The amazing Katie Horwitch is featured on this week's episode and we are so incredibly honored to have her join us. The woman is making HUGE waves and doing it through positivity, creativity and love. This episode has so many whoa moments...and you will probably listen to it over and over again.
Katie is the woman, warrior, and wellness activist behind WANT: Women Against Negative Talk, a website and initiative that helps women move forward in their lives by giving them tips, tools, insight and inspiration to crush their own negative talk patterns.
WANT was founded out of the realization that there were zero places for women to not only receive inspiration, but actual tools and resources to change their limiting negative talk patterns in a lasting way that works very personally and specifically for them. WANT is what Katie wished she would have had early on when she was first starting to navigate the highs and lows of being human.
Katie has spoken across the country, from SXSW to body-positive pageants, on the subject of self confidence and self image. She is also host of the WANTcast: The Women Against Negative Talk Podcast, where she interviews visionary women on the topics of body image, self worth, relationships, career, community, and a whole lot of pragmatic positivity.
Please join us in our Facebook group "Doing the Work with Jay and Becca" to continue the discussion!

This coaching episode is incredibly timely for most of the women we know. I am sure there are many men feeling the same way...we just haven't heard them talk about it! Overwhelm is a killer. It can take you down so quickly and take you out of the work so easily.
And what exactly IS "self-care?" We hear about it all the time but it can be a confusing thing to approach. Especially when you feel weird asking for help with it.
Summer is hard...that doesn't sound quite right, but when the workload adds on the desire to just veg out, it can be next to impossible to keep yourself focused and in the work. Hopefully this episode will give you some insight into Overwhelm and how Self-Care is so so so important.

So excited to have Meg Keene on the podcast this week! If you haven't heard of Meg, you probably haven't gotten married in the last 8 years because she rules the Internet with her incredible wedding blog, A Practical Wedding! She is also the author of TWO best selling books, A Practical Wedding and A Practical Wedding Planner.
In this episode we cover so many important topics...from feminism to what we "deserve" to the flow of money and Beyonce shows up again! (Of course she is the Queen!) Part interview with a bit of coaching thrown in, Meg is not afraid to get real.

The events that occurred in Orlando, Florida in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 12th affect us all. This episode is a bit of a different take on a coaching session as we explore how violence against the gay community and America as a whole, looks through our story lens. How do we "do the work" during times like this? America is triggered and it is time to hold space for each other as we walk through this difficult time.
Please join us in our Facebook group "Doing the Work with Jay and Becca" to continue the discussion, reach out to others, and hold space for all who lost their lives in Orlando, the people who loved them, and for us all...we need each other more than ever.
