Get ready for a two-part Mike on the Mic adventure with the one and only Liam Sharp! Roaming power outages couldn't stop this interview from rolling on, and we still only get to a fraction of the artist/writer's career. We start in London with early work at 2000 AD and Marvel UK, where he first popped onto the mainstream radar with the Death's Head II mini-series. He parlayed this into stateside stints on major Marvel books like Venom: The Mace, Incredible Hulk, and Man-Thing. After 14 issues on Spawn: The Dark Ages, he took a turn away from mainstream superheroes with the Wildstorm series The Possessed, the anthology Event Horizon and the Vertigo title Testament. Later, he co-founded the digital comics company Madefire, but returned to traditional comics recently with The Green Lantern (Seasons 1 & 2) and his Image masterwork Stonehenge.

We get into the creators' history with the golden boy, where in the multiverse this story takes place, the Infinity Watch-heavy supporting cast, and the mysterious new character Eve Warlock. Bill's been on the comics scene since the 80s, inking over a who's who of artists, including Jon Bogdanove, Steve Ditko, Ron Garney, Keith Giffen, Adam Kubert, John Paul Leon, Doug Braithwaite, and Ron Lim. He's worked at Marvel, DC, and First Comics, on books such as Badger, Daredevil, Batman, Green Arrow, Hulk, and Amazing Spider-Man. He even inked the entirety of the massive Earth X trilogy. We get into all of that, as well as his work with Mike Baron, including Spyke, and his graphic novel with Carl Potts, The Flying Column: Road to Manila.

Don't let the size of the name fool you. Contained within Bob Hall's seven letters are decades of experience in comic book artistry and theater work. Perhaps best known for his run on Valiant's sax-playing Shadowman, Bob was a big presence in Marvel, DC, and Valiant books in the 80s and 90s. Over at the House of Ideas, he co-created the West Coast Avengers and worked on everything from Spectacular Spider-Man and Champions to Squadron Supreme and Defenders. Bob even briefly served as an editor at Marvel, before moving with Jim Shooter over to Valiant, where he also created the noir Armed and Dangerous. More recently, he's gotten back into theater work, serving as the artistic director of the Flatwater Shakespeare Company.

Breaking in with Marvel UK and 2000 AD (the one-two punch for many British comics creators), artist Barry Kitson has enjoyed a long and influential career. You may know him from Transformers (with past guest Simon Furman),  his early DC work on L.E.G.I.O.N. and Azrael, or from the classic JLA: Year One (with writers Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn). He reteamed with Waid on Empire, a fantastic, underrated series about a supervillain who actually conquered the world. It started at the Image imprint Gorilla Comics, but was completed at DC. Since then, he's been a steady presence at DC and Marvel, penciling everything from The Titans and Legion of Super-Heroes to the Amazing Spider-Man and The Order.
