Let's go down the Paul Jenkins hitlist, shall we? He edited Eastman's and Laird's Mirage Studio books, including TMNT; he served as EIC for Tundra Publishing, Majestic Entertainment, and Scoreboard Comics; then he decided to write. Like many other British writers before and since, Paul broke in on a little Vertigo title called Hellblazer.  Next, after some horror work at Marvel, he helped launch the Marvel Knights imprint with Jae Lee on the groundbreaking Inhumans limited series. Then it was off to the races with the introduction of The Sentry (also with Jae Lee), long runs on The Incredible Hulk and Peter Parker: Spider-Man, and a small project called Origin. Of course, that would be enough for someone's whole career, but Paul has continued writing for Marvel, DC, and Image, not to mention multiple video games and his own Kickstarter-backed series Fairy Quest. We're exhausted just thinking about his career!

A breakout star from his earliest work at Valiant, Bernard Chang has forged a career unlike any other. Following his almost two-year run on The Second Life of Doctor Mirage, Bernard moved Marvel, where he worked on various X titles and Iron Man: The End. But then came something different: a stint as a concept designer for Walt Disney Imagineering, where he worked on exhibits, attractions, and other projects for the world-renowned entertainment company. He also took on illustrations for books (many by Neil Strauss) and album covers, before getting back into the comics game with DC. After major arcs on Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Corps, Batman Beyond, and Teen Titans, Bernard is now completing the introductory Monkey Prince maxi-series (based on the classic Chinese tale, Journey to the West) with author Gene Luen Yang.

Here's a testament to Sy Barry's artistic longevity: he started his career as an inker for Timely Comics (before it became Marvel) and National Comics (before it became DC). That's right, he's been in the game since before Marvel and DC existed! Though he's worked on hundreds of comic books and comic strips, he's most well known for his three decades of work (1961 - 1994) on The Phantom strip. Talk about a lifetime achievement!

Oren and guest bandit Bob Kroll dig into Sy's career with the wonder and reverence it deserves.

If you don't know Jeff Purves from his run on the Incredible Hulk, you're missing out. Following some guy named Todd McFarlane, Jeff further defined the Joe Fixit gray Hulk era of the title as the second artist on Peter David's character-defining run. But once he left with issue #366, he was never to be seen in comic books again! 

Where did he go? Animation of course. Over a more than 30 year career, he's worked virtually everywhere, including Warner Brothers, Walt Disney, Hanna Barbara, Marvel Productions, and Filmation. Some of the projects he's contributed to include Captain Planet, Jem, Mulan II, Ghostbusters, She-Ra, Mulan, The Emperor's New Groove, The Simpsons Movie, DC Super Hero Girls, and much more!

Coming in hot with one of the best signatures in comics, it's jovial Gene Ha! Gene's been killing it in the comics biz for nearly 30 years, starting with DC and Malibu gigs in the early 90s. He hit the big time with The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix and its sequel Askani'son, which told the stories of Cable's childhood in the future. Gene may be best known for his heavily detailed panels in Alan Moore's Top 10 from Wildstorm's America's Best Comics imprint. Another high point is his creator-owned series Mae, which was initially funded through Kickstarter but has been published by Dark Horse subsequently. Most recently, you can check out his lush illustrations for Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons Vol 2 with Kelly Sue Deconnick and covers for The Wrong Earth from Ahoy Comics.
