And that kind of escapism is exactly what 39 year old tv producer Sophie Toscan Du Plantier was seeking in the winter of 1996 as she booked a flight to her isolated holiday home she used a little retreat in the quaint town of Schull, West Cork Ireland ….

Tragically what Sophie hoped would be an idyllic vacation would soon turn into a hellish nightmare, as her battered body was found just days before Christmas .

She had been brutally murdered in her isolated home by a vicious & unknown assailant.

Sophie’s murder was poorly investigated & her crime scene compromised from early on, leading to her case going unsolved for years.

That is, until charges were finally brought against the main suspect British journalist Ian Bailey despite him not being in the country to face his sentence…

Whilst some members of Sophie’s family believe ian Bailey was indeed her killer,

others believe the identity of the real culprit still remains unknown to this day.

On November 9th 1971 one of the worst crimes to ever take place in America at that time occurred in the safe suburban town of Westfield, New Jersey .

Devout church goer & normal family man John List had decided the best way to solve all of his problems would be to murder his entire family one by one.

Eliminating them all in the most cold blooded fashion before running away to begin a new life under a false identity .

For nearly 20 years List managed to evade capture & settle comfortably into his new persona whilst landing himself on the ‘FBI’s Most Wanted’ list.

That is, he thought he had evaded capture but that was until a very well known American tv show blew his cover by using a new advancement in technology to show what their murder suspect would now look like.

Finally List was identified, tracked down & made to face justice for killing his wife, mother & his 3 teenage children .

And once in prison List began to talk about his reasoning & the mindset that had led to him committing the unthinkable, wicked, cold blooded killings of his own family. His own flesh & blood whom he was meant to protect at all costs .

This case is about a man who really believed he was always one step ahead of the law, that he had committed the perfect crime, & gotten away with murder.

Multiple murders infact that are still so unbelievable that to this day List still remains known as the original & ultimate family annihilator.

It also goes to show that you never really know who you might be married to, & no matter how normal one may seem on the outside, on the inside a dangerous psychopath could be lurking under that fake facade…..

On May 9th 2021 the people of St John’s County, Florida were alerted to an ongoing search for a missing local teen.

Hopes for her safe return soon turned to horror, as it was revealed 13 year old vivacious cheerleader Tristyn Bailey had been found murdered in the woods. Tragically Tristyn had been the victim of a sustained attack & was brutally stabbed 114 times .

Not only was it an incomprehensible crime due to the fact someone so innocent had had their life snatched from them at such a young age.

But also because it soon transpired her vicious killer was himself also just a youth .

14 year old Aiden Fucci was quickly fingered as suspect number one after his suspicious version of events of that fateful night didn’t quite add up .

And not to mention the inappropriate posts he had made about Tristyn’s disappearance on his Snapchat account, which raised huge red flags with everyone involved in the case.

These social media posts even led to friends of his questioning could he infact have been the killer who committed this savage,brutal crime?

And they believed they now had an incredibly dangerous serial killer on their hands .

This hunch was only reinforced when hundreds of crime photos are discovered in his home , some of which lead to an unsolved murder case being blown wide open & finally solved .

Because in this man’s possession we’re not only whips, chains, and a torture kit containing many tools kept to chase utmost pain …

But also police found many harrowing, tragic photos that are now infamous in the true crime world.

These heartbreaking images captured the final moments of his 14 year old victim Regina Kay Walters whom he had kept alive for weeks so he could continuously terrorise & brutalise her.

A girl who, like so many victims before her , met a violent & tortuous end at the hands of this evil killer.
