Dragon Arcadia - In WLS Episode 617, Dungeon Daddies, at 38 min 41 sec on Rumble, Aaron begins talking about how much he hated the steel-frame Canik because it was too heavy. “It literally weighed over 10.17 pounds.” Shawn says that it weighs just under 3 pounds, so about the same as a 2011. Aaron says there’s no way, and he’s going to look up the weights to prove himself right. Shawn moves on and says they’ll get back to that after Aaron looks it up, but it never gets brought up again. I have an unrelated question for Aaron. How much does a steel-frame Canik weigh compared to a Staccato? Thanks guys! P.S. While looking through Rumble to find the episode, I kept getting ads for the ROTO 12 Compact Shotgun. Please look it up; I really want to see your reactions to this thing.

Shane H - I am a 07/02 FFL - Aero Precision used to be my go-to place for budget friendly parts with good quality. However, over the past year they have been impossible to deal with. They have made some changes and it's like I have to beg them to take my money. They also never answer emails or calls... Who would you recommend for AR-15 parts? Mainly looking for Uppers, Lowers, and Handguards... Thanks in advance

Ray G - What’s up bitches. What are your opinions on the Foxtrot Mike “Mike 45”? I have a Mat9 currently for a PCC and I love it! So I figured if I have a 9mm I better get a 45 so it has a friend. I know they are currently out of stock at the time of writing this but wanted to get a feel on what you guys thought. If you suggested the Mike45, what barrel length? Suppressor? Duran84 - I want to get into thermals, My budget is 2k. I have a Rix tourer night vision that sparked my interest in night hunting. My only complaint is scanning with the optic on the gun is tiresome. Should I get a monocular or a scope, so it could be dual purpose with a QD mount? What are some recommendations that the crew has thanks.

 

Standard Arms - Show is great. Thank you for serving our community. I am small kitchen table FFL. It’s been a great ride, with a healthy dose of fear! I am thinking about a laser engraver. I would want to it to be capable of properly marking firearms if I need to. ( the ATF spec of .003 inch depth I believe). If I’m investing in a laser engraver I’d use it to put my logo on stuff like magazines, key chains etc. This would probably be something that I would look at in a year and wonder why the F did I buy this thing. That being said I’d really like to spend as little as possible. Thanks.

ARDREW479 Your Mom - Let’s talk about pistol recoil springs and how they impact reliability. I recently added a Radian Afterburner + Ramjet to my Glock 19X and also swapped in the Radian Compressor adjustable guide rod. The Compressor includes 13, 15, and 18lbs springs. I started with the 18lbs spring and it functions properly with both 115 and 124s. Would swapping to the lighter weight spring provide any value? Is it better to stick with the heavy spring? Thoughts?

Dependable Don - I was relistening to crawler Carl and heard the ai mention hucow fiction. I looked it up and I’m scared. What are your opinions on hucow?

New AM-17 Compact Assault Rifle Unveiled

Russia's Rosoboronexport has announced the AM-17 Compact Assault Rifle, meant to replace the old AKS-74U. It’s lightweight, modular, and designed for special forces and vehicle crews. This rifle is arriving at a crucial time in the conflict in Ukraine, potentially boosting military effectiveness in urban areas. It’s not clear yet how much it will cost or its full impact, but it is set for serial production soon. Availability details aren’t given, but it’s expected to be rolled out shortly.

Hybrid Sights: The TrueAim Active Solution

TrueAim Sights has created a new aiming system called TrueAim Active Iron Sights, which mixes iron sights with reflex sights. It features a rear iron sight with a green diode and a front sight with a light-reflecting element. When aligned, the front sight shows a green dot, otherwise it appears white. This product is made of metal, is sturdy, and has adjustable brightness. It works without lenses, even if the battery dies or gets dirty. The sights are designed for Glock pistols and 1911s, and the Glock set costs $295. They're not available yet, but you can sign up on their website for updates.

New Sights for Your Diamondback SDR and Walther PDP

XS Sights has launched new sight options for the Diamondback SDR revolver and Walther PDP pistols. The Diamondback will get Minimalist Night Sights for $118.89, while Walther PDP users can choose optic plates for $82.99, a bundle for $157.48, or Fiber Optic Sights for $66.00. These upgrades are designed for better accuracy and visibility. XS Sights offers a limited lifetime warranty and a 12-year warranty on tritium models. Products are currently available.

Vortex’s New Scope: MRAD or MOA, You Choose!

Vortex Optics launched the Razor HD Gen III 4-24x44 FFP riflescope, a compact and high-performing optic for tactical and competition shooters. It comes in MOA and MRAD versions, making it versatile. It’s 12.5 inches long, weighs 32.3 ounces, and offers clear optics with 91% light transmission. The MSRP is $4,199.99. The product is currently available.

New Smith & Wesson M&P Shield X: Compact and Powerful!

Smith & Wesson released new Carry Comp models of the Performance Center M&P Shield X. They have a special PowerPort that reduces recoil, making them easier to shoot. There are three models available, all priced at $699, including options for thumb safety and a 10-round compliant version. The 9mm pistols come with features for better handling and optics. They’re designed for concealed carry and improve shooting experiences. These models are currently available.

New Armor Plate Offers Extra Protection

Adept Armor has created a new body armor called the Archon Level IV Plate, which is designed for modern combat and is lighter than other plates at just 5.75 lbs. and 10 x 12” in size. It protects against tough bullets including .30-06 and tungsten-cored threats but keeps weight down for comfort. The Archon will be revealed at Milipol Paris 2025 from November 18-21. This plate is different because it specifically targets current threats instead of being over-engineered for every possible situation. It’s available starting now.
