    The wolves of Fenris
wow loves this story, right when I thought I would hate the wolves after The Thousand Sons. nice rounds the story of the two chapters' encounters. makes you feel for both sides of the battle. when the bad guys are good guys and the good, bad.
My favorite in the series thus far; bravo!
"Prospero Burns" is a bit of a slow burn, but the payoff is worth it; both in the epic action that fans of 40K crave, as well as in the further enrichment of the lore that makes it such a compelling universe. The Space Wolves have always been, in my opinion, one of the most interesting Astartes legions, and getting to better know them from the point of view of a mortal man certainly deepened my appreciation for them. A well written and thoroughly enjoyable read; I highly recommend it to any fan of Warhammer 40K.
    good but...
Needs perseverance for the begining but well worth it for the revelations. Overall pretty good.
    excellent.
An excellent book, gives a great insight into the space wolves and their lives, recommended.
There are no wolves on fenris.
loved it. the saying there are no wolves takes on a whole new meaning. excellent defimatly worth a read.

    Publisher's Summary:
The discovery of an ancient alien pyramid buried under the ice in Antarctica changes Earth forever. We learn that we are the forgotten slaves of a galaxy spanning empire called the V'kit'no'sat who abandoned our planet 100,000 years ago during a massive rebellion.
Our ancestors, the Zen'zat, were given special genetic powers and ordered never to reproduce under pain of death...for themselves and their offspring. That means Earth's entire population is illegal and if the V'kit'no'sat return to reclaim their lost border colony they'll wipe out every last one of us. And they can do it easily, for their technology and psionic powers are insane.
Earth has to find a way to fight back, and the corporation that discovered the pyramid does not turn it over to United Nations or any other government. Rather, the CEO spawns a new corporation called Star Force, funded from the new technologies derived from the pyramid, and publically proclaims its mandate is to facilitate the colonization of space.
In reality its purpose is to prepare Earth for the V'kit'no'sat's return. In order to do that we have to create spaceships, mechs, aquatic warships, aerial craft, and armored super soldiers all the while seeking to unlock the dormant genetic superpowers our ancestors left us.
And to lead them all, 100 carefully selected individuals from across the planet are chosen to undergo the most advanced combat training we can provide them...and after that, we're taking orders from them as they try to figure out a way to beat an unbeatable enemy without knowing how much time they have to do it.

    Well event in blind
The Main story is super Great. Sadly the story time jumps slot, and the produktion quality Seems to lack. But i was sucked in as i followed the characters grow. sadly the time jumps just take One out of the gribbing story.. but stll Worth the Money.
    Not so good
Recording had background noise throughout. Reader was monotone. Story was all training for 4books. A slow read
    Story or Report?
The syfy elements for this story are interesting and has the makings for a great story but this story was performed as very boring report.
The first book I could not finish in a long time
I really tried to enjoy the story but it was eclipsed by the worst narration I have ever heard. It was like a 10-hour phone menu. Completely monotone with awkward pauses in random places.
    Horrible Narration
Story line is well developed but the narration is flat, and annoying. Narrator has little to no inflection in her voice and when she tries to emphasize or embellish her narration, it is poorly done and mostly out context with the story. Mispronunciations abound and cause frequent interruptions while trying to discern what the word actually was. There are frequent times when it sounds like a correction was inserted into the audio due to the words, or group of words, being much louder and over emphasized in respect to the story. Horrible sound editing.

    A great audiobook
Well narrated and masterfully written. Sci-fi from the perspective of unrepentant villains. This is not a book about the struggles of great heroes fighting for justice. Fabius is a vile creature, struggling to survive. He turned his back on humanity, on HIS humanity, long ago. Now his past has come back to scorn him, and his future runs short.
    A great take told.
Well narrated. a excellent story. deffinatly ready to begin part 2. Felt like Fabuys could have gad a tad more focus from the writer if anything. otherwise a freat book.
Best chaos story I've read since the night lords!
I had real doubts going in but this is actually the best chaos story I've read since the night Lords Trilogy after reading this I believe I will actually pick up the model!
disappointing ending... adding more words for min.
its my fault because I forgot these books can't change actual cannon, and without risk or loss the story becomes cotton candy.

the worst book so far in the series
the dialogue is boring and uninteresting. predictable plot. what happened to the Eldar in the end? it reads like a rough draught of the book. No editing has been done to make the writing interesting or create a concept of scene or character. I I listened because I wanted to see what happens in the series and the others have been really good so far, but this is definitely a step down. I hope the next one is better.

    Publisher's Summary:
In the hellish sprawl of Imperial Terra, Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor Erasmus Crowl serves as a stalwart and vigilant protector, for even the Throneworld is not immune to the predations of its enemies. In the course of his Emperor-sworn duty, Crowl becomes embroiled in a dark conspiracy, one that leads all the way to the halls of the Imperial Palace.
As he plunges deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the many palace districts, his investigation attracts the attention of hidden forces, and soon he and his acolyte Spinoza are being hunted - by heretics, xenos, servants of the Dark Powers, or perhaps even rival elements of the Inquisition itself. Soon they discover a terrible truth, one that if allowed to get out could undermine the very fabric of the Imperium itself.
    Members Reviews:
    Oh... Wow. Where to start.
This book started well... But quickly took a deep plunge into the warp without the gellar field right away. Interrogator Spinoza was given a Crozius Arcanum by the imperial fist Chaplain she had served with because she is so good at fighting.
If you know warhammer, thats like an inquisitor lord just handing over his Rosette to some random guardsman. It is very literally the symbol of his station as a symbol of prayer for the space marines that follow him, and a weapon he takes into holy battle. That is the pope handing over his Papal ferula to some random guy on the street. It reeks of mary sue-dom and bad writing to make his character look all the more awesome.
Eisenhorn was given a hand crafted masterwork bolt pistol by the deathwatch in recognition of his deeds in uncovering a major heretic plot, destroying an infamous tome of chaotic lore, killing a chaos marine in single combat, and intelligence in suggesting a means of training imperial guard to operate in a pocket realm of alien geometry. That was an amazing moment.
This is trite, forced, hackneyed, and just bad. have it be a power maul, or sword, or whatever. Not one of the most important things a Chaplain wields. For some more perspective, a spent bolt shell fired from a space marine is a Holy Relic. Not like, "i saw jesus in the burn pattern of my toast", but "This is one of the nails used to crucify Peter" There are shrine worlds that their main draw is that they have a single bone from a space marine. And with that people will undergo pilgrimages that will only be finished by their great great great great great grandchildren.
    Soooo good!
This book was amazing!! Great characters and a great story. Read this book right now!
Good overview of life on Terra
Good listen but not as gripping as The Emperor's Legion. I like these new books exploring life on Terra and additional time spent with the Inquisition.
I finally feel like a menial hive scrub
It was good, the day to day description of life was disturbing and the characters were charming enough.
    Life on Terra
This book provides excellent insight on life in the 40k grim dark. This is a must listen for everyone that plays 40k.

    Members Reviews:
Kick off point for the series.
As the third book in the series I feel this is where things finally get good. Books one and two are really more setting the stage and this book starts to pay off. Unfortunately this isn't a place where the reader can jump in at as books 1 & 2 are required reading.
The narrator is fine, if a little too fast (but a slight tweak to playback speed fixed it) and really sells the ships officers.

    A fun series...
Good story, enjoyable characters, excellent narration. Each "tale" in the seies just gets better. Fun watching these guys from rags to riches, spacer style...
    Another great Privateer Tales Story
Give No Quarter is a great new installment in Jamie McFarlane Privateer Tales and continues the story of Jamie and Crew vs the Belirand Corporation. The crew have to make some tough decisions and always choose the honorable option but there are heartbreaking consequences. Narrator Mikhail Naramore is excellent.
    Fun Story
A fun rollercoaster adventure story where the good guys win. Odd terminology from time to time, starships, sailing, damage on the waterline.
    still fun listen
amazing as the rest in the series
this series just keeps getting better and is definitely one of the best author/narrator combos i have ever found on audible. i just wish the last 2 books were out, cant wait for them.

Hay lozito, Read all 5 episodes when is the 6th episode being published, come on ken you know thats not a proper finish to the series, dont leave us hanging my friend, ken good narration fella,
    I should have known better.
People who write science fiction should know a little about science! if not they should be good at writing engaging stories, sadly this book only demonstrates a disappointing lack of understanding of basic physics and the story hasn't progressed since really since the last book, I wont be reading anymore of this series. Jeff Hays tries his best and tbh narration is this books only redeming feature.

    Magnificent story!
This story is magnificent and very well written. I love it so much! I love the story, the characters, the descriptions, the scenes, the suspense, the paranormal side... I love it all! The duet narration was also very great and perfect! I can't wait to read/listen to the next book in this Series. This was my first Odessa Gillespie Black's book. She's already one of my preferred authors! This was my first listen to these narrators and I really appreciated my listening! Author, story, narration: Perfect match!
    Very good story
This story was great. It has so many surprises that you have to pay attention or you could miss something important. I love that the narration has the male only doing male voices and the female doing only female parts. It makes all stories better. I cant wait to hear the next story in this series.
    An interesting read!

The narrator's were able to keep my attention from the first word spoken right to the last word said. So fantastic!
    4 stars
This book was my first by Odessa Gillespie Black and narrated Terri England. Erik Johnson was great as usual. The emotion written was well conveyed by these narrators. The simultaneous narration was a new style for me and I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed her take on Soul eaters and how these fit in with her God mythology. Even the good guy can be corrupt with power. Odessa did a great job of making you despise the villain and cheer for the heroine Caroline and her partner Noah.
I am looking forward to seeing how all the hard work of conquering evil will play out in book 2.
    Black Soul
Carolines mom has been keeping important secrets from her, kinda of. She has told her these thing all her life but she does not remember them. And now its Noahs job to help her remember and save human kind! I enjoyed the storyline. Sometimes it felt like you were on the edge of your seat a little waiting for the next big thing. It took a lot for Noah to decide to fight for his life. But she was the key all along! I really enjoyed the fact that the narration went back and forth. Nice job!

A great book, well thought out sorry
I really enjoyed this book. the story was well thought out and I really liked the characters. the only part I did not like was the insta kill sounds, a bit too much but that could just be my tastes. having a female voice was a nice touch
Another amazing LitRPG book by Harmon Cooper
In The Last Warrior of Unigaea we follow Oric Rune as he tries to level up to take revenge on a guild of PKers that destroyed his city and killed his people while he does everything possible to avoid death because unlike other worlds in the Proxima if you die in this one you lose everything and have to start over by making a new character. This book may be shorter then his others but its filled with the same level of snarkiness and humor that we have come to expect for players in Coopers Universe. This is an extremely enjoyable listen due to the writing and the amazing narrator.
    Great book, outstanding narration
What made the experience of listening to The Last Warrior of Unigaea the most enjoyable?
Jeff Hays narration and intensity with his reading was great. The moment that Annie Ellicott stepped in was a bit jarring, BUT that's only because it happened so late in the narration.
