Just what I needed

What did you love best about God Has a Plan for Your Life?

This is a message of love and hope. I was recently in a layoff from a job that I loved and found very rewarding. The loss of this job was a big blow to me. I felt like a failure, like I wasn't good enough. This book is just what I needed. It really spelled out what I needed to do in order to interpret God's plan for my life. It also reinforced something that I had lost sight of - God loves all of his children and has a plan for each of us!

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were no characters, but I did appreciate the short stories that Dr. Stanley incorporated into this book. Stories speak to us better sometimes than the message alone. I like the simplicity of the message. In this day and age where there is so much technology in our lives I crave the simple things in life and that includes an easy to understand message!

Which character as performed by Gregg Rizzo was your favorite?

Gregg Rizzo was a great narrator! He embodied the love and warmth of Dr. Stanley's message so well! I genuinely felt like this message was given just for me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes and no. I did not cry but I felt an extremely profound peace after I had listened to the book. I know that I've been trying to walk with Jesus for a long time and I've always felt unworthy and yet I continue to feel his presence in my life over and over again. He truly is a loving God.

Any additional comments?

This book is only a couple of hours long but the message was so deep and powerful that it took me nearly 4 days to truly listen to it. Do yourself a favor and take your time listening to the message. Open your heart and ask God to help you absorb the message. Finally, let the message and God's love work in your life. All things are possible with God.

Pleasantly Surprised with this Blessed Book!

This book was so wonderful and informative that I listened to the whole thing in only 2 segments!! I loved it so much that I went back and added all of Mr. Stanley's audio books into my wish list for future purchases. My question regarding how to discovery God's plans for me has been revealed along with others. Oh, what a Happy Day!!

Helpful and Balanced

What did you love best about The Forgotten Jesus?

I appreciated the many Hebraic insights offered in this book. It seemed fair and balanced, and I especially appreciated his cautionary conclusion guiding further study and warning of the dangers of sources that might elevate Hebrew cultural studies to the level of Scriptural authority. I found his discussion contrasting the thinking and language of the Greeks vs the Hebrews quite helpful to explain many of the differences I've noticed in my own study of those languages. I very much resonated with his critique of our Greek-esque Western tendency to "educate ourselves beyond obedience." The section on the six major good shepherds (Abel, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David and Amos) that prefigured the Messianic seventh seemed the weakest to me. Why those names and not a Job or Abraham? The selection of six seemed arbitrary though the prophetic role of Messiah as Shepherd I'm convinced is huge. Overall I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others.

Good and interesting information, the reading seemed to be a more dramatic reading than was necessary for the topic.

Could have been better.

this book started off great. The first four chapters were really good. then it just fizzled out from there. I thought I was going to learn more about Jesus's life from a Jewish perspective. but the book doesn't explain in detail Jewish laws and customs and how the affect Jesus. I did like the narrator. the book is okay. but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Powerful

Liberal Left's War on Traditional American Values

The Progressive left has taken lead and control of the liberal movement today waging a rigorous assault upon the foundation of our Christian-Judaeo Republic. Tearing at our borders, dividing our people in the name of diversity, promoting accommodation instead of assimilation pushing towards a new world government and away from our Sovereignty and nationhood to globalist society.

Facebook is extremely helpful for understanding the culture of the current generation is growing up in. This is a must-read for any Christian in a leadership position of any capacity. Very telling and very well written. The voice narration wasn't great at the start but it gets better as the book goes on.

Excellent dream and vision interpretations! Not all dreams are from the Father, but the ones that are, and you know it, this glossary is on point to help with the interpreting symbols. Always pray first for revelation, then use this book as confirmation and deeper understanding of your dreams. I bought extra copies to give to friends. So glad it's on Amazon now! Great material, but somewhat difficult to listen to.

Dr. Clark's research, experience, and scholarship is thorough and broad, bringing much needed clarity to the discussion of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have found much food for thought here.

As for the narration, I have heard other works of Mr. Crockett's, and while I still cringe every time I hear him say "subSEEquent," I happily note the continued improvement in his craft. All in all, a bit difficult to listen to but worth the small stuggle!

Solid teaching from John Bevere

John Bevere never shirks from saying what needs to be said and this book is no exception. The narrator is very good. No over acting. No weird pronunciations as in one book I listened to. In short, No distractions. Full of helpful examples John teaches how we can achieve intimacy with God, and also why we fail to achieve intimacy with the one we are supposed to love most of all. Highly recommend. I want to listen to it again.

Writings that influenced holy canons.

Behind the scenes where scholars dominate are the apocryphal works that influenced scripture - but how many people know about it? The author truly understands this field of knowledge and he managed to say it in language that somebody like me can grasp.

I like the way the author narrates. It's unique and down to earth. Maybe I'll one day read some of the most significant apocryphal texts. Or not. I trust the author as a guide to this literature.

Some of the topics covered peaked my interest. Joseph, Mary, Jesus' brothers and others - they are covered in ways that I never came across other than basic beliefs about them. The stories within along with the professor's explanations provide insight into the thinking about canonical selections as well as various Christian practices.

In a way, I think people who care about scriptures will want to know what scholars such as the author have found. On the other hand, exposure to all the miracles described in this other literature seems to me something that would make listeners skeptical.
