So, when a university calls with a giant scholarship for him, his parents do the only thing you can with a scrawny werewolf and send him away to get a higher education.
As a wolf who never expected to leave his pack, let alone his home state of Oklahoma, Lucas dejectedly travels to Massachusetts to attend Salem State University. But he quickly learns that packs don't end with blood, as he meets a lonely girl who can talk to ghosts and an aggressive alpha who wants this little wolf as more than just a friend.
Swept up in the games of Human versus Zombies and dorm life, Lucas has to learn how to blend in without wolfing out.

Fun werewolf coming of age story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it was short, but a fun story of a werewolf leaving home for college and dealing with people and situations he was sheltered from, having grown up on a farm.
What about Gus Klondikes performance did you like?
Gus did all the voices very well and kept the pace going forward.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Made me laugh in a few places.
    Any additional comments?
Planning to listen to the next 3 in the series.
    Great reader, dull story
I enjoyed Gus Klondike's narration. He had distinctive voices for each character and gave expression to even the dullest prose. I will definitely look for more of his audiobooks.
But I won't be continuing with the HVZ series. Here's why.
If you are expecting a novel when you get this book, you will be quite disappointed. It's a novella-length work that cuts off abruptly in order to force you to buy the next book if you want to find out what happens next.
Fortunately for me, I don't care what happens next. The actual plot of the story barely just begins by the end of Chapter 15, and the next "chapter" is titled "Epilogue."
Just to give you an idea of how slowly the story moves, we go through five chapters without even learning that the main character has been a werewolf since birth. This is a strange revelation, given that the entire story is written from his point of view, and it isn't exactly a secret to him that he's a werewolf. Why this knowledge should have been hidden from the reader, I don't know.
But the big problem with this book is a there is no narrative tension. The character just moves from one scene to another. There are tedious descriptions of what orientation week is like on college campuses, with lots of details that are completely irrelevant to the rest of the story.

    Okay story with mediocre narration.
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
    Nope.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Filled in the holes in the story and chosen a narrator that could at least attempt a Cajun accent to fit the character Eric.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
    See above.
Could you see The Articles of Release being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Hmmmmm.... Josh Stewart as Eric, he can actually hit that Cajun accent.
    Any additional comments?
Troy Daniels knows what it's like to feel like you are less than, to feel like you are lacking because a part of your body is missing or broken. It's part of the reason he's an adrenaline junkie. He feels this need to prove to everyone, especially himself, that his disability doesn't define him as a man or a person. When he meets Army vet Eric Tremaine, sparks fly, but not the ones that ignite from a mutual attraction. Eric mistakenly paints Troy with wrong brush. Thankfully, Eric isn't a man that can't recognize when he's wrong. Apologies lead to lunch and eventually dinner and a mutual attraction is explored, very slowly at first. But Troy has a problem with sitting still, or refusing any offer to do something he probably shouldn't, which just might drive a wedge between him and Eric that can't be fixed.
Okay, I really, really wanted to like this book. I had several issues though, most notably the narration. Eric Tremaine is obviously Cajun, what with the last name but he's also referred to as the Cajun more than once in the story. The narrator didn't even attempt to give him a Cajun accent. He could have given him a southern accent if he couldn't re-create the appropriate tones or nuances for a Cajun, but no, he was almost monotone and it really affected the story for me. The story itself was choppy and at times, stilted. I did enjoy the exploration of feelings and attitudes in the story though. Eric's anger over his injury and the fact that he wanted to make his life around the army, and being injured while on duty killed that dream. Troy's inability to say no when he's offered chances to fly a plane and do stunts, ride a motorcycle and so on.

    Very sweet
This was an incredibly sweet little story. The story and characters are very well developed for such a short story. Lots of drama and angst. Very much enjoyed this. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of this series.
The narrator gave a wonderful performance. His reading style was somewhat sedate however. I speed up the book to 1.5x and I enjoyed it much better.
This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review.
Sweet m/m romance overcomes eye-rolling plotline.
I had a hard time rating this one, because I did ultimately like and enjoy the story, despite some outlandish plot twists worthy of a soap opera.
At first listen, the narration seemed a bit flat and character voices indistinguishable ... but after a few minutes, I was able to follow along with no problem and the narration did make the story more enjoyable for me (than just reading it myself).
In the end, despite the eye-rolling plot points, the sweet m/m romance proved to be memorable and worth the listen. This was my first Aria Grace book and first I read in the series. I was able to follow along with no problem and went on to listen to other books in this series (since they are included in the Romance Package).
not quite what I was looking for but still good
I'm not gonna lie I just wanted to hear a book with a little story and lots of hot guy action, but this book was the other way around, and I enjoyed it very interesting. the main antagonist is resolved too quickly and cleanly. the sex happens in like the last five minutes I was disappointed by how short it was and how the book just ends right after that. I'm hoping the other books have just a tad bit more that being said the story was intriguing and the narrator did an awesome job, he had a "bedroom voice" the whole time and I liked it.
An Unexpected Saviour and the Man He Saves
My Name is Luka is a touching book about a young man who is weeks away from his 18th birthday who can hardly wait to escape his physically abusive father.
After one beating that caused a mild concussion his downstairs neighbor who is 21 takes him in and helps him recover from the concussion. After a second literal whipping almost to the point of death Luka, the near-18 y/o, is taken my Brad, his friend and neighbor, to a couple who volunteer at an LGBTQIA homeless youth shelter.
I must congratulate Brad on his self control because he refuses to do anything untoward until Luka turns 18. Luka gets the best birthday present ever. Not just great sex but a life-partner.
I recommend this book. Aria Grace is never shy on taking on the tough topics that face the LGBTQIA community and the greater community at-large.
    Bring tissues!!!
When I started my binge listening Aria Grace, I only read the description of 1 book. After that, I one clicked several more (audio & kindle versions). I started Luka without reading the blurb.
Tim Todd has a voice that haunts you! He brings to life the heartbreak, the longing. You can almost feel every bruise, each tear that falls.

    Publisher's Summary:
Where do you run when there's nowhere left to go?
    Tooth & Claw, book 3.
Levi, Darius, and Ian are on the run, but Levi's wolf clan is the least of their problems. Levi's now part vampire. Darius, a vampire for the last half century, is now part wolf. They have to feed on blood, but a bite will turn a human to a wolf. They're left with only one option: find a group of wolves to live among...which is a challenge when the wolves want them dead.
Finally, on a remote island off the coast of Alaska, they find a small community willing to let them stay, at least for the time being. The decision isn't unanimous, though. Some are willing to destroy their own village to see them gone, and only at great risk do the three convince the townsfolk to lay down their Molotov cocktails. Yet just as the trio begins to trust they've at last found peace, one of the clan elders learns that the island wolves are harboring them. And he's going to make sure Levi, Darius, and Ian fry under the deadly Alaskan sun.
Warning: Contains a vampire and two vampire-wolves who are seriously over all this running around stuff. Also lots of bullets and fur flying, but you'd better believe the boys still find time to burn up the sheets.

    Tooth and Claw Conclusion
The United & the Divided is the final book in this trilogy. It's the conclusion of Levi, Darius and Ian's story after their lives keep snowballing out of control. Fortunately the men are still supportive and there for each other, stepping up even if it means death. But Ian is tired of it all and seeks a solution.
While everything was tied up, I still wondered how Levi, Darius and Ian would cope, being in one place for eternity. Yes, wolves were moving out but would this become where less desirable wolves would be sent? By the Elders? Because those of the faith don't want to stick around. We've seen what happens when hatred overcomes an Elder's directive. So I wonder just how safe Levi, Darius and Ian are in the long run. They still have a ways to go. And their lives are forever altered. I can't imagine being stuck on a small island in the blistering cold for eternity. Whether they influence those on the island and change happens or if the Elders change their mandate. . . There should be another story to watch whether Levi, Darius and Ian are content. .. Satisfied. . . Or just tolerant of their situation. There's still a lot to pursue with this story. - Dan's Wife
    Love this series
I found the audiobook and could not stop listening. I love L A Witt books but this was the best yet. Looking forward to more of her books
    The End?
I have so loved this trilogy and don't want to say goodbye to these characters. The mix of danger, humor, love and sex as told by L.A. Witt, is always a winning combination.
Loved it! I moved it right to the reread ...
L.A Witt do I need to say more ? Loved it! I moved it right to the reread list
Great ending to an excellent series!
Radius, Levi and Ian are back and on the run! The chemistry is still there and they definitely find time to get it on. A lot.

    Some mistakes are worth repeating.
Luke always thought he and Winter were the perfect couple - until the day Winter announced he was taking a new job and they were uprooting and heading for Germany. No discussion. No debate. For the first time in his life, Winter miscalculated. Badly. Now Luke is trying his best to move on with his life, but Winter is back in town and he's set on digging their relationship out of the deep freeze.
Part of the Comfort and Joy anthology.

I was annoyed that Lu gave in so easily - then ran ...
Both characters start at opposite sides, and major changes happen without clear reasons. Winter shows back up, with no explanation or apology, expecting Lu to just forget everything that happened and jump into bed. I was annoyed that Lu gave in so easily - then ran away! And we don't learn how that worked out. Jump ahead to Christmas, and a contrived meeting that ends with everything settled with no real effort or feeling of connection that will keep them together in the future. Not one I will be rereading.
    Short and sweet.
Winter and Luke were a long time couple who broke up over Winter's new job in Berlin. Luke felt unappreciated and didn't want to uproot his life on short notice. When Winter comes back 6 months later the plot thickens and the seduction begins.A short story with heart and great dialogue. The 2 MC' s are flawed and real and the plot unfolds easily.
    Realistic long-term relationship MM romance
The difficulties that arise in a long-term relationship when you've been loved unconditionally for so long that take your partner's love for granted. It's lovely and realistic.
    awesome
    awesome
Excellent Christmas m/m romance, minor spoiler in the review
I originally read this as part of an anthology that is no longer in print. There were several very good stories, but this was the stand out one for me. It's hard to make long term relationships, especially ones that have broken up, romantic. But LB Gregg manages it with Winter and Luke. I loved the beginning, when Luke runs out of his own house to avoid a confrontation with Win, and it only got better! Great characters and great situation. I've owned it since 2014 and it's a frequent reread for me, especially around Christmas time. I wouldn't mind catching up with them again in another novel, it's that good!

    Cowboys & A Love Story
There are cowboy's in the story named Marty and Tripp. The story is narrated by Dorian Bane. Even though Marty and Tripp are cowboy's they still love each other. I didn't like Tripp at first for how he acted but once you knew why I found that I liked him. There is a lot of angst in this story but the love story is well worth reading. Dorian Bane is a wonderful narrator. I wish more books were narrated by him. I really liked this book.
    Cowboy Up
This is a favorite series of mine. This was done right. Mr. Bane is spot on
    Sexy cowboys
Would you consider the audio edition of Pickup Men to be better than the print version?
    yes
Who was your favorite character and why?
so hard to pick. I loved Marty, Tripp but I loved the accent of Eric
What about Dorian Banes performance did you like?
everything.Dorian has a smooth, mesmerizing voice. He hits all the inflections perfectly giving excitement, drama and humor to the story. I liked how he changed his voice enough that each character had a life of his own. He also has a deep timbre that when reading the sexual parts was so sensual and sexy.
I started this in the afternoon and couldnt shut it off it was so good and I already had read the story so I knew how it went and ended!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The hoofbeats in Tripp's head though the sex scenes were so sensual and sexy. I also thought Marty's feelings were very well conveyed throughout the book.
    Any additional comments?
I will be looking for more of Dorian Banes performances
    Perfect narration!
Marty is out and proud in a world where thats just not done. Hes been secretly dating Tripp the hottest bull rider on the circuit and thinks hes pretty happy though hed rather be out of the closet. When Marty saves Tripps life, and ends up critically injured and Tripp doesnt even come over to thank him for his troubles for fear of looking too gay, Marty knows he cant keep being the dirty little secret for Tripp anymore.
After Marty breaks up with Tripp, Tripp starts to re-evaluate his life and his priorities and realizes that he has a lot of past history to reconcile before he can be the man Marty needs.
After clearing some old ghosts from his past, Tripp decides hes finally able to be the man Marty needs, but a lot can happen when a rodeo star outs himself in a bigoted world

    OH.MY.WORD!
Such a beautiful book! Beautifully written, beautifully told, beautifully narrated!
I get ahead. I usually write a bit about the book, and then a separate bit about the narration but I can't split them apart.
For part of the beauty of this book, is its narration by Michael Ferraiuolo. His voices are simply brilliant! Aillil's broad, raw Scot accent. Malcolm's much softer, proper English one. The professor's voices at the school Malcolm taught, and Aillil's brothers voices. Then over time, to Billy and Neil's American voices and the much softer Scot accent of today.
His portrayal of Aillil, then and now, of Malcolm and Billy, of everything that happens between them, is quite simply stunning.

Sometimes, to reach the surface you have to fall to the bottom first....
For the past 10 years, Riley Davis' life has been overshadowed by the tragic death of his partner. Fluctuating between alcohol-induced daze, clinical depression, and throwing all of his time and effort into his business, Riley doesn't believe, or even hope, that his life will ever be worth living again.
That's until Sonnie Frye drops by his haberdashery shop, changing his life forever.
Sonnie is a man who likes getting what he wants, when he wants it. Sonnie is used to putting his needs, goals, and desires first, unwilling to compromise his own happiness for anybody else.
That's until he meets a handsome shop owner whose eyes are so sad that they immediately tug at Sonnie's heartstrings.
Seeing something he wants, Sonnie is determined to get under Riley's skin and, preferably, into his bed. But he soon discovers the task is not that easy. For the first time in his life, Sonnie may need to put someone else's needs before his own and re-evaluate what really matters in life.

    Great book
Where does Piece by Piece rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
I loved this, great easy listen.
What did you like best about this story?
The love that they had for each other finally shining through.
"I can put him back together," Sonnie replied. They might as well get it all out in the open.
"Yeah? And how the hell are you going to do that when nobody succeeded in the past ten years?" Penn asked, anger lacing his words.
Sonnie squared his shoulders, standing up to his full height, not appreciating being doubted. "Piece by piece."
This is where Sonnie is telling Penn he is good enough for Riley.
Which character as performed by George A. Thorn was your favorite?
    I loved Riley
If you could rename Piece by Piece, what would you call it?
I wouldn't change it, it is so right.
    Any additional comments?
Ok so I received the Audiobook from Teodora, and can honestly say that I really enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster of a book. Riley broke my heart and with Sonnie's help rebuilt my heart piece by piece as he did with Riley
Heartbreaking at first, but really sweer
If you could sum up Piece by Piece in three words, what would they be?
    Heartbreaking, sweet, cathartic
What other book might you compare Piece by Piece to and why?
    Godsend by Sloan Johnson
    Which scene was your favorite?
    Fireworks in the park
If you could rename Piece by Piece, what would you call it?
    Catalyst
    Any additional comments?
This audiobook was a gift from the author, and I'm so thankful. My heart hurt in so many places, but I like how the MCs dug into themselves (with lots of encouragement from each other) to improve their own lives.

    Publisher's Summary:
Twenty-three-year-old Clark Stevens, a popular wide receiver with a potential NFL contract, has a few problems. He's got a jealous girlfriend, a narrow-minded and controlling father, an attention problem, and an unexpected and powerful attraction to the trauma doctor - the male trauma doctor - who treats him for a broken bone.
Dr. Jody Williams is getting some really mixed signals. He can't ignore how much he wants Clark, because it's obvious Clark feels the same way. For the out and proud doctor, the solution seems very simple. For Clark, it's not! His world is not gay-friendly, and the obstacles he's faced have led him to deny his sexuality for years.
It's the Super Bowl of disasters, no matter how you look at it. In the end, Clark has to decide if he's going to stick with the only life he's ever known or take a chance on a new one with Jody.

    Interesting OFY
Clark is the Berkley star wide receiver. He meets Jody in the ER when he breaks his arm. Though hes never acted on it, Clark knows hes gay. Jodys out and proud. They dance around their attraction for one another for weeks until finally Clark gives in to the passion between them.
Jody is more than happy to indoctrinate Clark in the joys of gay sex, but he wants more. He wants to live and love Clark openly. Clark cant conceive of a world where the NFL or his family would welcome him as a gay man.
When Clarks family forces him to choose, who will he pick?
    **
In the prologue Mickie Ashling explains that this story was originally written in 2002. Even in what feels like a short time, a lot has changed regarding sexuality and pro-sports. Its not a perfect world, but its definitely more open than the world described in this story.
Clark is the stereo-typical closet case. Hes a gay virgin but he knows what he wants. Jody, however, is like no doctor Ive ever met. He agrees to tutor Clark in English to help him with his grades. He goes out to dinner with the guy. They hang out. All of this with Clark thinking hes fooling someone into thinking hes straight.
Im not sure why Clark invited his ER Doctor/tutor to Thanksgiving instead of his steady girlfriend or at least why he thought nobody would think that wasnt weird as hell. But he does and his family begins to suspect. Thats when the dramatic threats and beatings begin.
On the one hand I liked this story for what it was. A coming out story and struggles of a gay football player in 2002. On the other hand I didnt buy Jody as a realistic character. He was too gullible and did things that didnt jive with my image of an ER Doctor (in age or position). And I didnt like Clark or his version of being gay (he worries about how gay he is since he liked to bottom). Or how over the top crazy his family was about being gay. I was very uncomfortable with the way Jody referred to himself as a jealous queen and insecure fag. It didnt seem to fit his out and proud persona and seemed inconsistent.
I also thought that the whole ADD thing was kind of tacked on and didnt really add to the overall story, but it was nice that it finally got resolved.
This story would have resonated a bit more for me if Jody hadnt been a doctor, but maybe another male friend and if the family would have been a bit more toned down and if there were a few less slurs and clichés about being gay thrown around.

    great book
this is a great "finding yourself" book. a great must read or listen whichever you have time for!
    Great premise, but story drags
This story went into mind-numbing detail, though the basic storyline was a great one. The narrator had a lilting, nice voice, but her delivery was very wooden - almost robotic at points. All in all, I'm still glad I listened to the novel, but I wish it had been edited down by about half. The other option would have been to get into more detail about Sam's transition. The changes he goes through are almost an afterthought.
    The Best Boy Ever Made
This book was ok. I did not like the introduction and it was slow going for a good part of the book. The narration could have been better. The overall love connection was very predictable early in the book.
    Good book!!
A very good coming of age story that deals with the controversial topic of Transgender. I would definitely recommend the book. The plot is a little hokey but the message is still a good one. Not in love with the narrator but she did a decent enough job. over good book!
