    ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC,
Susan Illene continues to write superbly. The plot for this series is truly remarkable. I did expect the ending to this book and I am waiting anxiously for the next book in this series. I hope it will be published soon. Chris Dukehart performed very well as usual. Her voices for the various characters are so easy to identify.

The first book in this series was way better, so I automatically bought this one. Written In Blood literally knocks me out and puts me to sleep. This is just me though... Others might really enjoy it.
Better than the first book and it was awesome!
What a ride! A fitting and even more wonderfully complex follow up The String Diaries. Couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end.

    I loved this!
Where does Angelique's Descent rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
This is at the very top or near the top of the audios I have listened to. I've listened to a half dozen audiobooks each year for the past 20 years. My favorites would also include Fannie Flagg's Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man & Fried Green Tomatoes.
What did you like best about this story?
The original author (who just happened to play this character 1967-1971 on TV's Dark Shadows, and 2003-2015 in the ongoing audio series) really knows her stuff. She lives and breaths Angelique and writes of her very convincingly.
Have you listened to any of Lara Parkers other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've heard several of her audio performances, especially the recent Bloodlust audio drama, in which she was one of a dozen performers. 10 years or so ago she did an abridged Version of Angelique's Descent which had wonderful sound effects and another actor in some scenes. But this is an unabridged book, so every delicious word is here. It's an adventure story, so it's one part vacation around the world, and one part immersion into the best of the beloved soap opera.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It's too long to listen to in one sitting. It can be listened to for a couple of hours a day and be finished in about a week.
    Any additional comments?
I read the book when this came out, but had forgotten how sexy it was. I enjoyed it immensely. It's a true benchmark.
By contrast, I'm reading and loving Harper Lee's new book. It's truly a sequel for the lives of well loved characters -- and it's not a ripoff, because it was written first. So nothing that might happen at the end of the book (even if Scout ends up murdering her father) -- nothing can spoil the fact we have an important, enjoyable new sequel. After I'd read about five chapters, I discovered Audible's audio version which I downloaded. I hate to say it, but after listening to the first 10 chapters of Go Set a Watchman, I'm stopping and going back to the book. I always thought that actress was so good. Aside from her accent being okay, I'm just sad that her reading isn't on a par with Ms. Parker's.

    Publisher: Wetknee Books
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 53 votes
Genres: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Fantasy: Paranormal
    Publisher's Summary:
As the first female alpha in living memory, Terra Wilder already has her hands full bringing old-fashioned uncles and cousins into line. But with a regional gathering of ten clans on the horizon, the shifter will soon be faced with an even more arduous task: holding her own against a lineup of power-hungry pack leaders.
Justin Young is the strongest of the opposing alphas, and he also happens to be the handsome but disturbing older brother of Terra's own mate. Justin is far too powerful to vanquish in a pitched battle, so Terra instead opts to trick the alpha into supporting her cause by pretending to be a pack princess on the prowl for a husband.
Flirting with a shifter who looks like a dark reflection of her true mate is no fun. But if Terra doesn't maintain her clan's independence, her male relatives risk being tossed out into the cold while her female cousins are turned into chattel. On the other hand, if Terra succeeds, she might just lose herself - and her mate - in the process.

    No gratuitous erotica
It's fun to watch Tara learn to believe in herself and her capabilities. The story is good whether you've read the preceding ones or not, and the splashes of humor really make the day.
Bought as Whispersync on the cheap. Kelly does a great job of immersing the reader into each character, especially Tara.
    A Bit of Everything!
What did you love best about Pack Princess?
I loved that it didn't follow the shifter romance formula that you see in so many books.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Pack Princess?
    The twist at the end!
    Any additional comments?
I love how this series continues to grow. It is more urban fantasy then a HEA type book. The author did a great job of not treading the same ground as previous books. The one thing that really stands out is Ms. Easterling allows her characters to fail. Her main characters are true underdogs (pun intended) with plenty of room for growth. So many books are ruined by the narrator but not this one. She really does a great job in bringing the story to life without taking away from how you picture the characters in your mind. Worth a credit? In my opinion yes!
    I really enjoyed this story
Would you listen to Pack Princess again? Why?
    Yes I would it's a great story
Who was your favorite character and why?
Wolfie...I fell in love with him in the first book
What does Kelly McCall Fumo bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
The character voices she does are really good brings the story more to life compared to sitting an reading the book
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it was I was able to put on wireless headphones an go about cooking cleaning vacuuming an laundry an listen to it all at once. Plus the story was so intriguing I had to see how it ended.
    Any additional comments?
This is a really good Shifter story. I love the idea of a Female Pack Leader an Amy did a great job bringing that to life.
    Pack Princess
What made the experience of listening to Pack Princess the most enjoyable?
The continuing story of Wolf Rampant is a great addition to the telling of the story. Highly recommend it.
    Well rounded story.
I did not expect the story to go the way it did, but it was still really good.

    Publisher's Summary:
It's not always easy to differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys, especially when a trained killer may be falling in love with her evil hunter. Emma Hayes, a former military Special Forces operative turned mercenary for hire, finds her tightly controlled world turned upside down when she becomes the target of attacks by powerful supernatural creatures. Emma must use every skill in her arsenal to stay alive as she tries to solve the mystery of why she has been targeted.
Her list of enemies keeps growing - from Zane Shayde, an evil Mage, to a secret branch of the US government - and she doesn't know if there is anyone left she can trust. To complicate matters further, Emma is inexplicably drawn to Zane in a way she does not quite understand, even knowing her life is forfeit if captured.
Who is he, and why does he have this effect on her? How can she fight someone who calls to her body and soul? Emma is left haunted by questions, doubts, and fears as to why she has been targeted, when they will come for her next, and how she will possibly survive against an enemy she doesn't understand.
    Members Reviews:
    A fantastic action-packed debut novel!
I did not know this was Dina Given's debut novel until after I listened to this audiobook. This is a fantastic debut - I was surprised to find that out! This was a good start to an urban fantasy series featuring lots of different kinds of creatures, mages and magically gifted humans. At least I think they are humans - I wasn't really clear on Emma's abilities (and neither was she, for good reason). Ms. Givens did a really good job with her world building, particularly regarding the development of all the different creatures. I would say there was more world building than character development, and I think that is because our main character, Emma, was suffering from amnesia and doesn't remember anything other than the last 10 years, the time period after she was in a coma from what she believes was a car accident. So because Emma has a memory issue, we don't get a whole lot of her back story in this book. I think that will be rectified as Emma's memory comes back in future books. I liked Emma as a character; she was a strong female lead and I don't think she got on my nerves at all in this book. That always makes me happy because there seems to be a prevalence of wishy washy female leads in books today and sometimes you just wanna shake the spit outta em. Not Emma - she was a kickass heroine who was loyal and had a big heart.
This book had tons of action, mystery and a touch of romance. I absolutely loved Zane - and you will like him if you like those darkly troubled and conflicted male love interests, the ones you just wanna get your hands on and fix all their problems. I hope Emma finds a way to fix Zane - and I have a feeling she will fight for him. I hope so, I can't wait to read about it. I also liked a number of the secondary characters, particularly Eddie.
The book doesn't not end with a cliffhanger per se, but its an open ending so that you can tell the story is not over. We still have more mysteries to figure out, memories to uncover, and problems to solve. I am looking forward to the rest of the series, so I hope Ms. Given writes fast.

    Title: All Hallow's Eve
    Author: Wendi Sotis
    Narrator: Veronica Leckie
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 9 hrs and 48 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-17-15
    Publisher: Wendi Sotis
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 13 votes
Genres: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Fantasy: Paranormal
    Publisher's Summary:
Since ancient times, every Halloween, the ritual of Sanun is performed, freeing the dead to interact with the living for one night. One Evil Soul discovers a way to hide from the Return, remaining on Earth to meddle with the fates of the living. As the centuries pass, It begins to search for the High Priestess, intending to force her to do its bidding, no matter the cost.
Appearances can be deceiving, even in Regency England. To most, Elizabeth Bennet is simply the second daughter of an insignificant country squire, but in truth she is High Priestess and leader of an ancient cult secretly coexisting alongside British society. Confusion reigns when she learns that the man she despises, Fitzwilliam Darcy, is her Soul Mate, assigned to protect her from Evil. Can they work together to preserve the future?
    Members Reviews:
    All Hallow's Eve
This is a novel well written by Wendi Sotis taking the Pride and Prejudice characters back to an early time and weaving the paranormal insight of the story. It uses the characters in a different light and makes the story very interesting. I loved the fact that I normally don't like stories of this nature but it kept me interested so that I didn't want to put the book down.
I was surprised with Aunt Catherine and how she acted as compared to her in other stories. I also was glad to see George Wickham in a better light at the end of the story and the way it ended for him. Ms. Sotis also portrayed Mrs. Bennet and Mr. Bennet in a different light compared to other stories so that you wound up liking Mrs. Bennet in the end.
These are the thoughts I felt after I read the book,1) that Julian Clement should have been offered a job at one of the family estates since he was so kind and nice to Elizabeth, however, she offered the magistrate not to charge him with anything and 2) I also thought that even if Hannah was given her bonus for helping, it would have been good to mention that she was offered a job working as Elizabeth's maid in Pemberley.
exiting and romantic pagan version of P&P
This Pride and Prejudice retelling goes beyond Austen in so many ways, it's quite unconvincing. However, that doesn't harm the story one bit. Where Jane Austen might be annoying in sticking to the social conventions of her time, Wendy Sotis uses paganism to update the characters. Elizabeth is a pagan priestess, Mary a prophetess, Lydia and Kitty are not really silly: they just act that way because of a prophesy by Mary. The contrasts between tribal (pagan) society and English society make this an interesting read where you never know what will possibly happen next even if you have read a dozen P&P variations. I loved the confrontation with Lady Catherine, for instance.
The only negative I have is that while Wendy Sotis manages to really make her version of the characters come alive, her endings are generally a bit TOO upbeat. Every thread in the story is closed with the best possible outcome, quite explicitly. However, in this particular book that didn't stop me loving the book as a whole. It's an enjoyable read.
Good story with a different plot.
I bought this book 5 years ago when it was first published and read it every Halloween. It is about an ancient ritual of Sanun and Elizabeth is the High Priestess of the ancient cult. In true Pride and Prejudice fashion, she and Darcy do not know they are sole mates and he is to protect her.

    Absolutely Fantastic
Nikki is another Angel, part of the group who have been searching for the devil. August used to be her boyfriend before she was killed 30 years ago. August has been sent to earth to take over Blane's group. He is an immortal, and with two others, he arrives. But he finds that Nikki has been sucked into the void that is hell. No one knows that she was pulled out by Tyras, the devil himself.
Tyras wants to make Nikki his wife and she can rule by his side. She of course, is one of Gods angels, and would never forsake her faith. This is the final book of the series and it is fantastic. I'm sorry it has to end. Love the story and the characters.
Read on my friends. You will not be disappointed.
    As expected, outstanding
I really enjoyed this novel, hoping for more. I really liked the fact that there were just the right number of characters. The characters from the beginning novel still place a strong role throughout all the books. Once again, the respectful language is much appreciated!

    Angel series Book 3
I enjoyed the book from the start, I got a bit frustrated that Tyras couldn't figure out why flowers kept dying minutes after they were brought to him, along with people getting older and older the more they were around him. I loved that the knights were helping the humans to save Earth and helping Nikki find her prince, (August) they always felt a connection but thought they couldn't be together It is a great book and would suggest it to anyone to read it and all the Angels of the Knights books.

The journey with these hero's is unforgettable. The battles they encounter are remarkable. I hated to see it end.Battle between good and evil is always amazing, especially when it seems that you personally know all the good guys.Their battles and heartache touch your heart. You cannot help but feel you are right there with them.

    Meh
This series had a very strong beginning. However, it lost me in the second book. I pushed on to the third book but it didn't get any better. Kate Rudd did a great job with the accents.
    Book 3
Very detailed and interesting but a little too much "out there" for me. Good character development, storyline, and plot. Very unique.
    Are there more!
I wish there were more levels. This was a great ending to the series but it can also lead to a spin off.
    Must read entire series
I can not wait for the next book in this collection. This book is full of action and suspense. When you think you know you realize that you don't know. Wonderful read
Where or will there be a # four??
Kate Rudd did a much better narration on book three . I would say more Macha {if that is really a word} , and a lot less of the whiney weak Zoey.
story line very good. I own the entire series and it keeps growing and getting better.
