Absolute perfection!

If you could sum up Merried in three words, what would they be?

Heartwarming, romantic, perfection because every Jamie Farrell audio book can be described this way. While this is a romantic comedy both Max and Merry are guarding their hearts and when they finally open up and trust each other it never fails to bring a tear to my eye and joy to my heart.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Merried?

When the truth about Merry's father finally comes to light and she realizes how much he really loves her I just melted into a gooey puddle of love for both of them. There's nothing sweeter than the love between a daughter and her father.

Have you listened to any of Karen Whites other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to all five of Jamie Farrell's Misfit Brides books as narrated by Karen White and I think she does a brilliant job combining the comedy, romance and heartfelt feelings between the hero and the heroine. I have to admit to really enjoying the way she drawls a southern accent as she did in the third book in the series, Smittened. I'm a huge fan!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried through so many scenes I lost count. Merry's childhood was traumatic for both her and her mother and Max's grief over the loss of his grandparents made my eyes well up with tears but those are just two of many scenes that touched my heart in a way I won't soon forget.

Awful waste of time..

Probably the most ridiculous, long winded piece of drivel I've ever read... I usually love this authors books but this one read like it was written by a high school student with a thesaurus.. I actually had to force myself to even finish it.

Not Ms. Brother's best work, skip it.

This book is not worth the time to read. I've read a number of Ms. Brother's other books and have been pleased. This book has a plot, or I should say no plot. The characters are unformed and change drastically from the beginning of the book to the end. This could have been a good story if the characters were fleshed out and the story stayed on one track. I would say this story is bipolar if it were a person.

Love is in the Air

This was an action-packed, feel-good romance. Lots of HEAs all around. Not 1 but 2 new girls find their way to Cotton Creek and nab them some single hotties. AND.Cooper and Hannah advance AND.. We finally get to see what kind of guy makes Cody weak in the knees.. AND. JOE!!

J. Scott Bennett is the perfect choice for this series. He does an excellent job with all the voices and really brings the text to life.

This is the first book from this series I've listened to and it works well as a stand-alone. There were a few references from other books but they weren't crucial. The narration was done well but I thought Cade's voice was a bit too "old."

It's a country sweet romance that has every character in some stage of relationship. Must be something in the water!

Gets a solid Thumb Up... the other thumb is wavering, wanting more grit.

I must say that I only discovered J.S Bennett via this series, and he has made me fall in love with every book. Every book in this series just gets better, J.S does such an amazing job narrating these books that I must finished them in one sitting. As always beautifully written by Ciana Stone, and I look forward to the next release on audio.

Loved The Cover

I got this book via audiobook boom. The cover said it all for me. I loved seeing an older gentleman who looked that good even if it was airbrushed. Not saying that it was but even if. The one negative about the whole story for me was the amount of cussing in the story.

Great story by one of my new favorite authors!

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I loved this book, so much so that I will purchase it anyway. This is the second book in the SEAL Extreme Team series and it is as great as the first book! In this story, an American woman, Amber Fitz, who is the daughter of the owner of Extreme Adventures (the travel adventure company we were introduced to in book 1), and a known hacker, is unknowingly caught up in some deep and scary trouble in China, involving hacked DOD weapons plans. Her associate, who got Amber to rip off his bosses, is murdered in front of her by a sniper. She can't tell who to trust, even at the American Embassy. Her father calls on the SEAL Extreme Team to find her, the drive with the plans, and get both safely out of China. The Chinese Triads, rogue American groups, and who knows who else all make the whole process very difficult for the Team. In the midst of this, SEAL Charley Handly, a software game programmer and player in his off time, recognizes Amber as his online gaming opponent , Hot Girl, whom he has been wanting to meet. She also recognizes his voice as Black Pirate. And so this adds an interesting wrinkle to the whole rescue situation! Is she a traitor? Was she going to sell US secrets? The SEALs are suspicious. Amber is frightened and doesn't know whom to trust! The story is deep and involved and so interesting I could not put it down until I finished it!

Great series.

This book wasn't as passionate as the first book in the series, but I found it equally enjoyable because of this exceptional group of hot, sexy SEALs who are loyal to the country they serve. This book centers on communication wizard Charlie, and his female counterpart Amber, who is on the run from deadly danger she never saw coming. Plenty of action and unexpected consequences for Mack and Jenna, the central theme of the series remains centered on rogue expatriates who have nothing to lose and take no prisoners. The mystery continues. I can't wait for the next strong SEAL to fall flat on his face in love.

Loved this read!

Great book. I couldn't put it down. Navy Seal and game tester Charlie meets Hot Girl otherwise known as Amber and begins to fall for her playing in the game world with her. They set up a date while playing a game but fate intervenes. The suspense that follows and how they meet puts you on the edge of your seat!

Youâll either love it or hate it!

My first one of Lambâs books (and wonât be my last). I HAD to keep reading it. The characters reminded me of real people Iâve known, from the outrageous Aunt Lydia, to the mother of 4 who finally left her alcoholic husband, to the wife of the Minister who felt so trapped, to the psychic who saw the future and was powerless to change it. Until she did. In many ways I could see myself in each woman. Including the main character, Julia.

I read the one star reviews. My recommendation is that you think for yourself. Iâll predict that you will either love the book - or hate it. And what you experience is a reflection of you. Not the writing. Not the characters. Nothing but you.

Heart rending, heart mending

What a superlative book on so many levels. Although I'm a city person, I was prepared to move to Aunt Lydia's farm in Golden, Oregon. Julia went there to escape and found herself surrounded by love by an amazing cast of characters. I identified with parts of all of them, including the men. These people were so real to me, which speaks volumes about Cathy Lamb's character development. They were quirky, funny and, above all, caring and loving.

The dark side of the story chronicled child abuse and domestic violence. Julia had grown up in an abusive home, and like many victims, she was amazed that any man would want her, much less a prominent Bostonian. Robert constantly abused her, both verbally and physically, but she knew no different, until her wedding day. She ran like the wind across the country to Aunt Lydia, who had tried to protect her as a child.

This is a story of the triumph of the human spirit. Despite the sadness, I finished the book (with regret) feeling very happy. I highly recommend it because Cathy Lamb has awed me again.

Loved this book!

Quirky characters help guide the reader through neglect and abuse, very serious issues but handled so well in this story. As usual, Cathy Lamb's writing is exceptional. keeping you interested through the book. I just love her writing. She manages to write about serious subjects but keeps it yet keeps it from being maudlin.

A Sweet Read!

I adored this book! The characters were painfully real, the circle of friends that Julia had I envied, and there was a happy ending. Amidst the reality of child abuse, drug addiction, violence and much more, Julia found out how loved and deserving of love she was.

Pretty solid read

You know, I felt this was a good read. The characters were developed well and the story kept my attention. I liked how the women each struggled to be true to themselves and in the end earned the freedom that they were seeking. I do have a huh? comment though. I thought that Dean's reaction to Julia keeping Robert's harassment from him was blown way out of proportion. The author wrote his character to be level and understanding and even included in his past childhood abuse, so I didn't buy that he couldn't understand why Julia hid what was going on from him and had hesitancy fully committing right away.

Trusting is hard

Spencer Nixon, top marksman and debonaire dresser of Seal team 10 must get hired as bodyguard to Toni Williams. His team wants to find her missing father, Coran, and Toni seems best opportunity to do just that. He is successful getting the job, by using his own special technique to eliminate any competition.Toni turns out not to be the spoiled little rich heiress Spencer expects. She runs an established, well known charitable foundation to encouage literacy for children. But even better to Spencer she's witty, smart & beautiful.

The escapades Spence & Toni get entangled in while traveling are lively and exciting. The conflict of her beliefs of peace ( sometimes at all cost) and his as a Navy Seal, set up a real question of compatibility. But their base morals and ideals match and their connection grows. I've loved this series, the only reason this book has a 4 star instead of 5 is that Chapter 5 in my version was really Chapter 3 chronologically. So I was confused reading until I got to Chaper 5 and found the missing details. Once that occurred all was good. This novel is well worth buying & reading and I can hardly wait for the fourth and final book of the series.

Trusting the Seal

Long a waited continued series finally,these books are so good I want to savor them slowly like a fine wine or a good scotch,cause when their gone, their gone you know what I mean.I would definitely recommend this series to someone who loves military with a little integer thrown in great writing Leslie,please keep up the great work you do to keep us all entertained.

A Plesant Read

Younger brother Adilan is sent to get a valuable piece of property from American Michelle Reynolds by any means necessary. Around 30 years ago, Michelle's Mother & Adilan's father had a thing going & Adilan's father gave Michelle's mother a beautiful piece of land that contained a beautiful oasis. as per her mother's wishes, Michelle wants to turn it into a peaceful sanctuary for disabled people like her mother. Adilan's older brother, Malid( The Sheikh's Reluctant American) wages a nasty campaign against Michelle so she will give up the land & go back home. But things have a way of not going as planned for either brother. A pleasant read. A few distracting grammar errors though.

Short and sweet.

This is short and sweet. A true romance between Adalan and the American woman.

It was good

I normally love L P Dover books, this one didn't have much of a back bone to Lara and Luke. I didn't fall in love with the characters. One night stand and realize that they are in love. I would have wanted to know more of how the grew up as friends and developed feelings. Than Greyson being Lara's best friend that loves her and does these things to manipulate her. It was not believable. I would have wanted a different twist to it.

Great Book!

What made the experience of listening to Fool Me Once the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed the narrator. She did a wonderful job reading.

Which scene was your favorite?

It's really hard to decide which scene was my favorite. I liked how Aubry and Quinn were able to connect on all levels. Both realized that they needed each other. Katee Robert is now a favorite author of mine. She writes so well and makes me laugh out loud which is kind of embarrassing when I'm around others, but it's worth it.

Any additional comments?

This is the second in the series as a stand alone. I haven't listened to the first book and I was able to get the connections with all the characters but I'm going to listen to the first one because I enjoyed this story so much. I hope the third book comes out in audio soon!
