After the death of his beloved wife, Ove has no reason to live. That is until an Iranian woman named Parwaneh shows up next door with her clumsy husband and two adorable daughters.

this is not the book. only a summary. . not worth one credit
    A scam
I thought I was going to get the book. Instead I got 25 irritating questions read by a monotoned reader. Very disappointing.
    Did not like
Just talked about question and answer, no story. Would not recommend. Feel like I did not know this was just question and answer story.
Wanted to Return it after 7 mins!
I couldn't stand the reader's high pitched, emotionless voice let alone the absence of plot. The repeated question about suicide did not help either.
I thought I ordered the real book to listen to...

    Publisher: Simon & Schuster Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 59 votes
    Genres: Comedy, Satire
    Publisher's Summary:
What do you do when you spot a wild Trump in the election season? New York Times best-selling author and comedian Michael Ian Black has some sage advice for children (and all the rest of us who are scratching our heads in disbelief) in this perfectly timely parody book intended for adults that would be hysterical if it wasn't so true.
The beasty is called an American Trump.
Its skin is bright orange, its figure is plump.
Its fur so complex, you might get enveloped.
Its hands, though, are, sadly, underdeveloped.
The Trump is a curious creature, very often spotted in the wild, but confounding to our youngest citizens. A business mogul, reality TV host, and now...political candidate? Kids (and, let's be honest, many adults) might have difficulty discerning just what this thing that's been dominating news coverage this election cycle is. Could he actually be real? Are those...words coming out of his mouth? Why are his hands so tiny? And, perhaps most importantly, what on earth do you do when you encounter an American Trump?
With his signature wit and a classic style, comedian Michael Ian Black introduces those unfamiliar with the Americus Trumpus to his distinguishing features and his mystifying campaign for world domination...sorry...president of the United States.

    Hysterical!
A brilliant short little book. It's like Dr Seuss and Mark Russell had a baby, and it was this book. A must for all who like humor and politics

    Title: American Babe
Subtitle: A White Girl Problems Book
    Author: Babe Walker
    Narrator: Tavia Gilbert
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 5 hrs and 13 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 06-28-16
    Publisher: Simon & Schuster Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 94 votes
    Genres: Comedy, Satire
    Publisher's Summary:
Author of the New York Times best seller White Girl Problems and Psychos, Babe Walker faces her most daunting challenge yet - suburbia - in the third caustically witty White Girl Problems book.
Babe Walker thought she had done it all. After all, she's survived the highly exclusive social hierarchies of Bel Air, traipsed around Europe in true white-girl fashion, and left her mark on several of the best rehab facilities in the United States. But now Babe is about to enter a terrifying new world: Middle America.
After a freak accident that was definitely not Babe's fault, her estranged mother offers her the perfect escape from LA: an invite to her grandfather's 80th birthday party in Maryland, of all places. Babe's journey throws her headlong into elementary school classrooms full of small, unfashionable people; pizza buffet restaurants that will haunt her nightmares; and eventually back to Los Angeles, thank goodness. Tossed together with her cousins - basic preteen Cara and mature and preternaturally stylish Knox - Babe learns that connecting with someone on an intimate, familial level might be the most rewarding experience there is.
    Besides being thin, of course.
Hysterical, unapologetic, and as unfiltered as ever, Babe Walker proves again to be the "urban socialite you love to hate" (Time), and she can only hope the population is ready for American Babe.

    Title: Black Man, White House
Subtitle: An Oral History of the Obama Years

Narrator: Mia Barron, Cherise Boothe, Ron Butler, P.J. Ochlan
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 9 hrs and 27 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 06-07-16
    Publisher: HarperAudio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 137 votes
    Genres: Comedy, Satire
    Publisher's Summary:
From legendary comedian D. L. Hughley comes a bitingly funny send-up of the Obama years, as "told" by the key political players on both sides of the aisle.
What do the Clintons, Republicans, fellow Democrats, and Obama's own family really think of President Barack Obama? Finally, the truth is revealed in this raucously funny oral history parody.
There is no more astute - and hilarious - critic of politics, entertainment, and race in America than D. L. Hughley, famed comedian, radio star, and original member of the Kings of Comedy. In the vein of Jon Stewart's America: The Book, Black Man, White House is an acerbic and witty take on Obama's two terms, looking at the president's accomplishments and foibles through the imagined eyes of those who saw history unfold.
Hughley draws upon satirical interviews with the most notorious public figures of our day: Mitt Romney ("What's 'poverty'? Is that some sort of rap jargon?"); Nancy Pelosi ("I play F**k/Marry/Kill, and there's a lot more kills than fu**ks in Congress, believe me."); Rod Blagojevich ("You can't sell political offices on eBay; I discovered that personally."); Joe Biden ("I like wrestling."); and other politicians, media pundits, and buffoons. It is sure to be the most irreverent - and perhaps the most honest - look at American politics today.
    Critic Reviews:
"The four narrators will have listeners cracking up throughout this comedic look at America's first black president.... The voices that represent well-known people such as Joe Biden and Bill and Hillary Clinton are fully recognizable as delivered by the cast." (AudioFile)
    Members Reviews:
    Clever and Hilarious!
This book was so clever and funny. The use of the most well known political figures of the time made it interesting and easy to follow. It brought back memories of the election of President Obama in a way that I never thought of. D.L. Hughly is smart, funny and should continue his political observations for the current election cycle.
    Insightful and Entertaining
Would you try another book from D. L. Hughley and/or the narrators?
Yes, the narration was terrific. I laughed aloud many, many times listening to this book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Black Man, White House?
Michelle Obama's note of people crying during the Inauguration. I remember being teary while voting; it was so exciting to be part of electing our first black President and to finally have one was surreal and wonderful.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Whenever the narration switched to the Special Agent, there was a painfully loud censorship bleep (understanding that the Agent's name shouldn't be released); it was very disruptive and like an ice pick to the head.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Absolutely! And, I'd take all my girlfriends!!!
    Really Good
Very informative, funny and timely. Please start your next book on the present sh$&@t-, I mean, situation!
    Good But ...
Excellent job by DL to construct a story replete with characters from President Obamas time in office and what they might have said or thought.

Through hilarious stories, photo mashups, official documents, and future newspaper clippings, listeners will experience life under the leadership of President Trump. This is the road map every citizen needs to thrive and survive in a "Trumpocalypse." Remember, it will be Trump's America, but you have to live in it.

    Absolutely hilarious!
This is a must listen for any loser out there who thinks Donald's hands are smaller than the wall he'll build with Mexican money (i.e. UUUUUUGE). Dikkers writes AMAZING satire (I mean slander punishable by Gitmo) and is totally on point with his slightly over the top humor (which will surely get him waterboarded at Gitmo for his lack of "correct" uuumor). Keep on keepin' on!
The Definitive Guide To Donald Trump
Would you listen to Trump's America again? Why?
Yes, it's a hilarious take-down and also celebration of the comic book villain Donald Trump. Written by Scott Dikkers, a founder of The Onion, and a team of talented comedy writers, I think this book's comedy plays best when heard aloud. We just listened to it on a road trip and there were too many laugh out loud moments to count. It's really funny in a terrifying "this guy might rule the free world" kind of way.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Trump's America?
It was interesting to hear about the meticulous care given to Donald Trump's member. I picked up a few pointers.
What about the narratorss performance did you like?
I thought the voice of Donald Trump was pitch perfect - it's not easy for a human to capture the voice and nuances of a cartoon character.
Whats the most interesting tidbit youve picked up from this book?
Donald Trump's weight is fantastic, his blood is red and is cholesterol is medium rare. Also, I had no idea his skin was dry cleaned twice a week.
    Any additional comments?
This is a fantastic listen, satire in it's highest form. Everyone will get a lot of good laughs from listening to this audiobook. Unless you're Donald Trump. Then you should skip this and listen to Art of the Deal. Again.
    Not that funny
I'm not sure if it's because I kind a like Donald Trump because he so entertaining I love lately he's become kind of strange but it is the way it was in a great

This book is dedicated to the many opponents who would like to see Trump defeated and the end to his presidential campaign. They feel Trump's campaign has been based on insults, humiliation, and inciting his followers to violence. He has been called a bigot and racist and compared to Hitler. Some have considered him a dangerous evil monster.
In the past, many dangerous and scary beasts have gone extinct, so this book has been created in this spirit of comparing Trump to many now extinct beasts, including early humans and a new Trump species that is sure to go extinct, as many hope.

    Publisher's Summary:
2016 Election Fairy Tales was inspired by watching this crazy election unfold, as the conflict turned into a circus and prize fight. Instead of the usual debate about issues and opinions, the campaign became an arena of high drama, especially for Republicans, as Donald Trump, once considered just a reality show entertainer, captured the anti-establishment vote and became the front runner. Along the way, he insulted large swaths of people from woman and Mexicans to Muslims, the media, and other candidates, and he combined misstatements and lies with vulgar language and jokes. But the more outrageous his remarks, the more he got more supporters, and soon the other candidates responded in kind.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton battled it out with Bernie Sanders, and they escalated their attacks on each other. This growing conflict led me to think of the way traditional fairy tales can help to explain what's going on and suggest possible outcomes, since these tales recount in a simple way the battle between good and evil from the perspective of the less powerful who are up against the more powerful. Then, they commonly manage to outwit the villains and win, though the outcome of this election is still unknown. It's in that spirit that I wrote these fairy tales describing what's going on in the election today. The nine fairy tales include:
