    Title: The Raw Vegan Bible
Subtitle: Detoxify Your Body and Achieve a Higher Level of Consciousness with Raw Vegan Foods!
    Author: Dr. David "Greens" Conner
    Narrator: Matt Stone
    Format: Unabridged
    Length: 22 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 11-04-15
    Publisher: Archangel Ink
Ratings: 2 of 5 out of 19 votes
    Genres: Comedy, Satire
    Publisher's Summary:
Perfect Skin. Perfect Health. Perfect Life.
It's a proven fact that people who eat a raw vegan diet live longer, never age, and make approximately a million dollars or more each year (eat more greens, make more green). Now you, too, can learn the secrets of the perfect human diet in The Raw Vegan Bible by esteemed author (and super cool musician), Dr. David "Greens" Connor. Learn why enzymes are the key to increasing vitality and raising your Kundalini energy. Discover the secrets of superfoods and begin to have super poop (yes, it's true, you'll even get more comfortable with your poop after listening to this audiobook!).
    SAD is Sad
The Standard American Diet is killing us all, as evidenced by the death of the author's elderly grandfather. If only he had known to eat a 100 percent raw vegan diet, he could have lived forever. So which will you choose? Chicken nuggets and cancer or kale and perfect health? The choice here should be obvious, but if it's not yet clear, "Greens" gives some excellent examples in the book of people who have healed from all sorts of unpleasant diseases by just eating raw.
Zebras Don't Cook and Neither Should You
Ever wonder why wild animals never get degenerative diseases? It's because they don't have stoves! Our hands were designed to pluck fruit off of trees, not to hold a spatula. Get back to nature and discover the glowing abundance available to you when you eschew all of the food all of the people around you are eating. (I mean, come on, you don't really want to look like them, do you?) The Raw Vegan Bible will teach you the way of perfect health, so you can be in alignment with all the other species on the planet. No more fire for you, you caveman. Humans have evolved.
    Members Reviews:
Worthless. This book just makes fun of the vegan lifestyle.
The whole point of this book is to make fun of anyone who honestly wants to learn about this diet. It's a waste of money and time. I also found it was offensive.
It was a hoax! I wasted my money! No disclaimer!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If it were a real, genuine book.
What did you like best about this story?
Have to give him an S for SARCASM.
    Any additional comments?
There needs to be a disclaimer on hoax type books like this so that people don't waste their money thinking it's a normal book. It was a 15 minute long sarcastic joke. A bit upset that I wasted my time and money on this.
this book was not good at all
waist of a credit I'm glad I didn't spend money on the item. wish I could bet my credit back.
    What the Heck?
What disappointed you about The Raw Vegan Bible?
It was a waste of a Audible Credit.
Has The Raw Vegan Bible turned you off from other books in this genre?
Not Vegan...but yes, if it's false satire.
How could the performance have been better?
The reader (Matt Stone) was fine, the content was a waste of time
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Raw Vegan Bible?
I'd change the title. It was misleading
    Any additional comments?
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. My bad for looking only at the title and thinking it was a Vegan Book; A book that could help me learn how to implement a Vegan lifestyle to improve my health.

    Title: How to Be Right
Subtitle: The Art of Being Persuasively Correct
    Author: Greg Gutfeld
    Narrator: Steve Kramer
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 5 hrs and 47 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-27-15
    Publisher: Random House Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 324 votes
    Genres: Comedy, Satire
    Publisher's Summary:
It's not enough to be right these days - especially when you're not left.
To survive, the right must learn how to express nonliberal principles as effectively as possible and persuade others of their point of view. It is an art that demands patience, research, humor, understanding, creative thinking, learning from your opponent, and even mimicking their tactics.
In How to Be Right: the Art of Being Persuasively Correct, Gutfeld reveals the strategies that have helped him keep a steady job for almost three decades. From "Discard Your Outrage" and "Outcompassion Them" to "Find the Right's Obama" and "Use your Mom", Gutfeld gives listeners the tools they'll need to argue, influence, and convince their friends, family, and foes throughout the 2016 election cycle.

    Another great book
In a world where communicating ideas has been reduced to 120 characters or less, this book reminds us to be informed, not be too serious, and not be afraid to engage a liberal.
    Not narrated by Greg
Great book but to me it loses a certain connection when it is not read by the author. Especially when someone like Greg has a unique voice and would have added to all of the sarcasm in the book. It's just not the same when a random narrator reads his sarcastic points with no real connection...the narrator probably doesn't even know who Greg is.
    Where's Greg?
I love the book, but it is frustrating & disappointing when media members that speak for a living can't deliver the narration for their own book! Greg did for his earlier book, but not the last two.
    this guy is awesome
I seldom if ever listen to nonfiction it bores me to death but this was funny, entertaining and I actually learned a lot especially why I don't like liberals.
I prefer to hear Greg read his own books.
Narrator is ok but no one pulls off Greg's humorous lines better than Greg, himself. A writer's work should be presented in the most favorable manner. Greg's personality, speaking style and idiosyncratic charms are a strong component to the voice he creates in his work. His books would benefit greatly if he read them himself.

    Publisher's Summary:
The Watergate Rhymes aims to educate, reflect, and learn from that consumptive scandal, while using satire to see the humor in the human frailties of that maligned administration - and in ourselves, all with the perspective and understanding that only precious time enables. This audiobook is truly humorous, and it refreshes memories or creates a new landscape for the historical time traveler. This is a great book for History and English classes of all levels.

    History and Humor-A Great Combination!
Would you listen to The Watergate Rhymes: The Entire Watergate Story again? Why?
Yes. I LOVED the poetic narratives - so interesting, educational and "pleasant" to the ears. I could listen to this several times because I would pick up additional facts, previously missed, with each listening. There is so much information there.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Watergate Rhymes: The Entire Watergate Story?
I really enjoyed "Protesting Too Much." It is so like politications, of all eras, to deny, deny, deny - when confronted with indefensible truths. We're seeing this in today's Presidential campaign for the 2017 election. Lee does a wonderful satirical job of describing Nixon's incessant claims to innocence - funny stuff.
Which character as performed by Lee G. Lovett was your favorite?
I enjoyed Lee's portrayal of John Dean and Gordon Liddy. Accomplished, serious and respected characters in their day - Lee does a wonderful job in bringing out the humor of their shenanigans.
Whats the most interesting tidbit youve picked up from this book?
Honestly, I had no idea that 48 people served prison time due to Watergate. That was astonishing to me and really drove home the number of co-inspirators involved in this bungled burglary.
    Any additional comments?
The Watergate Rhymes is a one-of-a-kind book. The blend of history, humor, poetry and nostalgia is truly wonderful - and especially in audible format. Lee's use of poetic satire was truly meant for the listener, even more than for the reader. I recommend the book, but I enjoyed the audible version even more!

    Publisher's Summary:
In the tradition of the late, great George Carlin, Corey Taylor, the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour, sounds off in hilarious fashion about the many vagaries of modern life that piss him off. Whether it's people's rude behavior in restaurants and malls, the many indignities of air travel, eye-searingly terrible fashion choices, dangerously clueless drivers, and - most of all - the sorry state of much modern music, Taylor's humor and insight cover civil society's seeming decline, sparing no one along the way, least of all himself. Holding nothing back and delivered in Taylor's inimitable voice, You're Making Me Hate You is a cathartic critique of the strange world in which we find ourselves.

    Fun read
I found this a fun read. I work out alone, at home, so most of these things don't apply. However, I remember working out at various places, and running in to many of the people who violate these rules. And knowing that I have to occasionally go to public gyms, it is a good reminder to me for those times. I know I have some habits that would not be good in a public gym -- so I have to remind myself when I go to them. BTW some of those are military gyms, which tend to be more intense than some of the other ones that I have had to go to when travelling.

Excellent book. I've seen some gym rats commit some of the thoughtless indiscretions cited by the author. Most annoying are the macho men who feel that they must grunt to high heaven when they are weightlifting. I used to wonder if it was done simply to get attention. This book should be read by everyone who frequents a gym.
    Great for beginners!
What a great book for a newbie like me! I feel much more prepared for this new journey. The gym had always been intimidating for me, but now I think I can at least avoid some rookie mistakes. Thank you!
    Common Sense Gym Behavior
Short book, getting quickly to the point. Very basic stuff--if you don't know this material, then you should. But most people with common sense will know this stuff already.
    Five Stars

As the very tight governor's race grabs headlines in Wisconsin, it's important for voters to know why he is running again and what sort of competition Mary Burke can expect in November 2014.

Would you listen to Uninhibited again? Why?
Probably not. Scott Walker is Sarah Palin without breasts. He's scary. Just not interesting despite what he thinks of himself.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Tough one... I guess Mary Burke.
    Which scene was your favorite?
    Footnote Twenty.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"I won't be going to the RNC... either."

Carl A. Feldman Jr. is incredibly funny. He performed this perfectly.

What does Carl A. Feldman Jr. bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
He could make the driest text entertaining. He is hilarious.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
    This is a laugh fest.
    Any additional comments?
This is a spoof of "UnIntimidated." It is a comical look at the Governor's record in Wisconsin from his college days to his survival of the recall election. It includes chapters on breaking the teachers' union, the retirement system, corporate welfare and more. It is absolutely hilarious.
    Politics
    Any additional comments?
I didn't mind this book, as it had some entertaining parts and it was short, but I was hoping for less politics and more satire. A man can dream I guess.

Length: 11 hrs and 42 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 05-26-15
    Publisher: Penguin Audio
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 3068 votes
    Genres: Comedy, Satire
    Publisher's Summary:
The star of Parks and Recreation and author of the New York Times best seller Paddle Your Own Canoe returns with a second book that humorously highlights 21 figures from our nation's history, from her inception to present day - Nick's personal pantheon of "great Americans".
To millions of people, Nick Offerman is America. Both Nick and his character, Ron Swanson, are known for their humor and patriotism in equal measure.
After the great success of his autobiography Paddle Your Own Canoe, Offerman now focuses on the lives of those who inspired him. From George Washington to Willie Nelson, he describes 21 heroic figures and why they inspire in him such great meaning. He'll combine both serious history with light-hearted humor - comparing, say, George Washington's wooden teeth to his own experience as a woodworker. The subject matter will also allow Offerman to expound upon his favorite topics, which listeners love to hear - areas such as religion, politics, woodworking and handcrafting, agriculture, creativity, philosophy, fashion, and, of course, meat.
    Members Reviews:
Entertaining, but Offerman loses his way
Gumption is humorous. Not uproarious nor silly, neither cerebral nor aloof, the book is exactly what you'd expect from a self-aware, but decidedly out of touch celebrity.
Offerman is an entertaining writer, but he struggles to balance the character he has created for himself and the man behind his mask. In speaking of his character, I'm not referring to Ron Swanson, his famous alter-ego from "Parks & Recreation." Offerman has carefully crafted a character he portrays in public for television interviews and public appearances; he's a rugged individualist who prides himself on labor, craftsmanship and (somehow related) independent thought. He lauds such attributes in characters from America's past and some of his contemporaries.
It is when he gets to contemporary figures where he loses the plot. I love Conan O'Brien and find him to be a quite humorous man; I likewise think Wilco is brilliant. I can't, however, imagine a scenario where there accomplishments would be stacked up against America's "gutsiest troublemakers" like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin James Madison and Elenor Roosevelt. The gravitas of the opening chapters so greatly overshadows the relative lightweights of the closing cast of characters as to render the overall point of the book almost nullified. Too bad. It starts great, but ends weak.
    Inspirational
I am big fan of Nick Offerman and his works. Even more so now. I am not much of a reader, mainly because I find myself dozing off after a page or two of any book, so audio is definitely my favorite option. The author's voice is very pleasant I must say. -Nick, if things don't work out with Mr. Tweedy, I would gladly take his place. haha. However, I am also a heterosexual and married to and outstanding woman whom I still sometimes don't understand how I managed to land- While I cannot say I agree with 100% of his political views, I respect and can understand his opinions. And as I've learned, I feel the author would nod in approval.

    Wasn't for me, but ...
I have given this a very low rating, but I want to be fair. I dont think the content was poorly done and I think the author achieved what s/he intended, I just didnt find it funny.
This is a collection of mostly unconnected short stories written in the style of tabloid articles where the subjects are various characters from folklore. Things like Cinderella gets google glasses and accidently calls her step mother or the Beat and Bell get into a fight over his behavior.
Each story is about 3-5 minutes long and basically works like setup a slightly odd situation include a fairy tale character, play it out and use sensationalized language.
It didnt connect with me, I got about half way through and just turned it off. However, I could see people liking it who also like people magazine and similar celeb gossip mags. It did a technically good job of satirizing the writing style and topic selection of such publications.
