Love comes in mysterious ways!

What did you love best about Her Secret Submission?

Wow! My ears hurt from listening to this book for the last 5 hours! Such an enthralling story of a young woman who finds fulfillment in the most unconventional of relationships. I must confess I was skeptical about reading an erotica book but who looks gift horse in the mouth these days? Anyway, I absolutely loved the story line. Even from the early part of the story, one could tell that Alex was never in love with Jackson in a primal sort of way. She may have been content with him but never truly satisfied. It was endearing how she became liberated, bolder and transformed from the Office Cinderella to a sexy princess in the right mix of emotions.

I felt so bad for her as she pinned for Sir while he wasnt there (obviously, he was trying hard not to get too attached to Alex). I also felt sorry for Jackson who even though he tried to be all he could, he just was never enough for Alex. Alexs best friend Fiona was also a very wonderful character. We wish for best friends who will be there to break rules with us and slap us when were being silly.

It was a very well written story about complex emotions, a sensual unusual type of romance and very well-developed characters. This isnt your average erotic novel about ropes and handcuff, this is a story of a woman who found romance in the most unusual of places. I cannot wait to start on the second book in the series. The last chapter was so dramatic that it was almost a let-down when it ended.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it balanced the erotic genre with a proper story, a lot of that has been missing lately as authors churn out poorly researched clones of Fifty Shades. There was a building to the storyline that ended in a cliffhanger that leaves you wondering what going to happen next.

You also get so drawn into the characters that you find yourself wondering how it would feel like being in those circumstances. Who wouldnt love to be discover their secret Master was one of the richest men in the world, give me a penthouse any day!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I would definitely listen to this book again, especially the last few chapters as Alex struggled to balance her feelings for Sir with her relationships with Fiona and Jackson.

Hard to believe it is the same writer.

The clichés are raining down in every other exchange between the characters. The narrators way of reading the heros lines is hard to take seriously. The same goes for the female narrators choice to emphasize on stupid places and with "dreamy and breathy" voice at places that make the heroine look more stupid and entitled than she needs to.

Having a hard time believing it is the same writer that wrote This Man. It is like night and day. This is cheesy af. That was at least filled with humour in the light of all the craziness. SAVE your credit, read it instead.

Disappointed

I was really looking forward to the release of this book on Audible. Unfortunately it's not a patch on Jodi's previous works. The storyline was ok but slow in quite a few places. I wasn't in a rush to listen to it and left a while before going back to it. The narrators are awful. Jake's voice is forced and trying to be overly manly with the constant use of the F-word. Camille's voice doesn't match the age of the character and sounds too mature and the long drawn out pronunciation of some words is just irritating. Let's hope her next books have different narrators.

Good

WHAT IS PROPER?

I enjoyed this Victorian story that has a wild and feisty Delia, who has a penchant for theft, able to pickpockets, and even swindle customers of their correct change. She has worked in the fabric shop with her father since she was 12-years-old and has known he has arranged marriage to a man she cannot stand. Running away to become a governess lands her with Charles Hayward and his daughters Emma and Alice. What is going on in this household that cannot retain a Governess for very long? The plot kept me captivated and the pages turning with entertaining dialog and a unique situation between Charles and Delia.

Good read

I enjoyed this book and the relationship that grew between Charles and Delia. Delia was sweet and funny. But, I had a problem with Charles when I discovered he was a bigamist, was paying his 'wife' a monthly fee to keep her quiet and never said a word to Delia. She deserved better from him. It's just my opinion though, and I did have fun reading the book.

An extremely enjoyable story

Delia's Debt was an extremely enjoyable story. ÂI liked Delia in spite of her habit of stealing, Âas she was trying to help her father, Âwho's business was struggling. ÂI felt for her, desperate to escape an arranged marriage to a gambling rogue, as she ran away to become a governess. ÂI loved Charles, as he is kind, considerate, and loving, as well as disciplined and dominant. ÂEdward and Ida were both strange, each with his/her own agenda. Their parts in the plot weren't entirely believable, but were nevertheless intriguing, adding a bit of mystery and suspense. ÂI could have done without the drama of Delia's father, but that's just me. ÂCharles and Delia together were perfect, including the dialogue, Âthe spankings and the other activities they engaged in. ÂI wish the book had gone on longer, as I read it in one sitting and wanted to keep going. ÂI'm hoping for a sequel to this very entertaining story.

Even though this is the first book in the series, this is the second in the series that I have listened to. Each book in the series is written by a different author and can be listened to as a standalone. I enjoyed listening to how the Red Petticoat Saloon series started.

A feisty determined heroine, a strong dominant hero, a bit of romance, a little adventure and some steamy scenes all wrapped up in an entertaining story.

This series is a bit different than the normal historical westerns that I have listened to before. I requested this book for review and while I am not into spanking and I could have done without it, I enjoyed this story much more than another of her stories I recently listened too. Don't get me wrong a little bit of spanking is one thing but one of the spankings in this story bordered on abuse to me. The standing in the corner was just humiliation.

I received a free copy for an honest review.

I am all for DDlg books, this one sadly did not captivate me. I enjoyed the narrators acting and voices for the main characters. I wish the story made me feel for the characters, have a bit more heart and showed the beauty of DDlg lifestyle better.

I liked the narration in A Little Sunshine.As always she brings the characters to life. I really felt that both of these people should be in counseling.

Has A Little Sunshine turned you off from other books in this genre?

No it has not turned me off from the genre. I just felt I had to go back and listen again as I must have missed something. When I found I had not it was really frustrating with all her daydreaming.

The ending when he is romantic like an adult would be.

Elenas life takes many twists and turns in this book. It is heart breaking on so many levels. Dalton torments her like no other but she loves him and takes all he gives She can leave whenever she wants but she is not ready entail she can heal I cant wait to read the next book to see how it all turns out. This series surprised me because Because all the other books by Melody Ann were so different She has such a way with words you wont want to put it down

3 stars = It is what it is ... good for a laugh

Our review team has snickered at the ridiculousness of the selection of titles in what we call spoof erotica for a while now. But their absurdly high price tags have prevented us from indulging our curiosity. Until we stumbled upon Gaygent Brontosaurus: The Butt Is Not Enough as a Kindle Freebie one sunny day in May. While I picked this up months ago, I havenât taken the time to read it until now. What better time to delve into dino erotica than during the blogâs Bring Your Own Book month? Not to mention, itâs only fair that I read it too after I egged on the other ladies to do so.

Keeping in mind that I knew this was spoof erotica and that the âloveâ interests were a bellboy and a gay secret agent brontosaurus, I began reading with LOW expectations for storyline and HIGH expectations for laughs. Thatâs exactly what it delivered. Gaygent Brontosaurus: The Butt Is Not Enough is not intended to be great literature folks and if you canât tell that by the title, you likely need to shop for a sense of humor more than you need to shop for books. Keeping that in mind AND the fact that I got this book for free, I ignored the handful of errors (except when they made me laugh) and kept my focus primarily on whether or not the book made me laugh, because Iâm assuming that that was the authorâs intent after all. And he did, quite a bit in fact.

John, our bellboy, is more freaked out by the Russianâs hooked hand than he is when a brontosaurus gets on the elevator with him â mid-lift â and then talks to him. Itâs one of those moments when you stare at your Kindle with incredulity and ask the character out loud âThatâs the part of the situation that concerns you?â And as a plot unfolds that is so cheesy it would make a delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwich, the laugh factor continues to increase with each page â thankfully there were only about 20 of them because Iâm not sure how much more snorting my nose couldâve taken. Tingle has written what is probably one of the most hysterical sex scenes I have ever read and itâs only outdone by the sappy professions of love between John and Gaygent Brontosaurus within hours of their meeting. Despite the fact that I did indeed laugh repeatedly in the 20 to 30 minutes it took me to read Gaygent Brontosaurus: The Butt Is Not Enough, I can only give it 3 stars because in the end (no pun intended), I didnât love it. By no means is this a book I would have paid for because the cost to laugh ratio is a bit rich for my blood.
