Getting Hit by Jaxon

This story of a 40 something rock star Jaxon started out light and fun. When he reconnects with old girlfriend Natalie (smart & sassy), there are some humorous and sexy scenes.

Unfortunately, about half way into Getting Played, Jaxon HITS Natalie during sex...which is portrayed as normal behavior. WTF? In what sane world is hitting women erotic?

Jaxon was not written as a violent, cruel man; Natalie was presented as a successful, educated woman, not a stupid bimbo who would allow a man to degrade her.

Loving and responsible men NEVER hit people except in self defense. Normal, self confident women DO NOT ALLOW anyone to hit them under any circumstances.

It's disturbing that gifted authors like Lexxie Couper are promoting sexual violence as romantic and erotic. Audible should warn readers of this very subtle yet offensive and misogynist content.

The scariest part is how sexual violence is portrayed as NORMAL in a romantic relationship, as if men have the God given right to hurt women whenever they like.

Arrogant Contolling Asshole

This story could have been fun it not for Levi being such an arrogant controlling asshole to his current male lover Corbin and old girlfriend Sonya. Evidently Levi was brutally abused as a boy which he took as permission to control and demean his lovers. The idea of Levi becoming a father was scary; he would probably enjoy beating his kid too.

The relationship between Corbin was sweet and loving, while Levi treated both people he claimed to love with contempt, anger and cruelty. It was totally unbelievable that Corbin and Sonya would find his insensitive & insulting behavior to be romantic or erotic.

Corbin and Sonya kept wanting Levi to share his feelings and thoughts, not realizing that Levi was a sociopath who wasn't capable of love, empathy or tenderness. I tried to hang on until the end, hoping that Sonya and Corbin would dump him, but I gave up listening when the sex scenes were so cold and calculating it gave me the creeps.

This book will take you to dark places

WOW. Just wow. I seriously recommend you get strapped in for this ride, because it is fast-paced, explicit, and HARD TO PUT DOWN. I've downloaded too many crappy generic porno novels, so my bar was somewhat low. It feels like most authors just copy each other, but I genuinely could not put this one down!

Sexually Frustrated

Yes, steamy, erotic . . . sigh . . . but that was all it was and reading more stories the sex becomes predictable. The character is one-dimensional, all focusing on having sex. Yeh, you want to read on, getting hot, but you hit a wall at the dialogues. I find I have to read a sentence or two back to understand who's speaking and it breaks the arousal. One character speaking has 2 paragraphs.I know these are short stories but going a little deeper in emotions and giving a character his/her own paragraph makes reading easier. Ah-huh, sexually frustrated.

HOT, HOT, HOT

Hot and steamy, this is a fun story and will not disappoint you at all. If you are into taboo erotica (like I am) you will love this story. The book is easy to read, very descriptive, and will get your juices flowing for sure. I felt like I was in the room watching Derek and Anna as the flowed from position to position. Loved the story, it was so much fun.

The lovemaking scene was so I intense and hot that had me flushed! It is steamy with a sweetness to the romance that is unexpected. This is a great story that I recommend.

Hot Read!!!

âThe Naughty Office Girls, Book 1â is one of those hot short stories that's just right for when you are on break or at the dentist waiting. The writer sets the stage well with the main characters, and their ultimate goals in life and at the office. It's very graphic and sexy and Supple doesn't waste pages on boring details; she gets straight to the good stuff. And there is a lot of good stuff packed into this short story! This one will definitely leave you wet! Can't wait for Book 2 to come out.

So hot!

I was thoroughly turned on by this. The story was quick and got right to the good stuff, not wasting anything on fluff. Mandy, after botching an order with her company's largest client, decides to have sex with the client to save the contract. The writing is detailed and the sex is naughty, sloppy, and insanely hot. Great erotica that got me going quick. I definitely want to read book 2 and see what other situations Mandy or her other attractive co-workers can get into. Highly recommend!

I neeed more so I hope there's a book 2. 20 pages wasn't enough for these erotic stories around the office place. It was HOT. The best part was, as soon as things started to die down with one erotic escapade, another couple started doing their business just down the hall. What are they putting in the water cooler at this place. I wish I worked there.

Quick back story about Hal who is a adult toy maker, the details are spot on and will leave you very hot, and it's not boring.....PERIOD! Great short read that made you want to read more and more. a decent first attempt novel.

I listened to this book on an audio so I didn't notice any big grammatical errors that others mentioned in their reviews. The story wasn't bad and had/ has potential. I wasn't aware that it ended with a cliffhanger, so I wasn't too thrilled about that. The one thing about the audio though that bothered me the most was the narrator. This story is told in a dual pov perspective and it switches back and forth. At the beginning of chapters it says whose pov it is, however the narrator never changes his voice when he is portraying Natalie. In fact the book starts out in her pov and at first, I didn't even know the character was a girl until they said the character's name.

Something that isn't a first person narrative. Also highly awaiting the release of Eve Langlais's "Welcome To Hell" series that releases in 7 days. Just hoping the narration is good to match the writer and book.

Felt mechanicle and a bit stiff. Narrator has possibilities but can't rule out the story as a good book to narrate for.

Narration aside, this book was written with too much desciptive garbage that it bored me and set the tone before the first chapter was finished. The over load was so distracting, even the story contridicted it's charater. Summerizing, an example would be in how the female lead states that she can't think about the night her parents die except the story actually goes back to it and re-enacts the event. It's like stating a character is allergic to the sun but then spends over half a chapter either rembering the last time they spent outside or state a chapter later that they go for for a run daily, greating the happy commuters going to work with excitement and refreashment for the start of a new day. It's common flaw writters do when they state a character's smart with a Doctrit but everything they do is so stupid.

Audio editing needs work

It's hard to listen to a book when the same word or words are repeated multiple times due to bad editing. A good suspense novel with just the right amount of kink. Oh, and I love menages!

A Deep but great read!!

This book is so deep that I found I had to read it twice really delve deep into what I thought it was about. It is about learning to live and understand our prejudices and pre-conceived idea and beliefs about other races or even those of the same race but went differing directions. The story is about Roam and Jinx but also about the supporting characters that interact with them on intimate family levels. Both Roam and Jinx have deep seeded prejudices about who they believe did them wrong or created the mess they were in. I think as the story develops they both learn to look beyond their beliefs and realize that you can't group everyone within that race into the same as the ones who did them wrong. Although I loved both Roam and Jinx's characters, I also loved the supporting characters as well and without them, this story would not have been as good. The author deserves high praise with this book.

Enjoyable read with some new developments happening

Since readingZuri's Zargonnii Warrior [Unearthly World Book 2], I was looking forward to seeing if the Castian Roam would find his own human female to love, and I was excited to see his story here. He's a good guy, protective, sweet and ready to mate. And I liked him well enough in this romance, but he didn't quite flip my switch. He and Jinx are cute together, sweet and with a little steam going for them, but their romance didn't go beyond nice for me.

What I liked most in the story was seeing how Roam and Taz interacted, working against pre-conceived ideas about each race/species, and what this new brotherly dynamic means for the Castians and Tonans as a whole. That was interesting. Also, we see the Zargonnii again here, and I loved that part the best. Finn shows up, and that was so funny, Jinx's reaction to him. I kind of have the same reaction myself! I can't wait for his story. There are also new, intriguing developments concerning the evil Gargano.

Overall, it's an enjoyable read, fun, easy, just not totally consuming, but I did enjoy it. For me, it was worth reading to see this series connect up with the Unearthly World series, which is the one I'm most into.
