Loved it!!

This book touches on how even having what one appears as a disability, turns out to be something else and just as useful as anyone without the disability. Raiden and his warrior mate are searching for lost humans when they come across a group of females stranded on a planet their shuttle crashed on. Abri had lost her hearing when the shuttle crashed but was learning to live with it as she struggled to survive. Raiden and Abri find each other and find that maybe what he loses and she gains is really them both winning in the long run. I know it's kind of cryptic but I don't want to give too much away. I liked these characters and the author does a good job with their development and story plot. Even the supporting characters are pretty well developed as well.

I loved this book merely because it's part of the New World series!

But, this particular book shows you just how much a person can love by feelings alone!!! I would recommend this book and series for all of your fantasies of aliens who look like us, but have upgrades that makes you a better person and a more compassionate person!!! This author has one of the most unique and imaginative minds that I have come across and I strongly urge you to purchase this book and series!!!

Not letting deafness define her!

My Thoughts:

Abri is a strong female heroine. She didn't let deafness define who she is. Raiden is a likeable guy. Why? even though Abi is deaf Raiden picked her for his female.

C.L. Scholey has done a terrific job of creating this futuristic romance series. We have action, romance, adventure & mystery all in 102 pages.

What could this series use? This series could use a real bad boy Tonan falling for a sweet human female. My hope is C.L Scholey will continue writing this series but with longer books and a few Tonan's falling in love. I get excited when a bad boy falls in love.

Worth the read

Well, I thought this book was different and if what I have read is correct, it closed out the series very nicely. I did not care for book 4 and wondered if the series was and should end asap. I felt the author stayed true to original outline and honestly, how many big butterfly's, searches for females and fights with Tonan's can she write about.

Well written and good story.

Very well written book and I really liked how the H explained to the h why he was doing certain things. I enjoyed the story a lot since there was a sotry and not just punishments. I liked the use of the diary as part of the plot. While the H came across as harsh specially and the beginning the h also was a brat and spoiled lady. Really enjoyed it. If you want a well written, sweet and hot read this book is for you.

Love vs infatuation

Rose is a strong willed young woman who dreams of marrying her first true love, a distant relative named Oliver. When she is told she is betrothed to a man 20 years her senior, a man she has never even met, she refuses. However, learning that her marriage would keep her mother from the poorhouse, she submits but writes all her feelings and desires for Oliver down in her diary. Lord Richard teaches her from the moment they enter his bedchamber on their wedding night that she is to follow any and every order she is given. Rose learns he means what he says as he takes her across his lap and gives her a spanking before they even have consummated the marriage. She is given rules to live by and pays the consequences for misbehavior. Despite her determination to remain loyal in her heart to Oliver, she knows from the moment Richard claimed her that he has ignited feelings inside that she can't deny. When he is arrested and faces possible death for his religious beliefs, she discovers that she was only infatuated with Oliver and that her entire heart and soul belong to her Lord. The entire book is written as diary entries but is easy to follow. I wish it had been longer and not end so abruptly but it does make for a quick, entertaining read. If you like historical romance with spanking and a bit of age-play, you should like this one as well.

Wonderful story of finding love amidst discipline

This started out as a regular Victorian story. Young girl secretly in love with a young man, family who have betrothed her to an older man who she has never met, young girl doing her duty by marrying the older man. But, that is not the story! That is just the beginning. Rose has married Richard, but he wishes for both a wife and a little girl. On their wedding night, she is spanked for hesitating to do as instructed. The day after they are married, she is told her rules.

Disappointed

The story was ok but the narrator was horrible. I could barely keep listening. The main character is supposed to be a college aged girl, but the narrator sounds like a woman in her fifties. Not to mention the overly dramatic "sensual" voice she uses.

Woah There....

Why is it that most BWWM covers seem like two different photos of the protagonists thrown together haphazardly? Destiny Wilson sounds so much like Audrey Lusk, I am sure they are the same. There is nothing funny or even amusing about the narrator's reading. She sounds like some stuffy woman that tries to poorly enunciate the way she thinks Black People talk. The story was not that good either. It's under $3.00, but I urge you to keep it.

I purchased this book with my own money and have tried to write an honest review that will help others.

1. The narrator's voice is much to mature for the character Tameka. The "sexy, breathy drawl" was out of place in this story

2.Was there supposed to be a plot? There was an intro and then insta-attraction.

3. Paranormal romance still needs to make sense.

Good for Summer fun!

This was the kind of book you read/listen to while floating on your pool mat. In other words, easy listening, campy and predictable. But that's not so bad when you want a fun summer book. Or if you want to kick start your own steamy relationship! The sex was pretty hot. Lots of "p" and "c" words and very frequent encounters between two perfectly formed, completely monogamous, too good to be true people. He's a thief and she changes his world...and profession. I don't know if I hate them because I'm jealous (he's every woman's perfect guy) or because it was just too easy!

I'll still give it 5 stars because it was clean and dirty at the same time. I don't know what the previous reviewer needed tissues for. Was she crying because she was happy for the couple or because she was laughing her ass off! Probably a little of both.

Warning - Do not listen while at work

Don't make my mistake and listen to this story while working. Unless you work alone; then your safe. HAVE TISSUES; you're going to need them.

Love the Beat!!

5 Stars!!

Lexxie Couper you did it again! Smashing!! I love these guys you write theyâre all so dashing and so ALPHA. They know what they want right away. This book did not disappoint at all. Noah Holden is a swoon worthy Rock God for certain.

This book begins the story of Nick Blackthorne band mates. In this story you meet Noah Holden drummer for Blackthorne. The band is starting over with no Nick since he retired. Pepper Kerrigan is Noahâs love at first sight and princess.

I loved this book!! First, there was very little angst and Thank you for that!! I get too wound up with crazy angsty books and I really like to relax sometimes and just read a fairytale love story. This book is just that, Noah and Pepperâs fairytale. This bunch of âhardâ rockers is all just men looking for that special someone to settle down with. Who doesnât love a sexy Rocker? Second, you donât have to wait long for the story to get involved and as usual Lexxie can write some good lovinâ.

Pepper is full of self doubt and this did get on my nerves a few times but good writing can provoke emotions. The story flowed well. The ending was a bit abrupt but I am sure the story will continue in the next installment âLead Me Onâ (Samuelâs Story). Looking forward to this!

I would recommend this book as I would all of Lexxieâs books. They are all hot reads! I really love this series.

Didn't even make it 10 minutes in...

What disappointed you about First Time?

The narrator in this book was awful. The only reason I listened as long as I did was because I was driving and streaming from my phone and I couldn't play with my phone to turn it off. It was read with the dramatic pauses we've all come to expect from Christopher Walken. I will give the book a try in ebook format. Unfortunately, I had to give an "overall" and "story" rating in order to leave any comments, it's a flawed system if you can't make it through the story.

Has First Time turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, but I will never buy any books narrated by this person again.

Love Bryce and Kaelyn

In this story, Bryce picks up Kaelyn when she is stranded on the side of the road. They haven't seen each other since they were kids and Bryce ran from his father, Kaelyn is now running from her's and the Hot Rods crew are determined to help keep her save and give Bryce the girl of his dreams. Kaelyn fits in perfectly with the Hot Rods and has a rebellious streak of her own. The ending if very satisfying because Bryce and Kaelyn finally get their HEA.

Gregory Salinas gets better and better with every time making me love these books more listening to them then when I read them first (and that's hard to do because they're awesome!).

!!!OMG LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF!!!

This was the best story. Dumbass and Moron are such great words and so well used in this story!! This is Kobe and Zuri's story and you will not be able to put it down. This fast paced entertaining story will keep you enraptured the entire time.

Kobe rescues Zuri and 2 male humans on a planet they crash landed on. The beings on that planet wanted the humans off because they kept attracting bad guys, yep you got it, Tonans and Gorganons. After their rescue, Zuri tries to escape and ends up falling to the planet with Kobe. From there the entertainment really begins. Death, danger, and drama are inflicted upon the two as they make their way home. Then of course to top it all off kidnapping! poor Zuri ;(

C L Scholey created a great story here that is well worth a credit. It may be a short listen being only 5 hours, but the laughter you get is well worth it. Cassandra did a great job narrating it too.

An ok human-alien romance

This story of the gathering romance between Kobe, a male alien, and Zuri, a female earth person, takes place out of space after weather-related causes end most of the population on earth. Zuri and 2 male comrades are saved by Kobe and his people, since they are the remaining humans after others in their group are killed on the planet they landed on after escaping destroyed earth. Theres never an indication of date or time in history or the future. And planet names are not given, only names of different alien groups.

And, unfortunately, there is great monochromatic thinking in the author's perception of all things good vs all things bad in her very limited scope and imagination of the alien habitats and inhabitants. This was the worst aspect of the story. The second worst aspect was thatthough the story was good, generallysmall things didnt hold together. These detracted from the story.
