    Arctic Invasion: Vol. 1 (Dramatized)
The story itself seems "OK" but the production (Dramatization) is so poor that you lose the flow of the story. I'm not sure I will even bother with volumn II
when is vol. 2 comeing out
is a good story but i didn't know it did not end here but sometime ? who knows when? I hope soon.
    This was fun
I enjoyed listening to this story. The dramatization was excellent, the readers good, and the plot entertaining. I highly recommend it. When will Volume 2 be released?

    I loved Doctor Who--Robot!!
Doctor Who and the Giant Robot was an excellently written and well performed audiobook. If you like a good, classic Doctor Who story, this is the ONE for you! The narrator is a very good reader with a very calming voice that really lets you fall into the story. I was sad when it ended! I would definitely recomend this book to anyone that likes Doctor Who. Also, if you are curious about Doctor Who and what to know what it's like, this would be an excellent story to begin with. Again, this is a very classic story in true Tom Baker (The actor that played the Doctor as well as narrated this story) form.
    What a great retelling!!!!
what a great retelling telling of the 4th doctors first adventure red by the great Tom Baker. def you love Dr Who and you love the 4th Dr played by Tom Baker this is the first audio book you should hear.
Superb! Thanks for your great reading, Mr. Baker!
Just hearing Tom Baker's voice narrate the story made it come alive. And, what a pleasant surprise to hear the musical interludes and sound effects dabbled tastefully throughout! Well done! Thank you for the experience!

    Good story, perfectly performed
Although intended for younger audiences, this Sarah Jane adventure could be enjoyed by anyone who likes the world of Doctor Who. The tale moves briskly, and Ms. Sladen does a marvelous job at narration.

    Incessant pillow talk smothers story
Interesting story marred by incessant pillow talk and glib reporters. When it's the end of the world from an alien invasion you would think that people would act differently.
    Old Time Sci Fi
I did not like it very much. It was stylized like an old radio show, but it just did not translate well that way. And it developed slow.
    Kraken Wakes Appalling Dramatisation
What a disappointment. Hopefully the writer of this dreadful dramatisation went on to a different career. The story is almost unrecognizable. Wyndham must be turning in his grave.

    Wasn't sure ... but wow!
I wasn't sure what to expect with a 'dramatised' version of one of my favourite books by one of my favourite authors. Sure it was the BBC but...
I sure didn't want something that detracted from what I had already imagined. I usually buy unabridged and undramatised versions.
All I can conclude is wow.
Well done to the cast, writers, sound engineers and producers/directors. Thank you for sticking to the story, themes and atmosphere of the original.
I have added the rest of the set to my wishlist.

More a walk than a run
Perhaps it's my copy but the sound was warbled on this audiobook, which is disappointing. The idea of the story was interesting but there's not as much action or danger as other stories in the range such as Sting of the Zygons or Nightmare of Black Island.
    Below average story
Wrong performer for a Dr Who. She was very level and the humor was washed out.
    Story was below average.
Good narration! But the writing: zzzz.
Would you try another book from Martin Day and/or Adjoa Andoh?
This was my first Dr Who novel. It will be my last. I know the Dr has millions of adoring fans - I guess I am just missing something. On the other hand, good narration. In fact, I bought this Dr Who because Adjoa Andoh is the narrator. But even her great reading couldn't save this dull fluff.
What was most disappointing about Martin Days story?
I read a lot of science fiction, and I expect at least a little, well, science in it. Or at least a reasonable attempt to fake it. This doesn't have that, so either this was just a weak outing for the Dr., or I shouldn't have expected it from Dr. Who . As I said, this was my first Dr. Who.

    Freema Agyeman, not Adjoa Andoh
Someday I'll get a book actually narrated by Adjoa Andoh. Although I do enjoy listening to Freema Agyeman, so it wasn't a big turn-off for me. What is a turn-off is that this story flips back and forth between third-person narration and first-person, with Martha telling the story. It's really hard to tell where they switch back and it just gets annoying.
Granted, I have about half an hour left, but I'm sort of indifferent as to the ending. It felt like it could've ended (really lamely) about 15 minutes ago with an "and then the Doctor came and reversed it and it's no big deal and everybody lives happily ever after." I've read several other Doctor/Martha stories, and this one is one of my least favorite. Not a complete waste of time, but there are better ones out there.
    An enjoyable adventure
While some readers and listeners of Jacqueline Raynor's earlier Doctor Who novels may have not been looking forward to her third entry in the new series (the second available on audio), I found The Last Dodo to exceed my expectations.
The novel is told in first- and third-person, and as the character used for the first-person viewpoints is played by the actress doing the reading, this goes beyond a mere reading and into a very enjoyable performance.
Ms. Rayner's didactic tendencies continue to show in this book, but by finally using a futuristic setting, instead of the past or the present, we're treated to some interesting worldbuilding in the process too.
The Last Dodo is not only an enjoyable adventure on its own, but it utilizes the audiobook medium in a way not seen in most Doctor Who books, thanks to the first-person passages. I recommend it.
    Adventurous romp
Freema, who plays Martha on the show, reads this story beautifully. The story itself is fun and never gets boring, with lots of time given to both The Doctor and Martha. At times Martha speaks direct to the reader and those are particularly nice and unusual - insights into her thoughts.
Excessive social commentary and a little Dr Who
For two hours the social commentary was very excessive.
The story was weak and the ending was... Truly lame.
    Switched POV too much
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I didn't like how this jumped back and forth between Martha's first person view and Martha's third person view. It was confusing and distracting.

Dragged into a centuries-old conflict, Rose and the Doctor are soon elevating survival to an art form ¿ as ancient, alien hands practice arts of destruction all around them.
Featured are the Doctor and Rose as played by David Tennant and Billie Piper in the hit series from BBC Television.
    Members Reviews:
    Hard Listen
I Love Doctor Who. I especially love the Doctor and Rose together but this audiobook was so hard to listen to. It was entirely due to the reader. He lacked entirely the enthusiasm the Doctor always has in his voice. He would have been more suited for something depressing.
Everything a 10th Doctor fan is looking for
Have you listened to any of Don Warringtons other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've never listened to his other performances, but he did an excellent job portraying the Doctor's and Rose's mannerisms. I always prefer David Tennant's narration for the 10th Doctor, of course, but Don Warrington is probably my new second favorite.
    Any additional comments?
Excellent mystery, a variety of aliens, Rose and the Doctor with their playful banter and dedication to each other -- pretty much everything a 10th Doctor fan wants. ;) Stephen Cole perfectly captures the Doctor - his way of speaking and thinking - and Don Warrington brings him to life. Highly recommend this one :)
    Best book ever!!!
I always love doctor who books but this one was better than most. thank you Stephen Cole and Don Warrington.
    Not a good narrator
Would you try another book written by Stephen Cole or narrated by Don Warrington?
I like the works of Stephen Cole in general, but I would not willingly listen to another work narrated by Don Warrington.
Would you recommend Doctor Who to your friends? Why or why not?
I love the Doctor Who stories, they are fun, exciting and usually a great listen. This one story might be good, but it should be redone by another narrator. Tennant would be great!
How could the performance have been better?
The voice of the narrator is screeching, annoying, and lacking the characteristic life of the Doctor and Rose. It's just annoying to listen to, and I would rather read the book than listen to this.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Doctor Who?
I couldn't really pay much attention to the story, as I just wanted it to finish.
    Any additional comments?
Judging by the other works of Stephen Cole, this is probably a good story on the whole, but it doesn't shine through the poor narrating. Not all the actors of Doctor Who are great narrators, and it's unfortunate that this wasn't picked up before the whole story was narrated and the cd produced.
