Which is more dangerous: Taking on corrupt spies...or meeting your boyfriends mom?
Having a permanent base in Manhattan has its pros and cons for seventeen-year-old safecracker Maggie Silver. On hiatus from her usual international spy missions, Maggie gets to spend more quality time with her former markturned-boyfriend, Jesse Oliver, and insanely cool best friend, Roux, which makes having to attend SAT prep class almost bearable.
But when Maggies parents are falsely accused of stealing precious gold coins, Maggie must use her safecracking skills to try and clear their names. Too bad her efforts only put her, and everyone she loves, in danger. The group flees to Paris, where they have to form a new teamand find a way to prove their innocence and reveal the guilty.
This thrilling sequel to Robin Benways Also Known As proves that going rogue doesnt mean going it alone.

Maggie and Roux are fantastic yet again. So Much FUN!!!
The first book in this series was better and a little more fun than this book but I still really enjoyed being in a Young Adult book again with actual Young Adults and not characters that do things that 30 year old characters would do.
First this book has actual parents in it. I KNOW!!! A young adult book where the parents arenât mysteriously absent the entire book or the MC is lying to them constantly, thank you. Maggie is a Spy her parents are spies and that does lead to some issues but she treats them like parents and they are a huge part of her life.
Second she has friendships and a boyfriend that seem age appropriate as well. These are the characters I enjoy in the book the most because they talk about things I think kids this age would talk about and usually it is light and fun and even when it gets a bit romantic it isnât over the top âI will love you until the end of timeâ. There are some very sweet and adorable moments between Jesse and Maggie and I loved them all but I also didnât feel smothered by them. (I know this is a super long passage but it was adorable and I didnât even put all of it in there)
âYou seriously donât know why I stick around?â he asked, almost incredulous. âAre you being serious right now?â
I nodded. I hated being vulnerable in front of him, asking him the questions whose answers scared me more than Dominic or any of his cohorts. â
Okay,â Jesse said, settling back next to me and putting his arm around my shoulders. âLetâs start with the Aâs!â
âYou arenât seriously going toââ
âAmbitious!â he said. âBeautiful. Caring. Determined. Eager to learn.â
âThatâs cheating,â I said, but I couldnât hide my smile.
âShh, Iâm trying to romance you on a rooftop in Paris. Be quiet. Where was I? Oh, yes. Fearless. Generous. Happy.â
âIâm not happy all the time!â
âYou have a happy spirit. Work with me, Mags, okay? This isnât easy. Ignominious!â
âI donât think thatâs a compliment.â
âJolly!â
âDid you just compare me to Santa Claus?â
âHeâs beloved by millions. You should be so lucky.â
Maggieâs friendship with the ever excited and overtly boisterous Roux is so much fun.
