I want to move to that town.

Each book gets better than the last. I love all the people. I wish I could find a place where I felt as accepted as these stories tell about. I laughed so hard I cried.

Recommended

Excellent story. I loved how Ms Brooks brought awareness to the growing problem of human trafficking, child and young women being trapped into being sex slaves. It is something we all need to be aware of and step forward to prevent and help eliminate.

Great story with a strong female heroine!

I love all of Kathleen Brooks' stories! However, I find this to be one of her best. She is able to cover the difficult and scary topic of sex trafficing in a way that brings awarness to the readers while giving strength to those who may have been affected. Syndey is a strong female heroine who is able to fight to defemd herself. I love a story where the woman doesn't have to be we saved by a man and still gets her happily ever after. This is a great story and very well written!

Excellent!

Ms. Brooks has written another great book which joins the other great Bluegrass books. What I especially loved about this book was the female ancestors (starting in the 1700's) making sure their female heirs would be self sufficient so they wouldn't be forced into marriage. This is conveyed through letters found. Of course there is the tight knit town and famlies, the suspense and comic relief which grace all of the Bluegrass series. I listened to this one in one day!

Very captivating!

This book was different, captivating, entertaining and had me walking the dogs longer so that I didn't have to stop listening! The story has it all.. hidden treasure, beautiful women, handsome men, mystery, crime, humor, romance and love. Sydney and Deacon were memorable characters and both very easy to relate to. The story shot off in different directions, but Miss Brooks tied everything together nicely. The narration by Eric G. Dove was excellent.

Mayberry Romance...lol.

Ok you ever see those small town shows where everyone knows everyone and there is a cast of quirky characters? yeah that's this book. I was hella entertained. I was utterly disappointed that the very first sex scene between the characters was behind closed doors. it totally went fade to black and they woke up the next morning. I was seriously like WTF!!!. The other sex scenes were glossed over as if the author wasn't comfortable writing them. If you don't like or aren't good at writing sex scenes DON'T TRY TO DO IT!! I would have preferred them not be in there than have them done poorly.

On a better note, if i could live in this town i totally would....lol.

Story. 2.5 (not a solid 3 because of the piss poor sex scenes)

Recommended

Thoroughly enjoyable story. It is good to catch up with the whole gang. The children are mostly grown and it is time for them to start settling down. This is a great start.

This story can stand on its own however is greatly enhanced when reading as part of the Bluegrass series.

Fabulous

I love the next generation of "Forever" books!! I love the whole story and so glad to be reading the next generation.

Yeah another great series!

As always Kathleen has written another wonderful book. I can't wait to get started on the next in this series. I am having a Kathleen Brooks vacation

Silly

This story was too silly, the overall storyline was sound but the involvement of the family and town people was unrealistic. I enjoyed a couple of her other books but I will not be reading others.

Publisher's Summary:

Nothing has ever come easy for Lila Bailey. She's fought for every good thing in her life during every day of her 31 years. Aside from that one night with an impossible-to-deny stranger a year ago, Lila is the epitome of responsible. Steadfast. Strong. She's pulled herself out of the train wreck of her childhood, proud to be a professor at Tulane University and laying down roots in a city she's grown to love.

But when some of her female students are viciously murdered, Lila's shaken to the core and unsure of whom she can trust in New Orleans. When the police detective assigned to the murder case comes to investigate, she's even more surprised to find herself staring into the eyes of the man who made her toes curl last year.

In an attempt to move on from the tragic loss of his wife, Asher Smith moved his daughter and himself to a new city, ready for a fresh start. A damn fine police lieutenant but new to the New Orleans force, Asher has a lot to prove to his colleagues and himself. With a murderer terrorizing the Tulane University campus, Asher finds himself toe to toe with the one woman who haunts his dreams. His hands, his lips, his body know her as intimately as he's ever known anyone. As he learns her mind and heart as well, Asher wants nothing more than to keep her safe, in his bed, and in his and his daughter's lives for the long haul. But when Lila becomes the target, can Asher save her in time, or will he lose another woman he loves?

Members Reviews:

YES IT'S SHORT... BUT KP PACKED SO MUCH INTO IT

College Professor Lila accidentally fell into the handsome and charming Asher's lap while on a plane to New Orleans - instant chemistry, instant attraction but apologies and goodbyes were said. Fate then had them drinking in the same Bar and they eagerly and quickly picked up where they'd left off..... and took it to the next level by sharing one hot night together. But no surnames or numbers were exchanged.... which they both later sadly regretted.

Then, six months later Asher came walking back into her life but on a professional basis because he was a Police Lieutenant following up on the grizzly murders of three of her female Students. Asher knew the Killer had left notes suggesting that he was about to target Lila and his protective instincts took over.... well that an the sexual chemistry that was so obviously bubbling between them. Asher took Lila under his wing, introduced her to his sweet 10 yr old daughter, shared histories, had more sex and they quickly became a little family unit. But then the Killer struck again and it was even more gruesome than before and this time he left a chilling note that he was coming for Lila next.

This was a very sweet, touching and friendly romance, there was drama and suspense as to who the sick Killer was and if he would be able to get to Lila, there was passion and sex and a handful of secondary characters. Dual POV's, good narration and, although part of a series, it's easily a standalone.

Worth a credit? No but only because it's just 2.47 hrs long and cost a mere $3.95. I usually don't like short listens because you don't get the depth and detail to a story or they feel rushed. But, as it's one of Kristen Proby's books, I knew I was going to enjoy it whatever the length - and I wasn't wrong because she delivered on so many levels....

enthralled from the first chapter!

so damn good, great story, action, mystery and brooding hot men! I'm so glad Jim was the narrator, he makes everything excellent

Awesome

Wonderful start to a new series. I never got bored, lots of character development, romance, and action. Can't wait for the next book.

Really enjoyable

THis was a good start to the series. I liked that the guys were all just getting started and getting their ducks in a row. I liked that they weren't tossing money around like millionaires. I liked that this was a small town with a big crime. I liked the way Rafe drew Annie out of her shell. I liked how while she was shy she didn't let him walk all over her.

I wish the psychic connection was used better. I wish the romance didn't get turned on like a switch. ONe moment he thinks she's pretty and the next he's kissing her and telling her how much he wanted to be inside her. The romance left something to be desired.

I am looking forward to the next book.

STory - 3

narrator - 4 I love Jim Frangione!!

Mostly action, not romance

If you enjoy a story of action and, "who done it," you will enjoy this book. If you prefer a romance with a side of action, this will be a disappointment. There is an instant romance, one good sex scene and an epilogue describing their future but, it definitely is not the focus.

The narration is as awesome as Jim always is and if you like a James Patterson type of novel, you'll not be disappointed.

-V from Kansas

Mercy

This was a great story, lots of unexpected twists and turns. My only complaint is the narrator didn't do character voices, Annie sounded the same as all the guys on the Ares team. The sheriff is the only one who sounded at all different, imo. Still, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Teagan's story looks like it should be a wild ride!

Dark, Dangerous And Freakin` Hot!!

"G-Spot? No Way! This boy hit the entire alphabet!" ~ Christa

Wow! What a great story! Between the dirty talk, steamy sex scenes, and awesome narration, Outlaw's Obsession is worthy to be considered a "panty melting" good listen! I loved it!

Rapid's one sexy alpha biker who sees past Christa's scares to the beautiful women beneath them. Since Christa's attack, he couldn't get her out of his mind, and checked in with her frequently. From the way she was acting, he had a feeling there was something else going on with Christa, but he couldn't get her to open up to him. Christa found herself in a tough place, with no way out, but was too afraid to let Rapid or anyone else in. After all that she had been through, she just didn't want to be indebted to anyone else. However, after a scary encounter with another biker, she knew she was in way over her head, and finally took that first step in getting help. Rapid, being the alpha biker he was, he totally took over the situation!

The dual narration by Mason Lloyd and Tatiana Sokolov was outstanding!

Outlaw's Obsession was fast paced, full of MC drama, great character development, and lot's of sex, making it a fantastic listen! I definitely recommend this story to any MC romance fan; however, there are a few cautions: lots of sex, language and violence.

For those who have a Kindle Unlimited membership, this is currently offered! A great KU and Whispersync deal ~ Who doesn't love getting a great story at a great price!

Great story line!

The narration was was great and the story was diverting. I enjoyed the characters and the continued story line each book provides.

So good without too much gory violence..but OH SO HOT!!!

This is the second book in the Grizzly Series with Christa who was tutoring the little sister from the first book, she's also had her face cut up by the Club pres they were outing. Rabid is one randy but loyal man who rescued and took care of her at the end of book one. This starts right after that, Rabid takes responsibility for keeping tabs on Christa. He's also trying to get her to trust and want to be with him. We find out that she is no stranger to MC Gangs and owes money to another chapter of the Grizzlies in Organ and a man keeps threatening her and her father. She's left with no choice but to trust and give into her feelings for Rabid when the collection guy leaves her broke, hurt, and with two flat tires on the side of the road. Rabid saves her and they start their steamy relationship where she becomes his old lady.

Members Reviews:

COMPELLING, GRIPPING, INTENSE & VERY VERY HOT

The story picks up where Beta left off.... with Kyrie, Roth, Harris (the Bodyguard) and Layla (the best friend) sailing around the world on the super-yacht Eliza and they're desperately trying to outsmart the ruthless Crime Lord Vitaly in his quest for savage retribution. I was happy I got to hear more about Kyrie and Roth and their eventually HEA which this book clearly delivered however this is primarily about Harris and Layla because Layla ends up being collateral damage in Vitaly's deadly game of revenge.

Jasinda Wilder packs so much drama and nail-biting action into this listen which starts off at the end of the world... quite literally with a very frustrated Layla who's going stir crazy after 8 weeks on board ship and she's going to get cabin fever if she doesn't get off soon and.... erm 'interact' with others. But be careful what you wish for girl because Layla's life suddenly takes a terror filled and frightening turn when Vitaly's thugs catch up with them and she becomes a frightened pawn as she's manhandled, fondled and threatened back to an eagerly waiting Vitaly. And the only man that can save her is Harris but the chances of that are slim because just they don't get on, disagree at every turn and throw vicious looks at each other..... but still she prays over and over again "Harris is coming, Harris is coming".

Apart from the gripping action and chilling suspense Jasinda has created a strong, sassy and fiercely independent heroine in Layla who's got a wicked sense of humor and a determined streak that she'll need to enable her to fight for her life when the time comes with the help of her close friend Mr. Papermate who she's become intimately acquainted with!!! And Harris is a super-sexy, super-hot and super-Alpha hero who is more than capable of single-handedly rescuing his damsel in distress.... even though she's no meek and mild timid virgin. Thrills, chills, intense drama, exhilarating car chases, speeding bullets, kidnapping, danger, thugs with machine guns, witty banter, humor, passion, a push/pull romance and lots and lots of hot sex because this woman knows how to write about broody sexy men with insaciable libido's, hungry sexual appetites and the stamina to back it up!!

Worth a credit? This story is really in two parts so there's four POV's, it's an exciting third part and the conclusion of a trilogy, great narration, awesome characters, insanely hot with maybe a little too many sex scenes (never thought I'd say it) and a storyline that'll leave you breathless. Jasinda has delivered yet another amazing book which was definitely creditworthy.

Great Finale

What made the experience of listening to Omega the most enjoyable?

I just love Layla's character.

Excelllent cop novella; great narration

This novella is the second in the Rogue Winter series by Kendra Elliot. The setting is in rural Oregon like most of Ms. Elliot's novels. It is a worthwhile listen with outstanding narration by Kate Rudd.

Book review

This was a bit slower then the first one but still a good read. I enjoyed it

great

I loved this whole series. made you love an care about the Taylor family an the ones they loved. I would recommend these books in a heartbeat

easy to follow

Easy to follow along as you listen. Some really good books don't make good audiobooks. This one works.

Dead in her Tracks

I enjoyed the book. fast paced with a surprising end. It would be cool if Jake got his own story. Overcoming a drug addiction is not for the feint hearted.

Members Reviews:

Wow! What A Fantastic Book

I have listened to books #1 through #9 in the Fatal series all of them are really good. I couldn't put them down once I was swept into the world of Nick, Sam and their family and friends.

There are a lot of emotional ups and downs in Fatal Frenzy (and the other books as well), and Ms. Force made me feel them all. Her character development is amazing. I loved getting to know not only the main characters but also the people around them.

There's Gonzo (a detective who works with Sam) and Christina (Nick's former chief of staff), Freddie (another detective) and Elin, Skip and Celia (Sam's parents), and especially Scotty their adopted son. I could go on to name all the other characters I love but I won't. You'll have to listen to this series so you can be introduced to them yourself. (Be sure to listen to this series in order. Don't forget One Night With You, which tells how Sam and Nick met.) As always, Sam's family (and extended family) anchor her as she deals first with the aftermath of her kidnapping (in prior book) and then with the loss of one of her detectives. It's that good. Ms. Force's dialogue is fantastic. The banter between characters is so well written that it drew me in.

I love discovering new authors and Marie Force has quickly become a favorite of mine. I haven't read any of her other contemporary novels, but will certainly be giving them a try.

Eva Kaminsky is one of my favourite authors and she was outstanding with the delivery of this story

Another winner

I couldn't put this book down. I enjoy this series. This book, however, was the first one to bring me to tears.

The secondary characters are so important to this series. I just adore Scotty.

Why didn't Sam's sisters or Shelby attend the ball? They certainly would have been able to.

I am tired of the author switching between narrators.

I am tired of the narrator changing in this series. Avery Hill has lost his accent from the beginning of this series. Which returns in book ten. Not this current book 9. Sam Scotty and tinkerbell's voices sound off in book 10.

I have enjoyed the series so far, and don't want it to end in the 11th book. I would love to see Sam get pregnant. Great character development in this series.

Amazing book

This is the best book yet in this series. I shed many tears.
