    Good series
This is much better than the CHERUB series. Don't get me wrong the CHERUB books are good, although the language is bad sometimes. Hendersons Boys are fast paced, historic and factual. You can learn much about history, I now really enjoy reading books about WW2 and what teenagers did, the book Edelweiss Pirates Operation Einstein is another great book.
if you are going to read the Hendersons Boys, books start off with book one. As usual for Robert Muchamore, and just like Anthony Horowitz, Charles Dickens, J.K Rowling the hero is an orphan, get past that and the story is great.
    Cherub
This is a great book and I really enjoyed it. It has a lot of action and plenty of adventure.

    loved it so much
loved it so much, i even went and got it signed at yallwest when i met the author. Im definately buying the rest of the series
    Great book!!!
I love the main characters and their unique differences compared to other people in this great series all leading up to The Secret! Everything was great and nicely suspenseful except the ending. Why PB did you not tell us about the later paths of life the children took in the future in the epilogue?!?!?!?! I wish there was another book in the series but come to think of it if there was another book about these intriguing characters this serie would just not make sense.
Anyway it's is a good book for people who don't mind some scary scenes or genres and for very adventurous people. :)
    Pseudonymous Strikes Again
When I first started to read the first book in the series, I couldn't stop. This book is full of surprise and a fun filled book with a tendency to want me to keep my nose stuck in the book as long as I can. I would recommend this book to all of you people out there who have read the first book and who have a good taste in a fictional book that is fun to read.

Happy ever after isn't enough for Violet. She wants to be the fairest of them all, and Celine is in the way...but not for long.
Forced to take refuge with her friend, Goose, and his family, Celine gives up everything she loves and goes deep undercover. But will it be enough to fool Violet, or will Celine's fate be decided by a reflection in a magic mirror? And where do you find Prince Charming in Miami, anyway?

It was pretty good, just not a book that I would listen to over and over again
I really loved this amazing book the first Rome I read it, but I could not read it again. The story is fine, but I think that the introduction to Violer, at the beginning, was way to long, and I LOVE goose, but didn't really like the part of the story on his POV. Still loved the story though.

    Amazing
The storyline and narrator were amazing, but the pauses between sentences were a bit long. Otherwise my new favorite book!
    An undersea adventure
Again I felt in action and felt the romance and thrill of this book!! I hope fathom is ok!!!
    Awesome
Story held me in suspense and I could not stop listening until it was done. Awesome story.
    Great start to this trilogy
What made the experience of listening to Undertow the most enjoyable?
The narrator really brought the different characters to life. I liked hearing about the differences in cultures and I could really feel that the characters were teenagers.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Undertow?
The description of the "red shirts" and their stand against the Alpha. The fear that they bring with their red shirts and the destruction they cause in families and the community.
What about Jennifer Graces performance did you like?
Her ability to suck me into the story.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Not Your Average Fish Story...actually I have no idea.
I loved Undertow by Michael Buckley.
I loved Undertow by Michael Buckley. Parts of this book reminded me a lot of the tv show that played on CW Starcrossed. Instead of Aliens, we are faced with some sort of fish creatures called the Alpha. Everything has changed in Coney Island.
Lyric Walker is a 16-year-old girl who used to be a wild child. She used to get herself into all kind of trouble but for the last several years she has just been lying low. She shows up to school when she is supposed too and she keeps her head down low. The last thing Lyric walker wants to do is cause any trouble.
Now it is the first day of school that everyone has been waiting for. There are protesters lining the streets because today is the day that six Alpha will join the school with the human kids. No one likes this idea, but the government is wanting to try to see what happens. Lyric goes to school like she is supposed too and well a fight breaks out in one of her classes. Instead of letting the students keep on fighting each other Lyric steps in to try to stop the fight, resulting in everyone getting into trouble.
Then the principal, Doyle, tells Lyric that she is going to help him with a special project or he will put her in lock up. Come to find out this special project is for her to meet with Fathom, the prince of the Alpha, every day to help him learn the ways of humans. Of course Lyric objected but she ended up having to do it anyway. Lyric starts teaching Fathom an even though she is reluctant about it she starts to enjoy their little visits. Everything in Coney Island is about to change and humans arent ready for it.
I really liked Lyric Walkers character. Lyric used to be this extremely selfish girl and now she is obeying her parents and lying low to protect her family. She also knows when to stick up for others because it isnt fair for them to be treated badly. A lot of people call Lyric names and she still holds her head high.

Loved the books. Needs a new narrator.
The narrator made this a tough read. Love the books but the narrator's inflections and accents are pretty terrible, the worse being the valley girl accent. I love this series but cannot go on if they don't change to a more seasoned narrator.
    Portal
Portal is a very good book. However, it was difficult for me to listen to the woman reading it. I just didn't care for her voice. That did not take away from the book itself tho and I did enjoy the book.
    Fantastic
Would you listen to Portal: Portal Chronicles, Book 1 again? Why?
Yes, I loved the narration and the story line.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Portal: Portal Chronicles, Book 1?
    The story line.
    Which scene was your favorite?
When Arizona discovers that she is a blonde.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh in numerous scenes.
    Any additional comments?
Great book and wonderful narration. I can't wait for the next in the series.

    A great trilogy
The trilogy is a worthy successor to Klavan's previous young people's fiction - the plot lines and characters develop and grow, surprises lurk around every corner, and though this is a cliche the books really are page turners; from the young disillusioned mind's first entry into an ugly mind, to the somewhat Potter-esque finish, a very fine work. I hope to see more from Klavan and to see these fine works rendered in visual media.
The Realm and Real Life are about to enter another level of excitement and danger!
    Hostage Run
    The Mindwar Trilogy 2
    By Andrew Klavan
Rick Dial's first foray into the MindWar Realm was a victory against Kurador. But the war is not over and he is determined to somehow, someway get Mariel and Favian out of the Realm and back to Real Life (RL).
But Kurador is determined to keep Rick from entering the Realm ever again. And he'll do anything to convince Rick to stay out. And his plan of attack - kidnap Molly Jameson.
What's a guy to do when a massive attack is about to happen and his best friend is being used as leverage against him? This is a choice that Rick now faces. He alone can stop Kurador. And he is the only chance Mariel and Favian have of surviving the Realm. But Molly may lose her life if he so much as breathes in the direction of the Realm.
Hostage Run is an exciting sequel to MindWar. The Dial family is together in the secured compound they now called home, reunited after being torn apart by a lie, a lie that did not protect them. Rick is suffering from his forays into the Realm. And he is keeping these side-effects secret so that he won't be prevented from entering the Realm and rescuing his friends.
In Hostage Run the lines between the Realm and Real Life are about to become even more blurred as Kurador takes his war to a new level. And this new level is about to make the Realm even more dangerous than it was before.
Are you ready to enter a world that is about to change everything you thought you knew?
    Another Level
Klavan's second book in the Mindwar trilogy is even better than the first! Surprisingly to me, however, was that I enjoyed Molly's story more than Rick's.

You don't mess with Atlanta Burns.
Everyone knows that. And that's kinda how she likes it - until the day Atlanta is drawn into a battle against two groups of bullies and saves a pair of new, unexpected friends. Prose Comic Book for Adults Only
Atlanta Burns is a high school girl, new in town, and no matter how much she wants to lay low, she can't help but come to the aid of her bullied classmates. With a history of using a shotgun to deal with her problems, she takes on the entire power structure of her rural Pennsylvania town, dealing with a number of nasty problems along the way.
Chuck Wendig has written a crackling book here -- a comic book. But he has written it in the form of a novel. Trying to wrap one's head around this story from a realistic point of view is just not possible. This is an over the top teen wish fulfillment fantasy, laudable in being from a girl's point of view, taking down powerful men whose stock in trade is abuse.
Amazon published Atlanta Burns as a Young Adult novel, but has a bold face warning on its listing that this is meant for mature audiences due to language and violence. This is NOT YA. I would not let my teenage daughter read this. The language and violence is the least of it. The subject matter is potentially disturbing for kids -- extreme bullying, teen suicide, gay bashing, animal abuse, sexual abuse, pedophilia, white supremacy, parental neglect, corrupt cops, etc.
Not that kids need to be sheltered from these issues, but the treatment here is not realistic, it's comic book exaggeration. Adults who are into this genre, read it and enjoy it as I did. But don't give it to your kids expecting them to learn valuable life lessons.
Good teen novel or disgusting garbage? Guess!
It's disgusting garbage with 11 to 13 year olds being the target audience. I'm amazed that Chuck Wendig can make a living writing because he is really awful at it. I did not finish this book.
    Too real at times
I realized that the author is trying to shine a true light on bullying and it's impact on teens and Americans but, the story hits too close to home and I found myself emotional thrown back to my youth.
