    Publisher's Summary:
Anna Fortune is a government intelligence analyst who longs for tropical sunsets, early morning beach walks, and a man bold enough to steal her heart. Sonny Cay is a large, lumbering toilet paper salesman with a terminal disease, unpaid medical bills and the haunting memory of a girl he lost years ago. She knows the location of terrorist cells, corrupt politicians and that no man can be trusted to keep his word, wedding date or promise to love forever. He knows life is for the taking, love for the making and both end all too soon.
So when Anna is ordered to protect a presidential candidate polling in the single digits on a fund-raising junket in the Bahamas, both get a second chance at true love. He came because he loved her, because all those years ago, she'd stirred him the way no woman ever had. She was his Mt. Everest, the pinnacle of his small world. His head told him to run; his heart made him stay. Now only the gale force winds of a "Bahama Breeze" can cool the white-hot embers of old flames erupting.
Guaranteed to put a smile on your face and twang the strings of your heart. If you enjoy the Bahamas and sailing the Windex waters of the Abacos and Exumas, you'll love Bahama Breeze.
    Critic Reviews:
"I can't remember the last time I laughed out loud while reading a book but I did with Bahama Breeze." (Ann Tatlock, Christy award-winning author of Promises to Keep)
"I love Eddie's humorous tone. I would SOOO read any thing he writes." (Michelle Medlock Adams, award-winning journalist and author of 39 books)
"Eddie's writing is both vivid and hilarious." (Dennis E. Hensley, author of 49 books and over 3,000 articles)
    Members Reviews:
    Hilarious romantic comedy
This romantic comedy is witty and, at times, had me laughing out loud. The "romantic" location--appropriately named "Cockroach Cay"--is the less-than-stellar setting that a love-struck high-schooler who is now an adult has determined to be the reunion spot to meet up with the love who he never forgot from twenty years ago. But she is now a less-than-enthusiastic intelligence agent forced into one last spy job when all she wants to do is retire. And she is clueless about this "Romeo's" plan in the wind driven "Bahama Breeze." Hilarious and fun, I can picture Kevin James in the lead as "Sonny."
If you are looking for a good YA novel set in the American Revolution with a spiritual influence I suggestFields of the Fatherless
    Kept me Laughing
I enjoyed reading Bahama Breeze immensely! Its refreshingly off-beat, but funny dialogue kept me smiling all the way through the book. And just when I thought I had figured out what direction the next chapter would take, everything changed. I would love to see a sequel to Sonny and Anna's haphazard love story. Kudos to Eddie Jones and Christian Devotions!
    Dry Humor and Fun
Eddie Jones' Bahama Breeze mixes a wonderful sense of dry humor with fun and action. I found myself laughing out loud and re-reading parts to let it all sink in. I loved the characters, Sonny and Anna, and enjoyed many of the minor characters also. I would recommend this entertaining read...
Surprises at each turn of the page--love your style of writing
Eddie, I couldn't put the book down. Absolutely loved your work and the hints of humor throughout are genious. The characters are vividly written.

    Title: The Whoopie Pie Affair

    Narrator: Big Daddy Abel
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 1 hr and 13 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 02-25-13
    Publisher: Helping Hands Press
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 3 votes
    Genres: Fiction, Humor
    Publisher's Summary:
Warning: Before you even consider listening to this, understand that this is a story about a guy that is large, feels he is in charge, and is ready to kick some butt. In truth, he is essentially deaf, almost blind, socially handicapped, and has little sense of smell to boot. Add to that his basic disregard for proper attire and you have one humorous, heartfelt, and, at times, moving story. Okay maybe not that heartfelt or moving, but it may all depend on how you look at things. If you can get past the loud Hawaiian shirts, shorts, and glaring white knee socks and sandals, then you can get to the meat and potatoes of what is coming at you.
It is a diverse and respectful viewpoint of life, both in and out of the Amish community, and how the Plain Folk and English view each other.
In the first volume, The Whoopie Affair, listeners will meet G, the erstwhile suburban hit man, and Eli, the Amish blacksmith.
Two totally different men. Two totally different families. Two entirely separate worlds.
    One destiny.
What happens when this unlikely dynamic duo go about solving the mystery of the missing whoopie pies? Plenty of mirth, merriment, malevolence, and muck, but above all, good clean family fun. This is a story that can be listened to by anyone of any age, from 9 to 99. So saddle up, get in the SUV or horse and buggy, put on your wrap around shades, tighten up those suspenders, fix your ball cap or straw hat on top of your head, and get your sandals - or boots - on! It is time to roll and party with Eli the blacksmith and G the hit man in an adventure you are not soon to forget.
You will never look at a horse and buggy the same way again.

    Another Satisfied Customer!
This book has already had a number of favorable reviews, so I'll skip the preamble and tell you why this book affected me personally. Throughout it's pages, the protagonist references The B*tthole Surfers, a band with which many people may not be familiar, but a band which formed one of the corner stones of my adolescence. The Surfers are a band that cannot be called GOOD by any conventional estimation, but they are undeniably unique and bad-trip inducing. I recall taping their music on a cassette before going to skate badly in someone's driveway. The Surfers embody something juvenile yet unmitigated. Something raw yet transcendent.
Their music is the kind of thing that 3 young guys might sit around in a basement jamming on, thinking they were really doing something special, while their parents bang on the floor so they will turn their amps down. It's the kind of thing the 3 main characters of THIS book spend their time jamming on in the basement. And it is also the feeling of complete dissociation that this books invokes in the reader. Faking your way through life -- we all do it, but it is rare that we see it so eloquently confirmed for us on the page. My hat's off to Mr. Wensink. You made me feel like a young poseur again.
"What would Gibby do?" He would read this book!
"What would Gibby do?" He would read this book! Deshler Dean, lead singer of Lothario Speedwagon and sometime burger executive, drunkenly stumbles his way through incredible scenarios that he rarely remembers, all while trying to fulfill his dreams of rock stardom and figure out how to maintain his relationship with Malinta, if there is one. I liked the way Wensink starts by giving you Deshler's black out "memories" and then proceeds to fill in the gaps as the story moves along. Another aspect of this book that keeps you wanting more is that there are lots of characters whose intentions you are never quite sure about. Who are the good guys, who are the bad guys, is there a difference, does it matter? You should read "Broken Piano for President" and decide for yourself.
Come for the Cliff Drinker, Stay for the Soundtrack
Patrick Wensink's Broken Piano for President is a wryly-funny rock-and-roll novel tackling cheeseburgers, assassinations, marketing, and the collapse of the American Dream. Provocative and laugh-out-loud funny, Broken Piano for President is on its way to becoming a genuine pop culture phenomenon.
Focusing on the misadventures of Deshler Dean, punk rock singer and alcohol-soaked marketing savant, Broken Piano for President is a perfect novel for anyone who's ever woken up with a hangover and a head wound... particularly if said head wound belongs to someone else.

    Title: The Best of Youth
    Author: Michael Dahlie
    Narrator: Kirby Heyborne
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 8 hrs and 6 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 02-01-13
    Publisher: Dreamscape Media, LLC
    Genres: Fiction, Humor
    Publisher's Summary:
Henry Lang is a smart but unassuming young man with a degree from Harvard and limited social skills. After his parents are killed in an accident, leaving him a substantial inheritance, he moves to Brooklyn to see if he can make it in publishing, perhaps fall in love, and attend the sorts of parties and events that he imagines 20-somethings in Brooklyn frequent. Unfortunately, Henry is somewhat of a target for other, more savvy Brooklynites. He finds himself in a string of increasingly troubling situations and demoralizing romantic adventures.
Things finally fall apart for him in catastrophic ways when he agrees to ghostwrite a young adult novel for a charismatic but drug-addicted and sometimes-violent actor. Will Henry lose everything he has to save his integrity?
    Members Reviews:
"I'm with you, against whatever problems you are facing."
In Henry's life, his father and his "unofficial" fourth cousin have made this promise to him. As the book opens, Henry had inherited a fortune from his parents and was casting about to find a meaningful course for his life. He has been trying without success to convert his relationship with his cousin, Abby to a romantic one. This she squashes with some finality, but adding the promise of support. And Henry needs support. He is as hapless a person as I have encountered in fiction or in life for some time. He has backed a magazine whose purpose he doesn't really understand. He has killed an improbable million dollars worth of goats by misadventure and with the greatest of kindly intent. He is the recipient of a group email in which the sender has inadvertedly included the fact that her sleeping with Henry was "taking one for the team" due to his financing the magazine.
At this point I was very ready to throw the book against the wall and curse and gnash my teeth. This guy's father had said he was a solidly good and kind person, and Henry is that. But he is so misguided, so hapless, and so passive that I wanted to scream at him. He possesses a Harvard education and millions of dollars but seems to spend his days aimlessly trying to decode the hipster life in which he lives. But he is crippled by his incessant self consciousness that keeps him from learning anything of substance from other people and their problems.
So my spineless rule is to finish the book. And despite my despair when Henry contracts to ghost write a book for a famous actor, I kept reading. And I grew to kind of like Henry. He seems to grow up some. He begins to actually see the people
with whom he interacts. He finds a niche where he belongs. I won't do a spoiler here, but the changes do come with his successfully becoming aware of his own and other peoples' intent.
I think Henry is also the kind of guy who would always be with you. I don't know how to handle the assignment of stars. The beginning of this book is truly annoying. But the second half wouldn't mean much without the aimlessness of this first half. In the end, I think this is worth a try. The cultural references are entertaining and insightful. The famous book for whom he ghost writes is vivid enough to tempt one to mull over possible real life candidates. So read it and see what you think.
    --------The Saga of Henry Lang--------
Henry Lang is in his twenties and already alone in the world. He had recently lost both of his parents in a boating accident.

    Language: English
    Release date: 01-22-13
    Publisher: Jacqueline Druga

    Genres: Fiction, Humor
    Publisher's Summary:
Within the depths of her eccentric, struggling-writer mind, within her every novel, lies what she believes to be the perfect man. The perfect hero. His name...Bob.
Emily Stevenson dreams, creates, inspires, and writes all for the one character she truly feels no man alive could compare. No man alive, that is. All that changes when Emily's fictional world comically collides with reality. Not only does she meet the man who looks, talks, and acts like her "Bob", but she falls in love with him. He is her living, breathing, hero.
There's only one problem: Bob isn't living nor breathing at all. Bob is a ghost that only Emily and her eight-year-old daughter can see.
    Members Reviews:
    Must read or hear!!!
Would you listen to Bob again? Why?
Laughed out loud! Had my son wondering what was so funny. This is a very funny and enjoyable book. It's my first from this author, bought it on impulse and I know I'll listen to it over and over again.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bob?
When Bob realizes he can be seen by Emily and Stephanie
What does Dan Bernard bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
The life he brings to each of the characters is amazing. He gives every one of them a distinct personality and such feeling that would not come from just reading the book.
Who was the most memorable character of Bob and why?
I would have a hard time picking between Emily, Bob and Stephanie. They were so much fun to follow.

A law-student stripper, two inept hitmen, the First Church of Elvis, Scientist, and a small-time mobster's biggest scam... Things are about to get all shook up in this hilarious novel filled with explosions, attempted murder, intrigue, and a whole lot more.
    Critic Reviews:
"It's an understatement to say that Mike Argento is a funny writer. His wit unfolds across every character, scene ,and scenario of Don't Be Cruel. Virtually every page elicits grins and frequent gut-busting laughs. I'll never sit in a church pew again without looking at the altar and imagining the worship service at the First Church of Elvis, Scientist." (Mike Leonard, columnist, The Herald Times, Bloomington, Indiana)
"Bizarre, clever and full of pitch-black humor, Don't Be Cruel is one hell of a debut novel! Argento's voice, prose, and wit are sharp as razors." (Brian Keene, best-selling author of Ghoul and Darkness on the Edge of Town)
"In his first novel, the delightfully goofy Don't Be Cruel, Mike Argento proves once again he's a twisted bastard with a heart of gold. This crime caper novel is filled with classic Argento observations of true life absurdities that devoted readers of his columns (and there are more than a few of us) will immediately recognize and appreciate. He'll hate me for saying it, but his sentimental side is on fine display in Don't Be Cruel. As I have done countless times, I'm simultaneously shaking my head head wondering, What the hell is wrong with that boy?' as I'm smiling and thinking, Awwwwww.'" ( Lauri Lebo, author, The Devil in Dover: An Insider's Account of Darwin v Dogma in Small Town America)

Do not read this book while driving!
I think this guy writes for Mel Brooks. He's THAT funny! The plot is out there from the publisher's blurb, and I'm sure that I met the characters when working the Booking Room (including the excessive/constant use of the word f***). No spoilers to be found here (you wouldn't believe me anyway). Well, I guess that you should know that the "throne" that "the king" sits on is a Kohler. Can you just see a reader sitting in the subway or other crowded place laughing so hard every few minutes that eyes must be wiped? Trust me on this, you's have to be dead not to laugh your way through this one!
And talk about the audio performer, Jack C! Not only does he do voices suited to the characters (double meaning here), but so much of the narrative delivery is laid-back tongue-in-cheek. This is the perfect delivery to showcase the hilarity of the story.
    Murder, gangsters and bad boys...
I received this audio book as a gift in exchange for a honest and unbiased review. I really enjoyed this book. It has gangsters, murders, explosions, a strip joint and more. I would classify it as a suspense / action / thriller with a touch of humor. I loved the characters senses of humor in this book. Even bad guys can be funny. Absolutely loved the voices done by the narrator. I loved the voices used for grandma and Pappa. Kat is a coot! Even though this is a suspense / thriller, I found this book to be fun!
The author, Mike Agrento did a great job writing this story. Great plot with lots of wit and many twists and turns! The narrator, Jack Chekijian did a great job delivering this story flawlessly to us. I loved all of his voices!
    a good laugh
    I liked this book.

Bambi Simmons is the perfect woman. She is tall, slender and blonde with everything going for her.
But she also has a very dark secret that only a few unfortunate people have learned. When an officer comes too close to the truth, she totally has to take care of business.
Embark on a different sort of vampire tale in this dark comedy by Joel M. Andre that features his beloved detective Lauren Bruni.
    Members Reviews:
BLONDES ARE "DEADLY" FUN -BRUNETTES ARE SERIOUS !
Would you listen to Valley Vampire again? Why?
Ohhhh Yes ! I would listen to this audio a few more times, just to remind myself how smart and witty brunettes truly are, and how overrated and underestimated blondes have always been! hee hee hee ... (now that you all know I AM a brunette!!) Back to the story .. ahem .. Bambi is the lead character, with the most irritating valley girl voice/personality you could ever even imagine. Lauren Bruni is the smart, officer/detective side kick (and brunette!!!) of officer Cary Thompson. They are searching for clues to the "disappearance" of Kyle Walker, a student who attended the local high school. Apparently Bambi Simmons, the drop-dead gorgeous blonde in the skimpy, sexy attire with leather boots to match, was the last one to be seen with the young student. Bambi drives a luxury red sports car with the license plate 'VAMP' and looks anything 'but' innocent. The story continues as the two detectives ask Bambi to assist them with a trip to where Kyle Walker was last seen. And this is where the short story unfolds to a heightened frenzy!
What other book might you compare Valley Vampire to and why?
No other story reminds me of Valley Vampire mainly because "Valley", referring to Bambi's valley girl persona, made it a one of a kind short story. The valley girl style was popular way back in the '70's, so this effected speech pattern relays to the reader that Bambi has been alive since way back when, and she still looks like a teenager 30 years later!
    Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was Lauren and Bambi's confrontation - the cat and the mouse chase through the woods. I also liked the description of when Bambi stuck her fingers down her throat and 'projectile-vomit-spewed' the blood she had just swallowed into 'you-know-who's' face. That was pretty horrifyingly disgusting!
Who was the most memorable character of Valley Vampire and why?
I think it was a tie between Bambi Simmons and Lauren Bruni. Bambi was the most memorable because she is the hot vampire that seduces innocent young teenagers into their demise and at times, decides to turn a few just to entertain herself. Lauren is the character we want to see save the world from the multiplying "Bambi's" among us.
    Any additional comments?
Great short audio listen that will keep asking questions even after the story ends. I know many people are irritated by open ended stories, but I find them enticing and fun. Always leaves room for you to create your own ending or to search for the authors next book to see if yours was the same as the authors.

    Fantastic!
I am fan of spoof audiobooks. My favourite was Bleak Expectations (Victorian spoof) but now its this The Spaceship II (Sci-fi spoof). I have given it 5 stars because of the absence of canned laughter (I dont need anyone to tell me when to laugh) but it's very funny even so.
I can find The Spaceship I anywhere? I have looked at the Audible library; BBC website etc. but I havent found it. I will appreciate if anyone reading this review tells me where I can get a copy please?
