Sweet

I read this 3rd book in the series and this one was sweet. Saw was so giving and full of worries. His master was perfect for him, there was not as much sex in this one which I found a little overpowering in the other books. This one was just right a good mix of story and sex scenes.

this story is not your typical eli easton story..I was assuming it would be her normal tale but as I progressed I quickly realized it wasn't. it took a Totally different turn then her norm. I was. good change and the performance was spot on! I recommend this book!

Well, let me tell you this story went a completely different direction than I ever expected. At first, I found the story to be a little slow, but not to worry, that doesn't last very long before you're wondering what the heck is going on! Secretive man Hutch lives in the middle of nowhere and is suspicious when a man turns up on his property disoriented and half frozen. Against his better judgment, he brings the man in and takes care of him. Jude is the most beautiful man Hutch has ever seen, and it's easy for him to understand why he's a successful model, even though he's having trouble believing Jude's story. Eventually, he lets down his guard, and he and Jude find a way to pass the time while snowed in. Only, maybe Hutch has a right to be suspicious of the perfect Jude.

I don't want to give anything away about what happens in this book, and if you read the blurb, let me tell you the author is giving nothing away! I was a little distracted at first because I thought this story seemed similar to another I read about a couple snowed in together. Let me tell you, that is the only similarity between those two books. As this is the first book I've read by this author, and add in the beginning of this story, I totally was expected an instalove, happily ever, sappy, sweet romance. Whew, there may have been a HEA, but let me tell you nothing came easy in this story. Seriously, you're going to have to read/listen this book (and that's no hardship) to understand this review!

Hutch's secretiveness hides a man of immense skills, grief and talents. Jude's beautiful exterior hides a man of hidden depths, fears and skills. Together the men will find a beautiful love and an even more beautiful future that we get to see. Honestly, this is such a well-written written story, that it doesn't take long to pull you into it, and then you finding yourself rushing through to see what's going to happen next. It's one of those situations that I didn't want the story to end but I couldn't wait to get to the end because I had to know what happened. This is a must read!!

The narrator of this story was John Solo and I thought he did a terrific job for a story that was more than expected.

Too short.

There was a good chemistry bet Vincent and his daughter Cara. She seemed very mature for only being nine. There seemed more development between father and daughter than between Vincent and Jake. Of course these men both sensed a mutual attraction but the ending seemed to be left up in the air. This is my first time reading this author so I hope there will be more to their relationship.

Nice but short

This had a lot of potential but ended before there was any character development. We know a little about Vincent and his history but nothing about Jake. This should have been longer and more fully developed. Did the author get bored and give up? Also, it needs some editing. Not too many errors but there are a few times when "Victor" is used where "Vincent" should be.

Enjoyed this story

I enjoy this story, I loved the characters, and story.

Not Quite ...

This book could use a good editor. The story is not complicated but the delivery is a bit off and the end comes much too quickly to impress the reader. There is no character development, the characters act and react, changing as needed by the story line but there is no development, no option for the reader to understand or to know who the characters are.

Terrible story that is not only puerile and utterly unconvincing, but also homophobic and misogynistic.

Book is told from two perspectives but it is confusing as the characters are identical and they are narrated in the same voice.

The narration is poor, though not the worst I have heard. Words are mispronounced. But the audio quality is poor with loud background noise at times and many editing errors.

It growth on you.

This was a interesting proses . I could not get in to it at the beginning but after a while i got I n to it.

Best story for me this year

I read this book about 2 months ago and it was so amazing that up had to get the Audiobook... so Please see my review of this book in kindle Amazon.

Story = 5 stars.. Such a deliciously hot, funny and sexy story

Narration= 4.3 stars-I would have scored the narration higher except for the background sounds. I listened to the book's twice already. Michael Mola was the perfect choice.

So much yes!

I absolutely loved this coming of age m/m story! Her debut is just perfect. It'd crass, funny, honest, and simply spicy! Michael did a fair job, there was some background noises that took away from some of the scenes, but overall I enjoyed it. I've reread this book four times and it's still as good as the first.

After a pretty brutal start to the story (that first chapter is heartbreaking...so that the reader understands just how much Jeremy has gone through), this book settled into a hot, sexy, and by the end...romantic story. I liked it. I recommend it.

And, yes, I know this is a super-short review...but...I'm good with that. It was a good book.

Really amazing! I'd give it more stars...

The story starts out rough. No holds barred. Jeremy loses his husband and their unborn child first thing. It takes him 2 years to rise from the depression that spurs.

Kai is a former gang member turned teacher. His childhood shaped him and he now works with at-risk kids to give them the chance that he didnt have.

After meeting as a one time hook-up at a club, Jeremy freaks out and acts like a jerk. Luckily, Kai is truly wonderful and he understands the reasons behind the freak out and forgives Jeremy.

In the beginning they have a sex only, no-strings arrangement, but over time, feelings grow and emotions get involved.

This is a breathtakingly beautiful story. Its so painful at the beginning but it has such a beautiful ending, the pain is worth it.

Melanie Hansens writing is perfection. She has improved even since book one (which was wonderful) and there are no rough edges to this book. The story line is clean, thought provoking without being preachy, real and rugged but still very sentimental and romantic. You can see this actually happening but still feel the fairy-tale-ness of the story. (The blazing hot sex helps with that!)

Kai and Jeremy are HOT together. Their chemistry is off the charts. But its also really touching and romantic when it needs to be. I loved how they fit each other so well. Its never a big deal that Jeremy is rich its just there. Kai is independent and always will be so its not a big deal. That was very refreshing.

It was nice seeing the happy Jase and Carey bits, seeing them with more of their HEA.

I really, really loved this story. It will count among the years best for me and I highly recommend it.

Enemies to Lovers

I enjoyed Kevin Chandler's narration. He pulls off Brent's sweetness, and Kyle's snark. The character voices are subtle, but noticeable and it's not hard to discern who is speaking and when.

Rough Edges is an enemies to lovers romance.

Kyle is more than a bit unlikable in the beginning, to the point I'm surprised he could walk upright and not just tip over with that giant chip on his shoulder.

Kyle makes assumptions about Brent and then proceeds to basically use those assumptions to be a giant d**k to Brent through much of the story.

Brent was sweet, hugely understanding, super hot, and maybe (and by maybe, I mean absolutely) too good for Kyle. He takes Kyle in when Kyles loses his job and place to live, and proceeds to be kind, supportive, and just plain awesome.

My biggest issue with the story is that I didn't feel like Kyle really redeemed himself from his earlier behavior. He's a real a**hole for months to Brent and though, by the end the story, Kyle atones for his douchiness, sort of, for me it was a case of almost too little too late.

Cardeno writes unlikable characters realistically, and the reader - through the dual POV - gets to see both sides of the story, which helps. It makes it worth it when the story morphs into a sweet romance, and the lovely HFN is just right.

In the end, I'm #TeamBrent all the way.

If you're looking for a quick read/audio with some steam and a sweet ending, you should check this out.

Short, sweet with a steamy dash of heat

Rough Edges is part friends-to-lovers and part enemies-to-lovers, only because Brent fits the friend part and Kyle kind of fits the enemies part (in his own mind that is). I have to admit, Kyle aggravated me quite a bit for much of the story with his attitude toward Brent. While I could see where he was coming from, I thought Kyle was just a bit brash and snippy when dealing with Brent when the story started out.

Brent on the other hand, he was always sweet, giving and carefree. He knows hes had it easy in life, but still wants to help when he can. The two have an attraction between them which at first is more like mutual physical need, but then slowly grows to become more.

5 AWESOME STARS!

This is such an awesome listen. So far the whole series has been great. This story was entertaining with plenty of action, deceit, and sexy times. I didn't know what to expect with Kenny and his two alphas, and what direction the author would take. I love how possessive and loving these alphas are with their Omega's. I loved that we got to see characters from the previous books all interacting together. Some unanswered questions get answered in this book. I have been listening to this series non-stop this weekend. I am hooked on this series and moving to book 4 now.

A Good mate

This was a really good book and a really good series. Kenny is an Omega who thought he had a great life he is pregnant he has a loving Alpha Colin who is the pack leader of Whiskey River pack. When Colin tells him that his father has arranged a contract to mate a Alpha female so they could have peace between the packs. All is going well until he meets the alpha female Althea to takes a dislike to Kenny and wants to get rid of him and his unborn pup. When he says no he finds himself being taken to an Auction house to be sold Kenny is hurt that Colin would do this to him and not even allow him to say goodbye to his other kids. I hated Althea even when she was first mentioned in book 2. Colin thought that Kenny ran away and couldn't understand why. When Kenny is purchased by Drey an Alpha of his pack who is also a lawyer knows that it is something more going on with Kenny and when he calls Rafe he finds out that they have been looking for him that Colin was very upset that he ran away. I really liked this book it was the best one in this series so far to me.
