In the middle. It is a fun story with a sweet and sexy romance.

No this is my first but I have a few in my Library. I liked the sexy soft tone to his voice. It is easy to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really, though the twist of who Jonah really was and another twist when he returned home was a good surprise.

Forgotten Paradise was a fun story to listen to. I felt like it was almost two stories as we had the business takeover plot and then the sexy vacation with the vacation fling. I loved the beautiful Island setting, how Jonah and Adam met and Jonah's friend that kept giving him advice.

Forgotten Paradise is a vacation fling, enemies to lovers, and a hot and spicy romance. If you are looking for a good book for a summer read or really anytime I recommend this.

BRAVO!!

Sorting Will gave you every twist and turn you could ever dream of. At some points you wanted to slap Sam, but then was laughing at his ways of describing life. There was plenty of plot twists, humor, and love between all the characters. Bravo!!!! seriously a good read!!!!

Great narration from Nick Russo!

For the first chapter or two, I thought I was at a bit of a disadvantage reading this as a standalone. I felt like I was missing everyone's back story.... Ash, Oak, Ben, etc. I felt like they had all this history together and I was completely in the dark.

So I decided to go back and listen to books #1-3 in the series, but soon discovered that those are not available as audiobooks. And since I almost exclusively listen to books instead of reading, I was pretty bummed. But I understand the cost of producing audiobooks, so I can't fault the author.

I decided to continue on with Sorting Will and just pay extra attention to the subtext between characters so I could figure out the dynamics. Sam is an old childhood friend of Ash. Oak is Ben's first love, but now Oak is with Ash. Ben is still pining after him, but that doesn't stop him from jumping between the sheets with Will, his longtime friend with benefits. Ben would like to try to be more to Will, to get over Oak, but Will knows he can never fill Oak's shoes and turns him down.

Once I figured all that out, I really enjoyed the story quite a bit. I actually preferred the relationship between Sam and Will, without adding Ben into the mix, but that's just my opinion.

As far as narration, Nick Russo did an amazing job as always. You can always count on him to give a great performance.

Another Great Crow Creek Romance!

This series is so good! In this one, Sam and Will are pretty much in love from their first meeting. Will is thrilled and ready to rearrange his plans so that he can spend his life with the man he loves. Unfortunately, Sam has commitments and responsibilities he isn't sure he'll ever be able to let go of, even though Will has his heart and always will.

Good story concept but poor follow through--DNF

I didn't finish this book, stopping at about 50%. The author is obviously new and her writing is unpolished. She/he Often uses odd constructions and describes things in contradictory ways. For instance, she describes the omega as looking both devious and wholesome. An example of the odd phrasing is "heat flushes around on my forehead". Beyond this there is a central issue that doesn't make sense. Eli has gone to the town, braving dangerous conditions as an omega, to get a crystal that his father needs to stay alive. However when Rall the alpha come to get him out of prison Eli won't tell him his name or why he's there--even after being told that the alpha is the only source of the crystals! The rest of the story makes no sense based on this. Later Eli is planning to try and steal some crystals. While his father is lying in the hospital dying he's messing around with the alpha. This made me lose all respect for Eli and feel convinced that he was childish and had zero sense. There was a way to play up the conflict of Eli distrusting alphas and not wanting to be mated without creating this element of drama. There were also many proofing errors so I have to assume that there were no beta readers. The story had potential but didn't make good on it at all.

I wonder in what language it was originally written?

Good grief, another author who is either illiterate or for whom English is NOT their first language. The story was rushed and childish. The characters are 1 dimensional and the only saving grace is that the book is so short! The omega character is the worst. I don't know if he's bi-polar or what, but his entire personality changes almost constantly. He is also rash, impulsive, thoughtless and a little bit stupid. The alpha character is a little better, but you don't hear much from him so it's hard to tell.

Really sweet HS crush story with good narration

I dont know what the name would be but I think everyone has that fantasy the boy/girl you crushed on in high school who was so unattainable but triggered all your young lust now, youre an adult and lonely and lo and behold said person is still around and just as hot and now he/she can be yours!

This hit all those notes. Thane didnt know Blake when they were kids, but Blake sure crushed hard on Thane. Now Thane is an uncle and all bossy and protective and though he and Blake clash at first that spark ignites between them.

I thought the chemistry was wonderful very hot and yet it wasnt the main focus of the story. The boys Thanes nephews were adorable and very charming. Blakes role as principal was portrayed fairly accurately and his dilemmas with procedure felt authentic.

I didnt like that even at the end Thane was a dick to Blake and Blake didnt make him grovel enough when he really should have.

It was a sweet ending with a solid HFN/HEA and very hopeful. I enjoyed this and while I had some niggles for the most part that it was really engaging.

I really liked this! I can take or leave John Solos narrations, he always does a solid job but Im not always wowed. This time, however, he really impressed me! I thought he did Thanes accent and personality perfectly and even the kids with their cadence felt really authentic.

I really enjoyed this and highly recommend it!

Great story. Annoying narrator

This is a well written story with likable main characters. The character development and the relationships between Rachel and Cal was well done including the other mounted police officers and even the horses. 5 stars for the book itself.

What I didn't care for was the narrator. She has an annoying inflection - I can only describe as a high society valley girl accent. Her voice rises at the end of each sentence. Also there wasn't much difference between the two mains voices. The author describes when Rachel uses her authoritative policeman's voice - yet the narrator's voice doesn't change. I almost quit early on, but the writing was able to rise above the narration. If I wasn't already in the middle of another book, I would've quit the audible and read it myself.

Enjoyable Romance with weak mystery story.

Great romance story about the Riding unit of mounted royal Canadian police. The mystery part of the story was weak, but the romance was great.

I loved this book.

I loved Mounting Danger. This is book one in the Tacoma Mounted Patrol Series. Excellent book. Lots of romance, drama, police work and horses. Excellent narration by Hollis Elizabeth. So hopefully the other two books in the series will be available on audio soon. Yes?

Difficult to put down.

This was the first book I've heard by Laura Baumbach. I really enjoyed it. Though the villain was pretty easy to predict, there were still details left to surprise the reader.

As far as the narrator, I will pretty much listen to any book narrated by Joel Leslie even if it's a book I might not be totally interested in. He is absolutely fantastic!

Stunning

I loved this in the book form! The plot has plenty of action right from the start. Alex is a fabulously complex and unspoilt character, Reese is very much a product of his life's experiences. They make a fantastic couple and I hope we get more from them soon. I could see these guys being as long lived ( in the book series sense) as Eve and Roarke in the In Death series.

Then we come to Joel Leslie's inspired narration. Every character has a distinct and recognisable voice. It is as always a joy to listen to words I've already read and hear different annotations. I would listen to this man read the phone book and enjoy it!

I would definitely recommend this audio to.... well Everybody really!

Savory and sweet. Such a great short story. It had me craving more right from the start.

I loved Clint & Hawk. I found them to be interesting, intense and oh so yummy. CC was able to give us quite a bit about them in a short amount of time.

I love Ezekiel Robison. I love his character voices (with extra kudos on bringing Hawk's "whiskey smooth and gravel rough" voice to life) and his easy way of narrating so the story just flows seemingly effortlessly into your ears. Ezekiel absolutely brings out the passion, humor, and romance in this.

This is a short (super quick), fun, sexy, humorous novella with what seems like insta-love to the nth degree...but it's a hell of a lot deeper than that.

Seems like your people reading skills just short out when it comes to me. Hawk tipped Clints face up. Why is that?

You know why, Clint said, seeing no point in playing games. He was at Hawks house for one reason and they both knew what it was.

You want me. Hawk leaned down and brushed his lips across Clints jaw. Not the same way I want you, but its a start.

At twenty-eight years old, Clint wasnt a stranger to the concept of going home with a man to screw. Hawk Black probably had close to ten years on him, so he had to know the score too. Which meant he had to understand that the things he was saying, the intensity with which he was looking at Clint, and the tenderness in his touch werent standard fare for a hook-up.

Told from Clint Rivera's POV, the story takes place over a weekend that starts off monumentally bad, but ends up happily ever after.

I loved it.

At just under two hours listening time, this audiobook is a perfect story for a long commute, running errands, or needing a sweet break from it all.

Into the Cage I Go

This is an interesting book! I've never read anything about MMA before but the plot was fascinating, the interspersion of wrestling, karate and other martial arts, along with the entire way of life of a MMA fighter, was all new to me. The added interest of the main characters' developing feelings for each other add another aspect to the story.

Very cohesive plot. Wonderful characters in a sweet romance. An overall wonderful read.

Gosh I so loved this book

Gosh I so loved this book. I am an the ARC team but got a heads up with the buy link and bought. It is a great read. David and Hunter were great from the start. I just loved how David went back to his school days and just knew Hunter was for him, kinda same as Hunter but with insecurities. I just loved how they fell together and just went with it.

A winner!

Being in the right place at the right time worked for David and Hunter. They found themselves re- establishing a childhood friendship which grew into a comfortable and easy love with one another. They both won their match!!

Exciting sports action!

I would recommend this book for sports enthusiasts. Especially wrestlers and karate and mma fighters. The story is about athletes who just happen to be gay.

Review of "Side Kick"

Well, I have to tell you that I have two dislikes when it comes to reading and that is MMA stories and mob stories. I would never consciously buy them, but as an ARC reader I felt obligated to read this one of Devyn's, of which I found very entertaining. David is a gay virgin, having found his true sexualiy later than most. Freshly divorced he is seeking experience and perhaps love on the gay side of things. Hunter is a Karate master and an MMA fighter. Without a home after he leaves the house of his hosting karate school, he is living out of his truck...again. Meeting at the karate school, David recognizes Hunter from a time when they attended the same school in sixth grade. David had been the protector of Hunter, a tiny geeky friend. The two slide together and form a friendship and love starts to develope. David becomes a sidekick for Hunter at the MMA school. An important fight for Hunter is coming up. Can David help to overcome some the the obstacles that Hunter will be facing with the other fighter? Can Hunter find a friends and a home? Read this really good story...it's worth it. I have read and reviewed this ARC book.

An okay story that wasn't helped by narrator

I was attracted to this because I love hockey and it seemed cute and had some potential. Id not heard the narrator before, but the sample seemed good enough and it wasnt very long so

Short stories are hard because you have to jump right in and give a background, current action and potentially an epilogue in only a few words. They need to be tight, focused and really geared toward portraying one (or a few) certain feelings/points/etc.

Since this is a short story about a closeted hockey player, as expected the main focus is his personal journey and decision to come out. Its also about falling in love and its also about being true to yourself. Thats just too many things for THIS story to accomplish.

I didnt get a good feeling of connection between our MCs and their weekend relationship moved from zero to Forever way too fast without giving me something to believe in. There are some hot times and some deep discussions and then were transported to several months later.

I think the author would have benefited from focusing on only one of these major points and delivering on it than painting so wide a canvas.

Unfortunately the narrator, Jack Raleigh made this a very distracted listen because he kept switching his accent for Addison around and I couldnt tell if he was German, French, Russian or a Vampire.

All in all I was glad this was short, thought it was an okay story with too much to tell in too little time and the narration was interesting if not actually good.

What did you like best about this story?

that both ladies were of color!(both were Asian, but one South Asian descent, the other Southeast Asian)

Mixed-race love story

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Maybe more in depth story, although I understand this is only the 2nd in a series, so more to look forward too

Brings the voices alive
