In today’s third hour, Dr. Ben Carson rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his newly released book Created Equal: The Painful Past, Confusing Present, and Hopeful Future of Race in America. First, Giordano asks Dr. Carson to take him through his experience as a black man, with Carson explaining the great progress we’ve seen in the country that repeatedly gets ignored. Then, Giordano and Carson discuss the direction of race in this country, with Dr. Carson lamenting about the usage of racism as a wedge issue in American politics, telling that races should not be encouraged to see one another as enemies. Also, Dr. Carson offers his thoughts on Critical Race Theory, and tells what he hopes to change in releasing the new book.
Then, after playing his Money Melody, Dom discusses astronomical gas prices that he saw while he was on his way to work, revealing that a station just off Lincoln Drive was charging $4.99 per gallon of regular gas. This leads Giordano into a conversation centered on inflation and the jobless numbers, telling that even in pursuing a remote broadcast, he’s heard of multiple restaurants and diners having consistent trouble finding staff. Also, Giordano takes calls throughout the hour on today's side question, asking for suggestions for a mother and son dance for producer Dan. (Photo by Darren McCollester/Getty Images)
