Christopher Yuan, the son of Chinese immigrants, discovered at an early age that he was different. He was attracted to other boys. As he grew into adulthood, his mother, Angela, hoped to control the situation. Instead, she found that her son and her life were spiraling out of control—and her own personal demons were determined to defeat her.

Christopher was to follow in his father’s footsteps to become a Doctor of Dental Surgery, however, just before graduation, Christopher dropped out of college. His life was centered on his homosexual lifestyle, and he became the go-to drug dealer in the area. 

After years of heartbreak and confusion, Angela began to see her prayers answered in Christopher’s life.
 
Today, Dr. Christopher Yuan speaks at college campuses, conferences, and in churches, along with his mother, Angela.  He graduated and taught at Moody Bible Institute, receiving his Doctorate of Ministry in 2014.

He has co-authored a memoir with his mother, called “Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God. A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope”, which has sold more than 100,000 copies. His newest book, entitled “Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story” was released in 2020.
