  • The #1 Early Sign of Dementia

The earliest sign of dementia may not be memory loss. Changes in memory, confusion, and personality can appear after dementia has already been developing for years. Earlier signs may include slower reaction time, difficulty solving problems, reduced grip strength, and changes in your sense of smell.

The olfactory nerves in the back of your sinuses connect directly to the brain, which may explain why smell and taste can be affected early. Try closing your eyes and smelling different spices to see whether you can tell them apart. If your sense of smell has noticeably declined, talk with your doctor about further testing.

  • The #1 Most Dangerous Carb in the World!

The most dangerous carb isn't sugar; it's industrial starch. Modified food starch, modified cornstarch, and maltodextrin break down rapidly into glucose and create major blood sugar and insulin spikes.

🌟 Take the 2-minute Health Lever Quiz: https://drbrg.co/4dii8k0

Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements.

These highly refined starches are commonly found in:
    • Gluten-free foods
    • Baby formulas
    • Baked goods
    • Sports nutrition products
    • Ultra-processed foods labeled “zero sugar”

Industrial starch is inexpensive, heavily processed, and often used as a filler to add bulk to food. Consuming large amounts can contribute to insulin resistance, a fatty liver, visceral fat, gut inflammation, and unfavorable cholesterol patterns.

Find out how to get tinnitus relief in 30 seconds here: https://drbrg.co/464NiHR

In the past, a common tinnitus treatment involved slicing the auditory nerve, only to discover that ringing in the ears did not go away.

Inside the inner ear, you have a tiny but powerful battery. The inner ear has a very high demand for energy and relies heavily on this energy for hearing and preventing ringing in the ears.

Any problems with energy in the bloodstream can show up in your inner ear. If your inner ear struggles to get enough energy, the brainstem compensates by actually turning up the volume, not decreasing it. This often manifests as tinnitus.

Vitamin B1 powers the “battery” of the inner ear, supports brain function, and supplies energy to the mitochondria. Studies have shown that people with beriberi and tinnitus have been able to reverse tinnitus with vitamin B1.

Vitamin B1 in the form of allithiamine is one of the best ways to get rid of tinnitus.

Statin medications are the most commonly prescribed drug class in the United States, yet most people are unaware of their potential side effects.

Statins are typically prescribed when cholesterol levels are high. They block the production of cholesterol, but they also block the production of CoQ10, which is vital for muscle and heart health.

If you’re taking statins, CoQ10 can help mitigate the side effects. Ubiquinol is a fast-acting form of CoQ10 and may be the best form to take. A typical amount is 200–400 mg.

Instead of immediately taking statins, ask yourself: Why do you have high cholesterol in the first place? Refined carbohydrates and sugar can contribute to cholesterol production in the body. Low bile, gallbladder problems, or gallbladder removal can also contribute to high cholesterol.

Discover how prolonged fasting can transform your health in this article: https://drbrg.co/4x78oQS

Most women think intermittent fasting is dangerous or that it will wreck their hormones, but much of this concern is based on a faulty animal study.

For women dealing with hormonal problems like PCOS, a sluggish thyroid, menopausal weight gain, or irregular periods, intermittent fasting can be especially beneficial. The caveat is that you have to gear your intermittent fasting plan to your specific biology. The protocol for a woman with PCOS will look different from the protocol for a woman going through menopause.

To start intermittent fasting, you need a fasting window of 14 hours or greater. Many of the benefits of fasting are related to lowering insulin, which allows your body to tap into its fat reserves for fuel.

When insulin is too high, androgens can become elevated and contribute to estrogen dominance and low progesterone. This can affect your mood and contribute to symptoms like facial hair and cystic acne.

By lowering insulin, intermittent fasting can support hormone balance, fertility, and thyroid health and function and help reduce symptoms associated with menopause.

If you’re wondering whether you’re following the right intermittent fasting pattern, go by how you feel.

  • The Best Anti-Aging Advice I Wish I Knew in My 40s

Glycine becomes increasingly important as you get older, especially because most of it comes from collagen-rich foods that are largely missing from the modern diet. We used to eat nose to tail, but today we tend to choose tender muscle meats that contain much less glycine.

    Glycine is important for:
    • Immune system function
    • Maintaining the gut lining
    • Building heme in red blood cells
    • Collagen and fascia
    • Tendon strength and repair
    • Healthy cartilage

As collagen declines with age, you can start losing some of the connective tissue that gives the body its structure and supports the joints and tendons. One of the simplest ways to get more glycine is to eat more collagen-rich foods.

Learn how sleep hygiene is key for better sleep: https://drbrg.co/4h3ee0K

Over a billion people have sleep apnea, and the majority don’t know that simple airway exercises could offer a potential solution.

Sleep apnea involves a narrow airway with muscles that are too relaxed and weak. The airway can collapse, cutting off your oxygen and interfering with your sleep.

Most people with sleep apnea rely on a CPAP machine for sleep apnea treatment. People are also often told to lose weight to stop sleep apnea, but that only works in about a third of cases.

Do these sleep apnea exercises once a day for 7 minutes. Follow along for a simple demonstration of the following sleep apnea exercises:
    1. Tongue root press — Hold pressure for 5 seconds, relax for 2 seconds, and repeat 15 times.
    2. Palate lift — Hold the lift at the top for 3 seconds, release, and repeat for 20 reps.
    3. Cheek suction and hold — Hold a fish face for 5 seconds, followed by a puff face. Complete 5 cycles.
