Every generation thinks they've got parenting all figured out.  The one before them was old-fashioned and lacking in scientific method.  The one after them is too new-age and experimental.  Of course, in reality, no generation has parenting all figured out.  We probably never will.  There are some universal truths about childhood that we've learned over the years, though.  For example, don't let your kids hit you in the face.  That's bad.  Frieda has a few more truths to share, most of which might not be quite as obvious as that first one.
