Today, Purpose by Design welcomes my dear friend and colleague: Ify Mccoy who calls himself blessed and unstoppable. He had this recurring thought of “Unscripted Voices”, so he knew it was from God. This thought came to him a decade ago, it was just a thought. He had a mind of bringing people together with impromptu speeches. Now Ify has branched out adding Unscripted Voices Academy.

What is Unscripted Voices Academy you ask? It is a program geared towards adolescents and teenagers to train them how to speak, think, and grow into unstoppable confidence.

Ify talks about the importance of nurturing our kids on discovering their purpose: including and not limited to: improving reading and writing skills, public speaking, emotional intelligence and so on.

Purpose by Design welcomes Nompumelelo Real Kunene - a child of the Lord, a mentor, speaker, author and so much more. She inspires and encourages people to have a mentor as it is critical.

If you have dreams and goals in the next six months - she says to take amazing action, put on your oxygen mask first before you assist others, otherwise you won’t be able to help others. This simply means to get a coach to hold you accountable for your actions, both in your personal and business life.

Real talks about the injustice that happened to George Floyd and our human rights and encourages you to have a wake-up call. Don’t ever hit the snooze button because forever is a long time so why don’t you wake up and get going!

Ms. Kunene goes over “Rise to Greater Heights” - her best-selling book that motivates and teaches leadership, empowerment, being purpose-driven, mentorship, coaching and so much more. She encourages that we need to embrace our failures, and have the proper mindset so we can move forward after learning from our mistakes. We need to have resilience, we’ll rise from the ashes and change the world!

Purpose by Design welcomes Vanessa Simmons, first and foremost a child of the Most-High Jesus Christ. Following that, she is a motivational coach, wife of 15 years to her husband, mother of 3 kids, collaborative author of ``Women of the Power Voice”, speaker and mentor to hundreds of women. She is a motivator for all women alike to bring out their power voice inside of them, helping them see themselves like God sees them.    She speaks about mental health and how it is necessary to SPEAK to someone about it, and get help.  Vanessa goes into detail about how in 2007 her life hit rock bottom. She was having a baby, she was starting a business and she could not control herself, nor did she know how to deal with her issues. She was living a life of depression, how lack of sleep pushed her over the edge to the point she needed to be hospitalized.  She goes into depth about how one of the times she was at the hospital, she explains how though her eyes were open, she only saw black. There was nothing she could see but pitch-black. She knew she was in a body-bag. When a man unzipped the bag, saw she was alive he took Vanessa where she needed to go. Next thing -  Vanessa woke up in a hospital bed. She believes that the man who unzipped the body bag was  an encounter with an angel - something she will never forget.  Vanessa goes into more details in the International  Best Seller book, ‘Women of the Power Voice’ (in the Links Section) - where you can read all about it.     

She talks about the importance of immersing yourself in Scripture, and talking to God about everything in your life. Vanessa shares how she always aspired to be a speaker, and at a pivotal point in her life, it all came to the surface and she realized she needed to take action once she came across Mr. Les Brown, the one and only.  Story, Vision, and Voice - she talks about what these three powerful words mean to her.    Vanessa shares how it was hard to get her story out for a while based on her own perception of herself, and how paradigm shifts MATTER. Let God take your story, and touch people’s lives. Surrender to who you will become. She talks about surrendering to your future self, and owning that person and being that person and trusting God through the process. Vanessa shares her vision  about her upcoming documentary Zion’s Cry: Return of the Remnant. She will be interviewing people of spiritual awakening during the time of the pandemic, share about her first trip back to Ghana, and so much more. Dr. Eseverere talks about when she did a pageant in her church, and making a difference in the children's lives that she felt God pushed her to touch. She feels led to touch these girls’ lives and make a difference in them. She wanted to help other women who has stood on the sidelines of their lives.

She explains what it means to show up in life, and what it means to be your own boss and the CEO of your own life. She teaches that names and words have power. Dr. Eseverere says that you need to create the life that you want, empower that life - and own that life. She shows up daily with the mindset that a fresh start is just a choice away. If you do not like where you are, change that! Boss up to it, and take action! She beautifully says that she is smiling again, as she is happy again as she’s taken prior pain and turned it into joy - she is truly inspiring!

She talks about how God gives us sweet surprises and we will not always see the whole picture. She teaches that God is wanting to bless us, but we get programmed in bad paradigms. She talks about how she likes associating herself with people who use words like “greatness” as it matters who we do spend our time with.

Purpose by Design welcomes Selina Bornes: a mindset strategist. She helps women change their mindset, confidence, business, and lifestyle 180-degrees. Why 180-degrees? When you take a 180-turn, you end up in the opposite direction of where you are right now.

She talks about when she was married and in an abusive relationship and learned in 2016 that she was responsible for the energy in the house, and that she had a voice that was being pushed down. Her daughter ran away and that changed everything, her assertive side came out then and that is when she realized things could and should be different. She hired a coach then, wound up writing her first book: All That Glitters: From Selfishness and Despair to Restoration, a book to women about how to get out of your comfort zone, and learn to take a 180 from where you are at. She explains that taking a 180 is simply polishing your mirror to make it clear.

Her pastor taught her to live with commas behind our titles, not periods. Your title doesn’t end with your title, but may have continuation and extension - do not limit yourselves. She told her daughters that they sit and acknowledge themselves in the mirror is how they think of themselves. She encouraged them to improve the image of themselves in their mindsets and their subconscious will catch up.

Selina explains how many people walk around in life ignorant that they are perfect or nothing is wrong with them, as they are in denial. It takes realizing the problem first to fix the problem, which she says is so much fun to witness various clients / women work through their humps to get to their 180-degree point.

Journaling is an important step in women’s progress. Selina journaled to get everything out, as it was therapeutic. She will have her clients journal about the deep-rooted issues of fears to procrastinate. There is something else deep inside that people don’t acknowledge that Selina helps her clients get to the bottom of.

Purpose by Design welcomes my dear friend, Lori Paul who dons many titles: she is a mother, grandmother, writer, author, speaker, ministry leader and more.

Lori grew up believing success was growing up, getting married and having children. Her mother reminded her that she can do anything she wanted, which in her heart: was to be a pastor which was not a thing for females being pastors back then.

A little later in time Lori went through a very serious traumatic experience: she was set up by a pimp and got into some trouble - and led her to have identity issues. Lori decided to bury that traumatic experience deep down and not tell a soul: including her soon-to-be future husband who she never told as she wanted to forget it. Ms. Paul said she wanted to forget her last name and change her identity as fast as possible.

Later in life, God led Lori to a meeting that focused on trauma specific to what she went through - and she realized it was not her fault…the hurt, the guilt, the shame fell off of Lori. The Lord has a way of taking past situations that were hard and use them for his glory. Lori was asked to help promote a sex-trafficking bill and was asked to speak on how to spot it. She touches on how pornography starts young and can be targeted at our kids, and how she furthered her ministry. Lori also teaches that we need to nurture our BOYS just as much as we nurture our girls and give them equal love.

Lori is focused on helping people through her ministry visiting women at jails to listen, and help in any way she can in directing their future. She is staying busy writing her future book as well so keep an eye out for that in 2022.  Lori touches on how important being present, listening to someone who has gone through something is critical, and how little moments of support can change everything for someone. People of passion are a powerful entity that can help change this world.

Purpose by Design welcomes Suesara Imadojemun originally from Liberia, West Africa. She has endured much in her life from a rough childhood during a Civil war in Liberia at a young age. Around 20 years ago, Suesara was blessed with coming to the United States with her mother. Prior to that, her father was a politician in Africa.

Before moving to the States, Suesara lived in Africa where her father was a politician. She explains that you can pretty much set anyone up to be murdered there. During a civil-war there, her mother was almost shot point blank in front of her but God protected her, as the gun did not go off.

Around the age of 18 years old, Suesara and her mother came to the United States where Suesara runs her ministry: “All for Grace”. Suesara gives thanks to God for where she is now, and speaks on the importance of pleasing God not just in our public lives, but our private as well.

Suesara encourages believers who are going through a tough time to look to God as he is far bigger than what we are facing. Jesus is real and faithful and he WILL get you through it. Suesara wrote her first book called “Self Reflection - Walking with Jesus”, a book that helps people on their walk with God. It encourages us to live a God-driven life.

When You Find Your Purpose - You are Aligned With Greatness

Purpose by Design welcomes Terryl Daluz - an award winning playwright, creative writer, actor, and change-agent and mindset coach who shares with us his amazing journey and some wonderful wisdom.

At a young age, Terryl loved speaking in front of his class, entertaining people and putting smiles on his classmates' faces. Around 17 years of age, he toured with numerous rappers and was an avid dancer. He talks about being turned away at a local acting spot where the greats used to hang at in the beginning of their careers. He was initially turned away but went back and said he will start from the bottom and persisted for a chance.

One night out, he ended up in the middle of gunfire and was actually shot. God had a plan for this young man - the doctor said that if it was a couple inches over, he would have been paralyzed. God protected Terryl.

Terryl motivates and talks about manifestation, intentionality, and mindset. He talks about a dream he once had of a chair he came across in a local store that was a little out of his price range at the time. He said to himself that he WILL sit in the chair in his yard at one point in time, though not today. That night, he had a dream of that very chair and told his wife about it the next morning. That very day, he was driving and saw something in the middle of the road. He stopped and went to take a look: it was that very chair even with the price tag on it. He to this day has that chair in his yard, which has been designated his “writing chair”.

Mr. Daluz encourages those who don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel to keep pressing forward, and to keep your attention on the dream, not on your current circumstances. intentionality is important, and if you are not where you envision yourself being, that is just fine and likely you will be stronger, and be molded for your future purpose (rather it is this or something else). He teaches that mindset and intentionality and what we pay attention to matters!  We need to keep our eyes on the prize as when we limit ourselves we limit our greatness.
