What does a man who surived the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz have to say about the meaning of life?
Viktor Frankl was one of the lucky few who lived to tell the stories of what life in a concentration camp was like. In this book, he combines his experiences in camp with his knowledge as a professional psychologist and shares his thoughts on the meaning of life.
In this episode, I summarized my favorite parts of the book. Check the book out for yourself if this episode hits home for you!

Both a buddhist and a catholic, Professor John Cha has a unique perspective when it comes to the value of a spiritual journey...
A spiritual journey can teach us about compassion, ethics, morals, the world we live in, and ourselves. These conversations, however, can often be difficult to have because people grow up believing they hold the absolute truth and perceive a very black and white reality when it comes to religion: I believe or I don’t believe, I am a christian or I am a buddhist or I am a muslim, the church is bad or the church is good.
In reality, there is so much to learn between the black and white of spirituality and religion. Professor John Cha, a religion professor at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, talks to us today about spirituality, religious exploration, and interfaith communication. I hope this episode helps you understand the value of going on a spiritual journey in your own way, on your own terms.

Ever thought about going to live somewhere completely different and trying a new way of life? Well, Mario Calabria did just that. He graduated college from Michigan Tech and decided to set sail for Galway, Ireland.
In this episode, Mario talks about his story leading up to that decision, his experiences abroad, and ultimately why he decided to come back home. He also shares his experiences biking the entire western coast of Ireland, working on a vineyard in Italy, and more.
Mario is part of an intentional community I have formed in my life called the Daydreamers, and I will continue to share his stories throughout this podcast because his stories inspire me to live an extraordinary life. I hope they inspire you to do the same.

What does it look like to have real community in your life? The Okinawans of Japan have one method they use called a Moai. A moai is a lifelong group of friends that provide support in many ways: social, health, financial, and spiritual. The key word there is lifelong. They commit to this group bond for life.
My friends and I formed a "westernized moai" and this episode documents our experiences doing that, the purpose it has brought to our lives, and how you could go about experimenting building your own.

Why do we not train our minds like we train our bodies? Mental fitness is something not often discussed.
There is so much research around meditation and mindfulness practices and the positive effect they have on our capacity to live an extraordinary life.
This episode is a Meditation 101 about what I have learned so far on my meditation journey, and I focus on providing foundational knowledge and motivation to encourage you to give it a try. I think no one can be forced to meditate - they must want to do it. Providing knowledge is the first step to having a desire.
Here is what is covered in the episode: how I came to start meditating, mindfulness, loving kindness, gratitude, analytical, and breathing meditation.
If you are interested in learning more, message me. I have a list of great resources.
