Have you watched this week’s YouTube video? I would recommend watching it as it’s a really interesting one. I taught a symposium in Idaho late last year and I had a super student on a Lusitano and he started anticipating. So I shared how we worked with him when he started to anticipate the canter transition.
If you have a horse that starts anticipating and getting tense, it can be hard. I would recommend working on some circles and patterns and focusing on tempo. Dressage is definitely the hardest sport!
I also shared an update about Harvey, he’s going to stay with my mom in Colorado for a year to have a break and just hang out in the pasture for a year.
I want to remind you all to love and cherish your horses and appreciate every day you have with them.
