Last week our favourite automotive venue celebrated its 3rd Birthday. Caffeine & Machine has been an integral part of the global motoring scene since 2015, however in 2018, in a small village in the middle of England, it became a physical presence.
On October 27th 2018, Caffeine & Machine (the location) was born, and our very own John Marcar was there from the beginning, offering support to his two new friends, Phil & Dan on the opening weekend. Three years on, John sits down with the two business owners to talk about the highs and lows of the brand since opening its doors. The evolvement, the adaptations, the exhilaration and the nightmares... in this chat, we work through it all.
Regardless of whether or not you have been able to visit the venue in person, you, as a regular listener, will have experienced the brand in one shape or form through our weekly podcasts and radio shows. It's our most regular recording venue that we are absolutely honoured to be a small part of most Tuesday afternoons.

This week on the Driven Chat Podcast, we're focussing on Bond Cars! Hurrah!
Recorded almost a year before publishing, Amy Shore and John Marcar sat down with the author Ben Robinson, who wrote the book '50 Greatest Bond Cars'. We unfold our inner depths of 'car-movie-geekery' as we work through some of the most iconic bond cars and unearthing Bens intricate involvement in the placement of vehicles in the James Bond films.
Before diving into the podcast with Ben, John talks to a new voice but a significant person to the DC podcast, Tom Kent. Tom is our audio producer for the Driven Chat Podcast and radio show, but also happens to work on audio production for... you guessed it James Bond films! Tom shares some industry tales from the world of production and explains how he ended up getting some questionable scars from his involvement with one particular production of a car advert...
Ben Robinson's book is available to purchase in all good bookshops right now!

This week we're doing something a little different. John Marcar and Andy Jaye step away from the studio and leave Amy Shore to fly solo for her very own podcast episode.
Amy has recently embarked on her very own workshop business alongside her partner William Heynes. In this episode, Amy and Will talk about the challenges of starting this new venture and why the car they have decided to focus on is so significant to them personally - the Jaguar E-Type.
William Heynes offers a wonderful overview of his family connection to Jaguar Cars along with a fascinating insight into the history of the iconic E-Type, C-Type and D-Type plus XK120 and 140 models. This podcast explores the raw passion, excitement and apprehension between Amy and William that comes with starting up a specialist workshop in the current ever-evolving automotive world.

This week the Driven Chat Podcast comes to you from Sleeping With Art - a new event celebrating automotive art! We have three chats for the price of one this week where we talk to three very different artists exhibiting their work at the event.
First up is Jean-Yves Tabourot, who is known now as a painter of beautiful and iconic cars but previously was an engineer for Williams Racing, where he was involved in building racing cars and film cars. The significant car he was involved in was the Jaguar CX75 - the villain car in the James Bond Spectre film. Jean-Yves talks about his direct involvement in building the CX75 and how it was used whilst filming Spectre.
Our second guest is Jonny Ambrose, an artist and sculptor celebrated for creating some of the most fantastic works of art, showcasing the shapes and forms of some of the most iconic cars and racing cars we all know and love. Jonny talks about his processes, his methods and his journey as an artist.
Our third and final guest is Etienne Salome, a car designer responsible for helping create some of the ultimate flagship cars whilst working for Bugatti. Leaving behind the world of EB110's and Veyrons, Etienne now designs yachts and limited production automobiles such as the Arkonic Land Rover Defender 90.
Don't forget! You can email the show via [email protected] or DM us on your preferred social media feed (@DrivenChat) to speak to the team!

This week on the Driven Chat Podcast, Andy Jaye, Amy Shore, and John Marcar talk to one of the worlds most influential fashion and automotive photographers Camilo Rios aka RIOCAM.
RIOCAM is known by many for staging shoots with some of the worlds most iconic cars, often with a long pair of legs waving out of the windows. Recent shoots have seen a White Ferrari Testa Rossa, a pink Porsche 993 GT, a bright yellow Lamborghini Diablo SV, and a Dakar spec Porsche 911 SC all supporting a pair of legs from the window.
In this conversation, RIOCAM explains the process behind his work which many now regard as fine art. We also hear about the unique printing processes that mean more to his work than visual aspects.
This podcast was recorded at The Sleeping with Art Event in Hereford, and you can hear even more content from the event next week in an additional podcast from the show.

Recorded on Friday 17th (on the morning of the first day of the three-day event), Andy, John, and Amy sit in the auction surrounded by a collection of spectacular cars before enjoying a tour of some of the most iconic vehicles before they go under the hammer in the Bonhams Marquee.

This week, John and Amy get down to the details on the world of classic cars and ask questions such as; 'will classics be as loved in the future as they are now?' and 'Why are some people put off the idea of owning a classic car?'
Fortunately, they are joined for this week's podcast by the MD of the SL Shop, Sam Bailey, who brings his passion and expertise in the automotive industry and classic car market.
The SL Shop is the go-to place for Mercedes Benz SL owners, buyers and lovers of some of the most iconic Mercedes Benz cars. Besides covering plenty of general conversation about owning and driving classics, Sam also gives his expert insight into buying, owning and running an SL.
