John Mayhead is the editor of the UK Hagerty Price Guide and has the enviable task of tracking and reporting classic car values on behalf of the insurance and automotive lifestyle brand, Hagerty.
This incredible job brings with it some incredible stories, many of which you'll hear in this chat. Be warned; the episode brings some bittersweet emotions, such as John Marcar's realisation that he probably won't ever be able to afford a Ferrari F40. Amy also attempts some accidental insider trading (almost! - don't worry, legal folk - it doesn't work!)

This week on the Driven Chat Podcast, John Marcar and Amy Shore are joined by script editor and author Richard Porter.
Richard Porter is perhaps most famously known as the scriptwriter for Clarkson, Hammond and May for BBC Top Gear and Amazon's The Grand Tour. More controversially, he was a secret satirist for the automotive world through his mysterious yet frankly brilliant website - SNIFFPETROL.com - a website that ultimately granted his career in the TV world.
In this chat, Richard unearths the early days of his career with the most fantastic tangents and anecdotes... including a story about being filmed by John Bentley in a mobile phone shop in the late 1990s. Later we hear some incredible stories through the timeline of his work with Clarkson, Hammond and May.

Andy Wilman is the vital 4th name to be added on to the highly esteemed Clarkson, Hammond & May. As one of the creators and the executive producer of Top Gear from 2002 onwards, he has been celebrated as one of the great brains that created and managed one of the most loved TV shows for petrol heads. Of course, beyond Top Gear at the BBC, Wilman went on to executive produce Clarkson, Hammond and May's next production - The Grand Tour and Wilman frequently pops up on the show as nothing more than a name; 'Mr Wilman' in the form of written instructions and challenges via text messages to the presenters' phones.
In this exclusive chat with Andy Jaye, Andy Wilman shares some of the lesser-known stories, anecdotes and behind the scenes tales (of which there are many!) whilst producing our favourite car shows.

Lotus Managing Director Matt Windle joins us as a special guest for this week's Driven Chat Podcast in conversation with Andy Jaye and John Marcar.
Joining us on the show for a second time, Matt brings us up to speed on Lotus as a brand, teases us with some intel on future models and shares his excitement for the Radford Type 62-2, which happened to be testing on-site on the very same day that we were recording.
Before diving into the conversation with Matt Windle, John Marcar and Amy Shore have a brief catch up to talk about Amy's recent work trip to Sri Lanka and... her new car with a currently very odd name...

Fifth Gear is back! And it's been... recharged! This week, on the Driven Chat Podcast, Andy Jaye and John Marcar talk to a collection of the hosts from 5th Gear Recharged. Jason Plato, Rory Reid, Grace Webb & Vicky Butler-Henderson.
In this collection of conversations, we speak to Jason Plato, who talks about his racing career and offers a brutally honest opinion on EV's. We then talk to Rory Reid, who is new to Fifth Gear, coming from Top Gear, along with Grace Webb, famously known for her children's show Grace's Amazing Machines. The two new faces explain what they're bringing to the show by explaining EV tech and reassuring concerns around things like range anxiety. Our last segment is with the legendary Vicky Butler-Henderson, a pinnacle in the world of automotive journalism for so many... (including our very own John Marcar!)

Jimmy de Ville is a face many will know through various car-based TV shows, including Scrap Heap Challenge, Goblin Works Garage and many more. He's also been responsible for behind the scenes car builds on shows we all know and love, such as Top Gear & The Grand Tour - which includes a car made almost entirely out of animal bones and meat.
In this week's conversation recorded at the Classic Car Show at the NEC, Andy, Amy & John take a deep dive into the man that is Jimmy, his military background and some of the fantastic adventures that he's undertaken in his career. This is an excellent chat that even touches on some mental health topics, some of which may prove helpful.
As ever, you can contact the show via email, [email protected] or slip into our DM's via your preferred @DrivenChat social feed, and we'll address your letters, messages and comments in a future podcast!

This week on the Driven Chat podcast, the team reassemble for the first time in a few weeks! Andy Jaye, Amy Shore and John Marcar are all back in the studio truck parked up at Caffeine & Machine, and they bring with them a special guest - Road Rat Magazine Editor - Mikey Harvey.
Mikey shares some fantastic stories of his time in the editorial world, including how he was fired from Autocar magazine in the 1990s, which ultimately led him to develop his own printed magazine in a world of digital media. Mikey tells us all about his journey to his latest publication, including tales featuring automotive household names and some advice for anyone looking to pursue a similar career.
Before diving into the chat, Andy, Amy and John catch up on their latest news and touch on the increasingly sore subject of the last chapter of ‘exciting engines’. Plus, we give our sister podcast, YouTube channel and radio a little plug, all of which can be found via the info below:
As ever, thank you for listening, sharing and for your very kind reviews
