Attorney General Bill Barr is still bogarting the Mueller report, but Julie & Brandy do their best to make a meal out of it. They recap Barr's most recent public statement, before breaking down Trump's alleged ties to the Russian mafia, aka the Russian government. After slogging thru three decades of Trump's history with Russian gangsters, they switch topics to Trump's favorite congressional gangster, Mitch McMconnell. Lamenting the nightmare that America can't wake up from, the girls tell the tale of Mitch McConnell using the "nuclear option" to circumvent democracy and fulfill the Republican agenda of power at all costs. It's all very hopeless, but Julie closes it out with an important message from Meghan McCain, which is just the levity the country needs right now.

There couldn't be a better follow-up to the TRUMPGATE episode, than the Mueller Report finally dropping. Except the only person who has been allowed to read Special Council Robert Mueller's final report is the US Attorney General, Bill Barr. He sped-read it in two days, and wrote a 4 page summary that basically says there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. And though Julie & Brandy are confused and horrified (like everyone else), all they can do is have a drink and hope for the best. So, that's just what they do.

This is the first (and only?) installment of the Dumb Gay Politics; Icon Series.  Some guests are just so iconic that they require a whole episode dedicated to them, and Bill Browder is one such guest. He's been called Putin's #1 enemy and his name is synonymous with Russian sanctions. In 2012, Bill Browder created and helped to pass the ubiquitous Magnitsky Act, which prevents Russian human rights violators from entering or investing money in the U.S.  This conversation can only be classified as "pinnacles" for this podcast, and no matter what side of the aisle you're on, we can certainly all agree that Bill Browder is an American Icon.

Another week, another tell-all book about Trump makes the rounds. This time, a former aide recounts his 500 days working inside the Trump White House with a "Team of Vipers."  Julie & Brandy are lazy, so they call on the Dumb Gay Politics resident book-reader, Anne Morris, to do the heavy lifting. But it's not all viper-flavored tea. The girls also dissect the confusing catastrophe of Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam, and Judge Julie stops by to sentence Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to several seats. It's not the greatest episode of all time, but it's guaranteed to be more interesting than the Super Bowl.
