Welcome to THE PICKLE JAR PODCAST another AMAZING episode to INSPIRE those living with adrenal insufficiency. Allyson is less than ONE year into her journey with Addison's disease and has already established a positive outlook and resumed a fully active life. She acknowledges that she has a lot to learn with living with Addison's disease but her mindset of TAKE THINGS AS THEY COME is a needed reminder for all of us living with a chronic illness.
Her story begins in the midst of the pandemic and when life began to 'go back to normal routines' Allyson's body was quick to signal to her that something was not right on the inside. She acted on her instinct and investigated further. With a medical team that did blood work for cortisol and sodium...her considering low levels quickly had her to an endocrinologist for answers. And the answer was ADDISON'S.
Listen to Allyson as she shares her inspiring story of hope and her positive outlook on living life with Addison's disease.
