Imogene was diagnosed with PRIMARY ADDISON DISEASE in 2020 at 15 years via ZOOM and on DAY 1 of pandemic lock down.
Her diagnosis journey started a year early with intense muscle cramping. Being a competitive mountain biker her activity and newly diagnosed thyroid issues seemed to be a logical answer.
No solution was helping and with an emotional situation her body was PUSHED TOO FAR. Quick diagnosis from her endocrinologist who listened to her symptoms and asked the right questions.
In the midst of this, she found her faith, found her community, found immense LOVE in her life.
Imogene recognizes this will be continuing learning and adapting with her Addison's Disease and that she will have to make important decisions in her life with her health at her main priority.
She was put on a path she was not expecting but her positive mindset she acknowledges her Addison's Disease is "BEAUTIFUL IN IT'S OWN WAY".
