Being diagnosed with Addison's Disease no one tells you about the crippling FEAR that comes with it. The feeling of having your life stolen from you and now you are left in a world of pre-planning your now seemingly unpredictable, inflexible life that can change hour by hour.
Soon you are in a miserable existence of life with Addison's disease and the fear and negative chatter in your head makes it easier just to stay home.
Overcoming that chatter and fear is what Deborah did. She climbed each ADDISON'S MOUNTAIN she confronted determined to reset, reevaluate and stop living life in fear.
She wanted friends, laughter, and sunsets...she was determined to LIVE with Addison's Disease.
Deborah was our guest in E153 - Invisible Illness -Steroids Won't Cure Our Illness and E154 - Rebuilding Her Strength were she read some of her emotional writing about being diagnosed with Addison's Disease in 2020.
She is sharing with us more of her writing that expresses her thoughts and emotions at that time in her new journey with Addison's Disease. Reflecting back now she is amazed at the mountains she has climbed and has regained back her life that she once thought was stolen by Addison's Disease.
