Warping ahead five years, the second film in the pairing suggested by our Patreon family member, Tim, it's a completely different kind of love story! Directed by Julien Temple, 1988's "Earth Girls are Easy" follows another valley girl, Valerie (Geena Davis), who is in a passionless relationship with local doctor Ted (Charles Rocket) when a UFO lands in her swimming pool, containing three furry extraterrestrial dudes on the lookout for hot women: Zeebo (Damon Wayans), Wiploc (Jim Carrey), and their leader Mac (Jeff Goldblum). After making first contact, Valerie takes them in and decides to help them look more human, enlisting the aid of her friend and fellow cosmetician Candy (Julie Brown, in her on-screen debut) to de-fur-i-fy them. Sparks begin to fly between Valerie and Mac, while Zeebo and Wiploc make friends with Valerie's pool man Woody (Michael McKean) and end up getting up to all sorts of mischief. And just when it looks like things will turn out for the best, Ted resurfaces and attempts to rekindle things with Valerie! Who will she end up with?
