Eavesdroppin'

If you were going to hide a dead body somewhere, would you put it in your kitchen freezer? Hard to believe but it seems like there are a LOT of people out there doing exactly that and this week on Eavesdroppin’, Geordie & Michelle take a look at a few cases of bodies in the deep freeze, kicking off with the skeletons that have been found in the Swiss Alps... Now that climate change has melted all the glaciers, the receding glaciers have revealed not just bones and human remains but also airplane wreckage from a missing plane from 1968! Tune in to find out more about the bodies found on the glaciers near Zermatt…

Michelle then goes on to discuss some TRUE CRIME, aka, bodies found in freezers and honestly, she’s shocked by the sheer number people thinking they can get away with storing a dismembered body near the frozen peas in the freezer. TRIGGER WARNING people – this ep can get a little grizzly…

When Ohio resident Ken Eschenbaugh let a friend store his chest freezer in his basement until said friend’s electricity was restored, he thought he was just helping a mate out of a bind... until the day his wife Jill went to borrow some mince and instead found a freezer full of black bin bags. Listen now to find out who was in the freezer, how they got there and who eventually went to prison. We hope you enjoy this week’s episode and remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin’!

What would you do if someone you trusted told you that you were being hunted by freemasons and the lives of you and your family were in danger? This week on Eavesdroppin’, Geordie does a deep dive into a crazy story she heard about when she was holidaying in a small village in France that includes French aristocracy, cults, scams, tricksters, freemasons and a Machiavellian fraudster who fleeced a family of everything they’ve ever owned…

In 1999, 48-year-old law-school dropout Thierry Tilly befriended Ghislaine de Védrines, a French aristocrat running a secretarial school in Paris. By 2001, after gaining the trust of Ghislaine and her family, he slowly began to convince them that the lives of the entire family were in danger from freemasons and that they must all become recluses and give him all their money… Well it’s a bit more complicated than that but if you want to know more, you’re going to have to listen to the episode to find out how it all went down!

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

Eavesdroppers… we predict there’s going to be an episode on PREMONITIONS!! And what do you know, this week on Eavesdroppin’, Geordie & Michelle talk about some pretty spooky stuff to do with premonitions, national disasters, murder, ghosts and more…

Have you ever had a strong feeling that something bad was about to happen? Adrienne Fields did… This week Michelle talks about Adrienne’s story and the horrific murders of Christine Wu and Wendie Prescott in Arlington, Texas, in 1995… Who was the Bathtub Killer? How did he get caught? What has true crime, murder, and a serial rapist have to do with premonitions? Michelle also talks about the true-crime case of Teresita Basa… Back in 1977, the body of Teresita Basa was found under a mattress in her apartment after it went up in flames. But was it just an accidental fire or was Teresita the victim of foul play? This incredible story takes some crazy supernatural twists and turns as Michelle uncovers how the ghost of a murdered woman helped catch her killer. Listen now to find out how…

Geordie then talks about an incredible chapter in British history where, in response to people having vivid premonitions ahead of the Aberfan coal-mining town disaster in 1966, a psychiatrist called John Barker set up the now defunct British Premonitions Bureau. Could the Aberfan disaster have been averted? Did people really have foreboding visions and predictions of what was about to happen? How amazing is it that John Barker set up a British databank for all the nations dreams and visions to help prevent national disasters! Listen now to hear more about it and the sad and spooky ending to Geordie’s story…

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

Hello Eavesdroppers! Do you know what an incel is? If you don’t, you will by the end of the episode as Geordie deep dives into the murky world of incel murders… Incel stands for Involuntary Celibacy and incel men are generally women-hating racists who don’t like Chads and Stacys (good looking men and women). With that in mind, Geordie takes a look at three incel rampages where men and women were murdered along with common court defences where incel men blame their behavior on aspergers or autism… Take a listen and let us know what you think.

Michelle then looks at a meeeeeerrrrrrder… in particular, the 1970s East London cold case of Eve Stratford, the Playboy bunny who was murdered in cold blood in her home and whose killer has never been found… Listen now to hear this tragic true-crime case alongside some chilling theories and a connection to another murdered woman, teenager Lynne Weedon…

And last of all a big shout out to Eavesdropper Lucy Beacon for her crazy pet stories and for being the inspiration behind the East London cold case portion of this podcast! Have you got a funny pet story to share? Do get in touch! [email protected] or on any of the socials.

RARE SIGHTINGS & MYSTERIOUS CREATURES: The Wessex Way Monster, The Montauk Monsters, Yetis, chupacabras and more!

You don’t have long left to VOTE FOR US AT THE BRITISH PODCAST AWARDS: https://www.britishpodcastawards.com/vote

Have you ever seen something than you just can’t explain? This week on Eavesdroppin’ podcast, Geordie & Michelle talk all about rare, mysterious sightings! Yes, we’ve got all sorts of crazy talk going on about mysterious creatures, aliens, genetic mutants and more!

What is the Wessex Way Monster? Is it an animal? Is it a feral human? Could it be a Chupacabra? Or a skinwalker? Why are we talking about Ben Mendelsohn (again)? What is The Rake? Is The Rake fake? And why are time slips mentioned? Could the Wessex Way Monster be a lost alien? Or is it just a deer? Or just a big ol’ hoax… you decide!

We then move on to talking about Montauk Monsters, which gets darker than you might imagine… In 2008 in Montauk, a bizarre looking creature washed up on the shores of a local beach. Since then, there have been loads of strange looking genetic mutants washing up on beaches with no explanation… Or is there? Could these beasts be connected to biological warfare experiments at Plum Island? What does Project Paperclip. MK Ultra and Nazi scientists have to do with anything? Who is Erich Traub? Why is US Homeland Security messing with animals? And could these Frankenstein animals just be dead raccoons? Listen to find out!

Michelle then talks about a YouTube video that captures a weird insect on video… It’s not a stick insect, it’s not a mosquito, it's not a dragonfly… What the heck is this flying humanoid thing? Could it be a fairy? Or an alien? You’ll have to watch (spoiler – Geordie’s a sceptic!). We then wrap up with a couple of Yeti sightings, including a yeti spotted at a Formigal ski resort in the Pyrenees and a Russian yeti expedition that claims to have footage of an actual yeti!

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

ALIEN VISITATION: Whitley Strieber’s real-life story behind the best-selling book Communion, anal probes, the Chris Dawson case and more!

You don’t have long left to VOTE FOR US AT THE BRITISH PODCAST AWARDS: https://www.britishpodcastawards.com/vote

Hello, Eavesdroppers! After a quick update on the Chris Dawson / Lynette Dawson case that has Australia gripped right now, Geordie’s in the hot seat this week, talking all about the author Whitely Strieber! You might know some of his work – The Hunger, The Wolfen – but what Geordie’s talking about today is his classic NON-FICTION book called Communion… You know the one… it’s got that picture of an alien on the cover with big feline eyes and a long pointy face. Well, if not, you’re going to hear all about it along with a few theories as to how this real-life story could possibly be a real-life story…  So on Boxing Day in 1985, Whitley Strieber says he was visited by aliens… The result? The book Communion! Was Whitely Strieber’s cabin really visited by aliens? Did he and his family actually see aliens that night? What are the greys? Are Whitley Strieber’s hypnosis sessions recovered memories or is it all just fiction? Had he been experimented on by aliens? Did he attend Alien School? Is he mad? What’s all this about lost time? Are we the lab rats? Was it all just a big PR stunt? You decide!

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

Hello, Eavesdroppers! This week, Michelle drops a bombshell on Geordie about last week’s episode, where we learn some interesting news about the former professional skater turned killer Gator Rogowski and his current situation… Followed by a chat about head injuries and the mysterious deaths of 22 teenagers in a nightclub in East London (no, not Dalston but South Africa)... All before she gets to Mysterious Mysteries! In particular, the chilling stories of kids who go missing in the wilderness…

You’re out in remote woodlands, wild camping and having fun, when your child suddenly vanishes, often within moments of being seen, as if a giant pencil came down from the sky and erased them off the face of the Earth. That’s what Geordie’s talking about in this episode, including the disappearance of Deorr Kunz Jnr from Timber Creek, Idaho, Bobby Bizup from the Rocky Mountains, Jaryd Atadero from Colorado and more. Listen in to find out  about these mysterious vanishings, what happened to these kids and Michelle’s theory (ie, aliens).

Michelle then discusses the case of Warren Jeffs – the controversial cult leader of FLDS, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and some mysterious deaths an ex cult member called Briell Decker claims happened while she was in the church. Listen in to discover more about Briell’s story, staged deaths, Warren Jeffs and the horrific crimes he committed, the fact Michelle didn’t know there was a documentary about the guy called Keep Sweet, Pray and Obey on Netflix, Blood Atonement, The Law of Sarah, aliens and more!

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

Hello, Eavesdroppers! Thanks for joining us for another True Crime episode. This week, we start off with an update on the Australian murder case that's currently in the courts: the disappearance of Lynette Dawson. Geordie & Michelle discuss how the case against Lyn Dawson's husband Chris Dawson is progressing and shed some light on events that have now been admitted into evidence...

Michelle then delves into a Canberra Hometown Murder from the 1980s - the mysterious disappearance of Canberra teenager Liz Herfort. Why didn't Liz get a bus home from the UNI bar the night of June 13 1980? Did she hitchhike? Was she arguing with a man in a hat on the side of the road? Why would someone make up a story about abducting her? Who is Harry the Hat? And could a serial killer be responsible? Listen to find out!

Geordie then talks about the time Patricia Arquette revealed the worst date she's ever been on, which turned out to be with an ex pro skater... Who is Mark Gator Rogowski? Why did he end up murdering his ex-girlfriend Brandi McClain's friend Jessica Bergsten? Was it a revenge killing? How do Michelle and Geordie end up talking about the Canberra Uni Bar? And what's Heidi Fleiss got to do with it? Get listening to learn more!

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

My God, it’s full of stars… Thanks Hal… How beautiful is that? Yes, this week we get sciencey and oh, how our minds are scrambled! This episode Geordie & Michelle look at quantum-y things like the multiverse, time travel and more, starting with Geordie’s revelation about a super hungry Super Massive Black Hole that’s been discovered by Australian scientists. Apparently it eats the equivalent of one Earth every second  - WHAT?! - and it shines 7,000 times brighter than all the light from our own galaxy. Plus she natters about 2001: A Space Odyssey, an interstellar object floating randomly in space called Oumuamua, a fascinating Time Slip incident in Liverpool plus Michelle compares the multiverse theory to a giant eating a Malteser. Tune in to hear all this and more!

What would you change if you could go back in time? What kind of life you could have had if only you'd made even one different decision? These questions and more were inspired by Michelle reading How To Stop Time by Matt Haig, which is a gorgeous time-skipping novel about the power of love and the point of living, which Michelle basically reviews in this episode.  She then talks about The Midnight Library, another Matt Haig book, about a place between life and death where you can try on different lives the way you’d try on a coat… Michelle then gets very confused about Einstein’s time-travel theory that’s part of his special relativity theory and time dilation, but she has some interesting info about time gain and GPS satellites. She also discusses some real-life time travellers and  about what she might change if only she’d bought those 9 Bitcoins…

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!

STRANGER THINGS ORIGIN STORY, MK ULTRA, CIA MIND CONTROL EXPERIMENTS, CAMP HERO, THE MONTAUK PROJECT, LYNETTE DAWSON, THE CHRIS DAWSON CASE & MORE!

Hello Eavesdroppers! This episode we start off with a bit of a true-crime recap of a controversial Australian missing-persons case that’s currently in the courts, followed by conspiracy theories and mind-control stories so buckle up and get ready to Eavesdrop!

This episode we start off with an update on the Chris Dawson case, which blew up when Australian podcast Teacher’s Pet investigated a paedophile ring and the disappearance-slash-suspected murder of Lynette Dawson. Michelle gives you a quick overview of the case and an update on some new evidence that’s come to light before getting into the origin story of hit TV series Stranger Things…

Yes, that’s right, the creepy supernatural thriller is supposedly based on true-life incidents. Can you believe it? We couldn’t! So… Who is Christopher Garetano? What is Camp Hero? Is there a disused secret underground mind-control lab in Montauk? And what is the Montauk Project? Were hundreds of thousands of kids abducted and experimented on in the 1970s and 1980s? Is it all a conspiracy theory? Or are the events true? You might not get any answers but listen in now to make up your own mind!

So, back in the 1950s, when the US government believed that Russia had developed ways to control people’s minds, the CIA decided to embark on their own mind-control methods and created a top-secret Cold War initiative named MK Ultra. Basically, they illegally experimented on people to see if the mind could be wiped, reprogrammed, controlled and more… What are the MKUltra mind control experiments? Did the CIA recruit Nazi torturers? Was LSD used as a ‘truth serum’? Why were people illegally experimented on? Were people murdered? What is the sleep room? Why is crime boss Whitey Bulger mixed up in all this? Why was all the evidence wiped about the MK Ultra experiments? And how is this connected to Guantanamo torture? Listen in to find out.

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode – and wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!
