In today's episode herbalist and midwife Tamara Hiller teaches us about herbs for Pain relief. From Poppy Seed to Willow bark, some of these have inspired the pharmaceutical drugs that we have available today. Drugs work great, but they have side effects. Taking herbs in their natural form, straight from nature is not only safer but also very effective if taken in the right way and dosage. Nobody should have to suffer, so this is a timeless skill to learn for every human on this planet! Imagine, next time you have a friend over and she asks you for a pill for her headache or period cramps, you can offer her a tea and she will be introduced into the amazing world of Medicinal Herbs and their effectiveness! Of course is makes a difference what type of pain is present and what is the root cause. Is it tension, an infection, or inflammation? Depending on this it's possible to choose the right herb, and Tamara introduces you to many of them, some popular like Cannabis and CDB Oil, others more obscure and underrated like Piscidia (Jamaican Dogwood), Dipsacus and Butterbur. And others you know well, but wouldn't have thought they can help with pain like Cayenne, Arnica, Ginger, Green Tea, Valerian, Turmeric and common nutritive supplements like Magnesium and Vitamin D.
