Over the weekend, many euro fans travelled to Barcelona, Spain for the first pre-party of the season - Barcelona Eurovision Party! Across the three day event, Eurovision stars past and present kicked off the next chapter of the Eurovision season and Conor was there to capture it all! Mae Muller is unveiled as the UK act + Greece, Portugal and Azerbaijan release their songs!We're back with another episode this week as we're only two songs away from completing the class of 2023. In this episode, it's gonna be Mae! Mae Muller specifically. Last week, the BBC announced that Mae Muller would represent the United Kingdom with her pop banger, 'I Wrote A Song'. She'll represent her country with the song, 'Ai coração'. March 09, 2023Ireland's 'We Are One' revamp unveiled + Israel, Switzerland, Cyprus, Austria release reaction!We're back with another episode this week as the class of 2023 gets closer and closer to being completed. In this episode, we share our opinions on the newly revamped version of Ireland's 2023 entry - 'We Are One' from Wild Youth. The revamp was unveiled alongside a music video during the week. Has the revamp elevated the song more? Can Ireland make it to the Grand Final? Listen to hear our thoughts! Also on this episode, another four countries have unveiled their songs for ESC 2023. First up, Cyprus internally selected Andrew Lambrou and his song, 'Break a Broken Heart'. Lambrou previously tried to represent Australia in 2022, finishing in 7th place in Australia Decides. Switzerland continued their internal selection method which has seen them successfully qualify for the final every year since 2019. Hoping to continue that record in 2023 will be Remo Forrer with his song, 'Watergun'. Austria had the entire fandom gripped over the last number of weeks following the announcement that Teya and Salena would be representing the country. Their song, 'Who the hell is Edgar?' has rocked the fandom (in a good way) by getting every shouting 'POE POE POE' all day! Finally, mystical creatures are on the agenda for Israel this year. Following the announcement way back in August 2022, Israeli pop-star Noa Kirel has been working away on her 2023 entry for her country. Has it lived up to the hype? March 07, 2023Eurovision 2023 tickets go on sale + Netherlands, Germany, Iceland, Serbia and Moldova reveal their songs!We're getting closer and closer to having all this years competing songs! In this episode, Lou and Conor share their opinions on the latest batch of released entries. The Netherlands have enlisted 2019 winner, Duncan Laurence to write the song - 'Burning Daylight' alongside singers Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper. On Friday, Germany held their national final - Unser Lied für Liverpool - which saw rock/metal group Lord of the Lost win with 'Blood and Glitter'. Saturday evening saw three national finals come to a close as Iceland's Söngvakeppnin, Serbia's Pesma Za Evroviziju, and Moldova's Etapa Naţională revealed their winners. Pasha Parfeni returns as Moldova's representative - 11 years after he last represented his country. He'll perform his song, 'Soarele şi Luna'. Serbia continues its streak of quirky entries with Luke Black's 'Samo Mi Se Spava'. Iceland has decided it's got the power with Diljá and her song (yes you guessed it), 'Power'. Also, tickets for Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool finally go on sale! We share a few tips from our own experience.
