February 28, 2023Eurovision 2023 hosts revealed + Four more songs unveiled!In this week's episode of Éirevision, Conor and Lou share their thoughts on our Eurovision Song Contest 2023 hosts: Eurovision legend Graham Norton, Ukrainian singer, composer and frontwoman of The HARDKISS alternative band, Julia Sanina, Emmy Award-winning actress, Hannah Waddingham, and singer-songwriter, pop star and TV presenter, Alesha Dixon. Also on the show, we've officially got over half of our songs for Eurovision 2023! This week saw Australia unveil Voyager and their song 'Promise' as their act for this year. Finland's Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2023 took place with Käärijaä crowned the winner with his song, 'Cha Cha Cha'. Una Voce Per San Marino was won by Italian band, Piqued Jacks. They'll represent the micro-state of San Marino with 'Like an Animal'. Finally, Poland's controversial Tu Bije serce Europy saw Blanka win with 'Solo'. February 21, 2023It's Monika Linkytė for Lithuania & La Zarra for France + K Muni & ND stop by!It was another busy weekend as two more songs were revealed for Eurovision 2023! First up, Monika Linkytė was crowned the champion of Pabandom iš Naujo 2023 with her song, 'Stay'. She'll be representing Lithuania for the second time (her first being in 2015 alongside Vaidas Baumila). Also, we finally got to hear internally selected La Zarra's song for France as 'Évidemment' was unveiled. Does it live up to the high expectations or should France have stuck to their national final, 'C'est Vous Qui Décidez'? Also on the show, Eurosong 2023 finalists K Muni & ND stop by for a catch-up. They spill the details on Eurosong, the national finals they've been tuning into, and whether or not they'd return to Eurosong in the future. February 14, 2023Our Super Saturday Recap!February 11th saw SEVEN national finals come to an end as fans across the world sat down with multiple screens to catch all the action on Super Saturday. In this episode, Louise and Conor review all seven entries which have been added to the class of 2023. Across the weekend, Estonia's Eesti Laul 2023 saw ALIKA crowned the winner with her song, 'Bridges'. Denmark's Melodi Grand Prix was won by TikTok sensation Reiley and his song, 'Breaking My Heart'. Over in Romania, Theodor Andrei's 'D.G.T.' came out on top in Selecția Națională 2023. Croatia shocked the Eurovision fandom as Dora 2023 saw Let 3 win the ticket to Liverpool with their song, 'Mama ŠČ'. After weeks of shows, Malta's Eurovision Song Contest was won by The Busker with their bop, 'Dance (Our Own Party)' and Latvia choose Sudden Lights Aijā and their song, 'Aijā'. Finally, in the early hours of Sunday morning, Italy's Sanremo 2023 came to an end as Marco Mengoni was crowned the winner with his song, 'Due Vite'. Marco confirmed his intention to represent Italy at Eurovision this year again after he represented his country exactly ten years ago in Denmark. February 10, 2023Spain's Benidorm Fest & Norway's MGP 2023 come to an end + Slovenia reveal their entry!The national finals are coming fast! Three more songs join the line-up for Eurovision 2023 as Spain, Norway, and Slovenia reveal their entries! In Spain, the second year of Benidorm Fest came to and end as Blanca Paloma was crowned the winner with her song, 'Eaea'. On the same night, Norway's Melodi Grand Prix also came to an end as viral sensation Alessandra's 'Queen of Kings' won the ticket to Liverpool. Conor and Louise discuss each national final in-depth and give their opinions on all the competing songs in each final! Plus, Slovenia's Joker Out finally released their entry for Eurovision after they were confirmed as the representatives back in December. February 01, 2023Eurovision 2023 Semi-Final Allocation Draw Reaction + ESCZ 2023 Analysis!On Tuesday 31st January 2023, the semi-final allocation draw and handover ceremony took place in Liverpool. We found out which country will compete in which semi-final of the Contest when it takes place in May as well as deciding which Semi-Final the Big 5 (Spain, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy) and 2022 winners Ukraine will vote in. We also had the reveal of the 2023 slogan and artwork. This year, we'll be 'United by Music' in Liverpool!
