In this episode, Conor and Lou share their ratings for Austria (JJ - "Wasted Love"), Azerbaijan (Mamagama - "Run with U"), and Belgium (Red Sebastian - "Strobe Lights" ). 

As usual, we'll be giving our scores out of ten, alongside your scores which were submitted on Instagram. We'll be counting every single rating received to give us an average score. At the end of the series, we'll see who is the highest rated country, and who is bottom of our scoreboard. There is no criteria for our scores, just our overall vibe/feeling for the song!

First, we speak with Joshua Curran, an Irish-Czech singer-songwriter who has made history as the first Irishman to write a track for Armenia, "Survivor". Joshua shares insights into his creative process and what it means to contribute to another country's musical representation on such a grand stage.

Next, we chat with Ben Pyne, a Dublin-based songwriter who co-wrote Croatia's entry, "Poison Cake," performed by Marko Bošnjak. Ben discusses the collaborative effort behind the song and his excitement about being part of Croatia's Eurovision journey. Ben also shares details of his songwriting camp in Ireland, Views of the Valley.

Czechia is throwing the kitchen sink at their entry with ADONXS and his infectious Kiss Kiss Goodbye. It’s slick, confident, and made for the stage. If drama had a soundtrack, this would be it. Can they get back into the final with this entry?

Georgia is represented by Mariam Shengelia and her song, Freedom. Can they continue their qualification streak or is it back to the drawing board for the nation…

Cyprus gets flirty with Theo Evan’s Shh, a smooth and sultry number that knows exactly what it’s doing. It’s mysterious, it’s stylish. Though its called ’Shh’, there is nothing quiet about it!

Finally, France goes straight for the heart with Louane’s Maman. It’s tender, emotional, and beautifully understated. Bring tissues — or at least be ready to pretend you’re not crying. Can this finally bring the Eurovision trophy to France?

Denmark’s Sissal secured victory at Melodi Grand Prix 2025 with “Hallucination,” winning by just one point. The song is already making waves among Eurovision fans, but can she finally bring Denmark back to the Grand Final for the first time since 2019?

Germany’s national final, Chefsache ESC 2025, delivered “Baller” by Abor & Tynna. After years of struggle, has Germany finally found a formula that works? Will Lou give it the thumbs-up, or is it back to square one?
