Schmalbach, MD, MSc, is joined by senior author David Goldenberg, MD, to discuss role of estrogen in developing thyroid malignancy as outlined in the paper “Elevated Risk of Thyroid Malignancy in Biological Males Taking Estrogen Hormone Therapy” which published in the April 2025 issue of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. They talk about the risk of thyroid cancer for biological males taking estrogen compared to men not undergoing hormone therapy and women.
