On today's episode, Jason gets the party started by sharing his thoughts on Joel Embiid's decision to speak out yet again on his NBA MVP candidacy. It's odd that the Sixers big man has been so vocal about the award given that he's never even led a team out of the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Embiid should focus on winning playoff games, not MVPs. Later, our fearless leader takes Lamar Jackson to task a bit for trying to launch his new clothing brand on a janky new website. This just feels like a big time waste of time and energy. Speaking of Lamar, the Ravens quarterback publicly requested a trade out of Baltimore on Monday. The only problem is it's really hard to find a trade partner right now given what his asking price would be both in terms of draft assets to Baltimore and contract extension to Jackson. What makes the whole ordeal even more confusing is the teams that make the most sense (Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets) have publicly stated that they're not all that interested in making a move on Lamar. Finally, J-Mac reiterates once again why he's having a very hard time getting too hyped up about this weekend's NCAA Tournament Final Four.
