The federal Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA) was signed into law November 27, 2006. This law opens up many opportunities for investigators to work for attorneys defending those who are charged under the act, to work for agricultural businesses or pharmaceutical companies who may be targeted by activists, or for either the plaintiff or defense on a civil suit.
