  • Why Women Spiritual Entrepreneurs Burn Out

    Hello Empowered Wayers!

You didn’t start your business to get rich. You started because you felt called. You wanted to make a difference. To create healing. To help others wake up. And you’ve poured your heart into it.

If I looked into a mirror right now, these sentences describe me when I first started my business. I followed all the rules, the procedures, and the advice, but I was still tired. Not just physically. Soul-tired. (Everyone who relates, please raise your hand).

When you step away from your computer, knowing you have been consistent, followed all the recommended steps, and you still wonder: Why does this feel so hard? The answer isn’t in your effort or your hard work.

The answer lies in your energetic relationship with wealth.

You’re giving from depletion. Because you’ve been taught: that you have to earn love, you have to prove your value, it’s selfish to rest.

So you keep pouring and pouring and pouring—without receiving.

You can’t create true wealth from effort alone. Trying to effort your way to wealth is like a fish trying to climb a tree. It’s not how you are designed to interact with the energetic Universe that surrounds you.

What is your natural way to be wealthy?

    Wealth is More Than Money

The word “wealth” comes from an Old English word, “weal.” Eons ago, weal had a much broader meaning than your bank account. Centuries ago, weal = well-being.

What is well-being? Its when your energy is balanced across all aspects of you:

    * Mental

    * Emotional

    * Physical

    * Spiritual

    * Financial

When you try to create wealth from only one aspect (the mind), your attention is drawn away from the other areas. Imbalance happens quickly and everything feels wonky (yes, that is a word).

The shift happens when you allow yourself to receive from Source the guidance you need to continue. Contemplate sitting still for 20 minutes, asking the Universe to give you an answer to your dilemma. While you wait, focus on your breath and still your thoughts. Then wait until you know what to do.

The only effort required is to still your mind, breathe, and open your heart and soul. Your mind is the servant but thinks it is the master. When you return your mind to its proper place (execution, strategy, etc.) and you receive guidance from within, wealth flows into all areas of your life.

When you know that wealth is your natural energetic state of being, your soul dances. Instead of obstacles and problems, there are only opportunities to become more…

    * alive

    * present

    * visible

You allow the life force energy that animates all living things to animate you.

That’s why I call it Empowered Wealth Consciousness.

    Wealth is Energetic Reciprocity

Wealth as well-being is a cycle: giving → receiving → giving → receiving. When you block receiving, you cut off your nourishment and create imbalance.

You also miss out on experiencing a vibrant relationship with Source. When you are efforting your way to success, your ego steps in and claims to know all the answers. Source energy isn’t used and you continue to follow what your mind insists is the next step.

No wonder you’re tired. You’re trying to sustain your work without filling your own well.

It’s not selfish to receive. It’s not greedy to want more. Receiving is what allows you to keep giving.

When you step into Empowered Wealth Consciousness, you reclaim that balance. You stop hustling for love. You start creating from overflow.

And suddenly— your business stops feeling like a burden. It starts feeling like a blessing.

“You can’t pour from an empty cup. Receiving is sacred.”

    Reflection Prompt:

    * Where in your life are you giving without receiving?

    * What’s one small way you can allow yourself to receive this week?

    * What area of your life is out of balance? How can you step back and experience well-being in that area?

Please share in the comments—I’d love to celebrate with you.

    Blessings,

    Kathryn

  • The Price of Being Nice

    Hello Empowered Wayers

You may have noticed a shift in focus for this newsletter. I have renamed it “The Empowered Way Wealthletter.”

My mission is to help women spiritual entrepreneurs become profitable in their business. That sounds like an easy goal, but I personally know it is anything but easy. The hidden conflicts are multi-layered and subtle, which make it harder for women to see and transform.

One of the hardest conflicts to overcome is being nice.

Being Nice is a Feminine Trait that Hurts Your Business

You’ve always been the giver. The one who shows up. The one who holds space. You love what you do. It feels sacred to serve.

But when it’s time to set a price— your throat tightens.“I don’t want to be greedy.” “I just want to help.” “Who am I to charge that much?” So you lower the price. You throw in extra bonuses. You let clients delay payments. You tell yourself you’re being generous.

Deep down, it feels off. You feel resentful. You feel unseen. You feel tired.

Here’s the truth no one tells you: Undercharging isn’t generosity. It’s fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of being “too much.” Fear of being seen as selfish.

When you lower your price to be “nice,” you reinforce the belief that your gifts aren’t worth more. But they are. Your work is valuable. Your wisdom is transformative. And it’s okay to be paid well.

Your Pricing Says More About You than You Know

Pricing isn’t just a number. It’s a spiritual declaration. Every price communicates: This is what I’m willing to receive. This is what I believe I’m worth.

When you undercharge, you create an imbalance: giving more than you’re receiving. That imbalance drains you and it creates an energetic imbalance in your business.

When fear is ruling your pricing decisions, expect more fear. It’s a well-known law of the Universe. It’s also a scientific fact that as you see through the eyes of fear, your mind looks for more evidence to support fear. The reticular activation system in your brain is just doing it’s job to keep you safe.

But you are not a spiritual entrepreneur to stay safe. That is the last result you wanted when you started your bussiness, right?

Instead, you felt a strong call to be more and give more, from your heart and soul. Fear wasn’t part of your spiritual business plan.

How can you shift from fear to love?

Learn Your Sacred Money Archetypes and the 5 Sovereign Pillars Inside Your Business

There is another way. When you align your pricing with your Sacred Money Archetypes, you price from authenticity. From sovereignty.

You stop pricing to please. You start pricing to honor. Not just honor your needs— but honor the transformation you offer.

Pricing is one aspect of your business. There are 5 Pillars inside your business where you either act from fear or love.

When you know your Sacred Money Archetypes, you have an objective, money blueprint of your relationship with money. Each of the eight Archetypes have strengths, gifts, and challenges or shadows.

The combination of your Money Blueprint and the 5 Sovereign Pillars creates a vibrant lens through which you see your business is all its glory and shadows. There are no judgments or recriminations — only clarity in what needs to shift.

The end result is your Empowered Wealth Consciousness. Knowing when you are in the shadow side of your Archetypes and how to transform that area to your strengths.

There is so much more to share with you. Please download the free e-book from EmpoweredWay.com to begin your journey.

Thank you for being here, open to honestly look at your pricing decisions. Your willingness to see beyond your fear is why you are still called to extend your spiritual gifts.

    Reflection Prompt:

👉 Where are you lowering your price to be “nice”?

👉 What would it feel like to set a price that honors you AND your work?

Please Comment below and le’ts start a conversation.

    To your prosperity,

    Kathryn

  • The Hidden Conflict No One Talks About

    Hello Empowered Wayers -

You wake up every day with a mission. You feel called to serve. To guide. To heal. To share your gifts with the world.

But then reality hits. You look at your bank account and wonder: Why isn’t it working?

You’re doing everything they told you— posting online, showing up for clients, charging what you’re “worth.” And still, the money trickles in.

You feel a deep, quiet tension: How can I honor my spiritual path and still make money to not just survive, but thrive?

No one warned you that the systems you’re trying to follow— the funnels, launches, and pricing formulas— were created for a masculine way of doing business. The masculine business model thrives in an economy designed by men for men.

It’s no wonder you feel abandoned and frustrated. Your strengths as a women need a different environment to shine.

    The Masculine Economy

The masculine economy rewards hustle, control, and competition. It’s more linear in nature (A - B - C = D) and the results are measurable. The emphasis is on doing, not being.

Women tend to struggle in a masculine-based system, because it highlights a man’s strengths and dismisses feminine power. I can’t tell you how many times I sat in a meeting full of men, discussing a problem. When I offered a solution, it was dismissed out of hand, but after several minutes, another person - a man - made the same suggestion and everyone thought he was a genius.

Women’s stengths are more subtle and nuanced. We are wired for flow, intuition, and connecting the dots. Science has proven that women’s brains are more flexible than men’s, because women can access both the left and right side of their brains. Men tend to stay in one side or the other. The end result is that it takes a man longer to catch up to the conclusion the woman reached several minutes ago.

I am not disparaging men - far from it. We need your doing ability and focus! All I am asking is for you to be open to the fact that women think differently, and we may have some great insights that you haven’t considered.

    What helps women thrive?

You are wired for flow, intuition, connection. You seek out collaboration and valuable relationships that support the overall goals of the group. Data points and metrics come later, after you have allowed your intuition to guide your next steps.

But we live in a masculine economy, don’t we? And every time you try to force yourself to succeed in that system, something inside you resists. You feel drained. You feel off.

Please know - there’s nothing wrong with you. You are operating inside a system that wasn’t designed to support you.

It’s not a mindset problem. It’s your inner wisdom whispering: There’s another way.

Here’s what I want you to hear: You don’t have to choose between your spiritual calling and financial abundance. That’s a false choice.

Your wealth doesn’t come from how hard you work.

It comes from how aligned you are with Divine Love.

When you learn to create from your strengths and access the authentic you, people notice. You stand in the sweet spot of being, and from that place, money flows—not because you chase it, but because you’re finally open to receive.

The conflict you feel isn’t failure. It’s your invitation to show up differently - as presence.

Presence is knowing you are beloved. You came from Love and as you give Love (through being), you receive Love in return. You are present to the Presence of Life that animates everything. It’s a beautiful exchange of giving and receiving. ♾️

There is so much to share with you as we walk this journey together. For now, please take a moment and reflect on your business.

    Reflection Prompt:

    * Have you ever felt torn between your spiritual path and the need to make money?

    * What’s one place in your business where you’ve felt out of alignment?

    * How can you be more present in your daily tasks?

Please Comment below—I’d love to hear from you.

    Blessings,

    Kathryn

  • Turn Away from Fear and Toward The Astonishing Light of Your Being

    Hello Dear Ones -

Everywhere I go, people are complaining about the chaos in their lives, the economy, and the world. The energy of change has touched us deeply, and the fear reactions are taking over.

I would like to offer another way to live inside the chaos.

Meditate and calm your fears. Be still and know that all is well. Breathe deeply and allow yourself to be for ten minutes.

When you mind is screaming at you to DO SOMETHING, JOIN A PROTEST, or simply write snarky comments on social media, you have turned away from your Self. Yes - that Self.

The result is more chaos and more fear. Is that what you really want?

My hope is because you clicked on this newsletter and have read this far, you don’t want more chaos and fear. Thank you for turning away and turning within.

Listen for ten minutes to the following meditation (click on the photo). Then notice how you feel. Calmer, more present, less chaotic.

Remember, you are in charge of your mind, heart, and soul. Just because everyone around you is screaming obscenities at the current political party in charge doesn’t mean you have to join in. Just because those around you are losing their minds over the stock market, tariffs, DOGE, or Ukraine, doesn’t mean you can’t say, “I am going to meditate.”

Just think, as you become calmer, others around you notice. As you refuse to buy into the current hysteria, you become an island of trust in a sea of fear.

All it takes is one person who decides, “Not for me. Not today.”

    You are that person.

    Blessings,

    Kathryn

P.S. If you are a plus member of Insight Timer, you have access to my new course called, Empowered Wealth Consciousness: How to Thrive in the Divine Economy.

  • Empty Your Cup: How Releasing Old Stories Transforms Your Life

Thanks for reading Empowered Way! This post is public so feel free to share it.

    Hello Empowered Wayers!

I have always been in love with inspirational stories and metaphors. They reveal truths about living as a human being, how to release old patterns, and what to do next.

I began my spiritual journey the moment I realized I created stories about myself, my value, and my place in the world. When I stepped away from living from inside the story, I regained my power to create again.

When you are the subject of the story, you remain the victim. Your world is determined by the events that happen outside of you. Events that you can never control, but only interpret so they have meaning.

When you are the author of the story, you are empowered with your innate creative abilities. Just as an artist can stand back and look at her painting, you can stand back and look at the parts of your life that are subpar.

One of my favorite quotes on this subject is from Rumi,

"Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion."

Can you feel the intensity of emotion in those words? They almost demand that you change your limiting stories so you can become who you came here to be.

Ten years ago, I wrote a short story that illustrates how limiting stories impact your view of the world.

    The Monk and the Teacup

There was once a rich, important man who was desperate to know the answer to the question – What is it all for? Although he had amassed a fortune that allowed him to own three mansions, a fleet of luxury cars, and enough designer clothes to never wear the same outfit twice, he wasn't happy and did not feel fulfilled. Each night, he would gaze out from the floor-to-ceiling windows of his penthouse apartment, watching the twinkling city lights below, feeling an emptiness that no acquisition had ever filled. He was tired of the struggle to get more, be more, and do more.

So the rich man traveled to a remote region in Tibet, where jagged mountains pierced the clear blue sky and prayer flags fluttered in the crisp mountain breeze. He sought to speak to a monk who had the reputation of deep wisdom, profound knowledge, and a stunning intellect. The monastery itself seemed to grow from the mountainside, ancient stones weathered by centuries of wind and snow, its golden roof catching the sunlight like a beacon.

But instead of an immediate audience with the monk, the rich man was kept waiting for several days. Through the monastery's open corridors, he could see the monk walking calmly around the grounds, his saffron robes billowing gently in the wind, his face serene despite the harsh mountain elements. The rich man's ego and his meticulously planned schedule screamed for a resolution, and he persistently demanded his audience with the monk.

"The Venerable One will see you when it is time," replied a young novice monk, his eyes downcast, voice gentle but firm. "Not before."

"Do you know who I am?" the rich man snapped, his voice echoing against the stone walls. "I've flown halfway around the world! My time is valuable!"

"As is everyone's," the novice replied softly. "Yet time flows differently here."

After several more days of impatient waiting, pacing the stone floors like a caged tiger, the rich man finally gained his audience with the monk. His annoyance and frustration had coalesced into a hard knot in his chest, threatening to explode when the monk finally walked into the sparsely furnished meditation room and sat down across from him.

The rich man could not sit still. He fidgeted in his chair, fingers drumming against his thigh, and his body was stiff and rigid as an iron rod. His face was hard, deep lines etched between his brows, and his eyes were like laser beams of intensity, boring into the monk's placid face. The rich man's expensive tailored suit, so out of place in these ancient surroundings, seemed to constrict his movements as he nearly vibrated off the chair with barely contained rage.

The monk was calm and serene, his weathered face showing the gentle lines of someone who smiled often. His movements were deliberate and unhurried, even in the face of the agitated man before him. The contrast in energy between them was palpable in the small room. It was almost as if there was a red, angry glow surrounding the rich man, while the monk was bathed in a blue, tranquil light.

Before the rich man could demand an answer to his question, the monk raised one hand, palm facing outward.

"Wait," he said, his voice low and resonant like distant thunder. "First, we must observe the ritual of welcome."

The rich man opened his mouth to protest but thought better of it. He was astute enough to understand that rituals must be observed, and he visibly tried to calm himself, taking a deep breath that did little to soothe his irritation. But he was still seething inside by the manner in which he had been treated, made to wait like a common supplicant when back home, people waited on him.

A young monk entered carrying a lacquered tray with an ancient teapot, steam rising from its spout, and two exquisite porcelain cups that looked as delicate as eggshells. The scent of jasmine and exotic spices filled the room as the tea was placed on the small oval table between them, carved from a single piece of dark wood worn smooth by centuries of use.

The monk began playing host with the careful movements of someone performing a sacred ceremony. He lifted the teapot with both hands, its glaze catching the light from the paper lanterns overhead, and poured his guest a cup of tea. The amber liquid streamed in a perfect arc into the cup. He gestured to his guest to pick up his cup and saucer, and the monk began pouring across the small table.

    And kept pouring.

It didn't take long for the small cup to overflow with tea. The rich man's eyes widened in disbelief as tea spilled over the lip and onto the saucer. The saucer quickly filled up with hot liquid and spilled over onto the man's lap and pants, staining the expensive fabric dark.

The rich man burst up from his seat, tea dripping from his ruined clothes. His face flushed crimson, a vein throbbing at his temple.

"I've had it!" he roared, his voice echoing off the stone walls. "Is this how you treat someone who has come all this way for your wisdom? With disrespect and humiliation?"

The monk calmly moved the pot away from his guest and poured himself a cup, the movement precise and controlled. He closed his eyes and smiled as he enjoyed the aroma of the herbs and spices, inhaling deeply as if the rich man's outburst were nothing more than a gentle breeze. He took one appreciative sip and set down his cup, deliberately and with great care, the porcelain making the softest sound against the saucer. He placed his hands in his lap and finally looked up at his guest. His expression was calm, but the intensity in his eyes spoke volumes.

The rich man was oblivious to the monk's steady gaze. He was so caught up in his emotions that he was now yelling and berating everyone in the room.

"This is outrageous! Do you have any idea what my time is worth? What my clothes cost? I could buy and sell this entire monastery! I demand an apology, or I'll make sure this place doesn't see another tourist for the next century!"

Shouting, insults, threats—none of them had any visible impact on his audience. The other monks stood silently, hands folded, eyes down, as unmovable as the mountains outside. Finally, the rich man was so exhausted that he had to sit down, collapsing back into his chair like a puppet whose strings had been cut.

He looked down at his pants, the expensive fabric ruined, and said in a small, dejected voice that seemed to come from somewhere deep inside him, "I give up."

The monk smiled directly at the man, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and clapped his hands together once, the sound sharp and clear in the quiet room.

"Now," he said, his voice warm with genuine pleasure, "we will begin our visit."

The rich man was dumbfounded. He could not speak for a moment, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. Finally, he had to ask a question. His voice scratched with the effect of his screaming as he asked softly, "Why was I kept waiting for days and then you came in here without a word and poured tea all over me?" He shook his head in confusion and his shoulders slumped forward, the fight gone out of him. He muttered to himself, "I guess I'll never learn the answer to my question, 'What is it all for?'"

At that statement, the monk did a most startling thing. His shoulders began to shake and laughter spilled out from deep inside, starting as a chuckle and building to a full-bodied sound. He threw his head back and laughed so hard that his stomach hurt, tears gathering at the corners of his eyes. All the other monks in the room joined him, until the laughter was like a glistening bubble, surrounding everything and everyone in the room with its infectious joy.

The rich man couldn't speak. He felt so lost and alone that he started to cry, hot tears welling up unbidden. "They are laughing at me," he thought, the words echoing in his mind like stones dropped into a deep well. Instant shame flooded his body and long-forgotten feelings of rejection rose up and clenched his throat. He felt like he was 10 years old again, being bullied in the schoolyard, the laughter of the other children cutting deeper than any physical blow ever could. Deep, primal sobs wracked his body as that long-forgotten pain came up, breaking through decades of carefully constructed defenses.

The laughter and the sobs mixed together in an unusual symphony. Human joy and pain. All in the same space, at the same time and at the same moment. Beautiful and dark, all at once, like the play of shadow and light on the monastery walls.

Finally, the storm passed. The rich man sat back in his chair, totally defenseless, his expensive suit disheveled, his carefully styled hair falling across his forehead, his face tear-stained. The monk was pleased with the man's progress and began his teaching.

"Now you are ready to listen to what I have to share," he began, his voice gentle as a father speaking to a beloved child.

The rich man glanced up and saw only love and acceptance in the monk's eyes, deep and bottomless as mountain lakes. The ridicule he expected to see because of the laughter was not there. He slowly stood up and walked to each of the other monks, looking deeply into their eyes. All of them held the same light of acceptance, knowing, and love, their faces open and kind.

In that moment, the rich man came face to face with a stark truth – that he had misinterpreted the monks' laughter because of his own pain from the past. He assumed the reason the monks were laughing was because he was an outsider, a foreigner who was not privy to their ways. Very much like when he was ridiculed and bullied for being smaller than the other boys on the playground, when each laugh felt like a knife in his heart.

The interpretation of his past in contrast to the present moment should have been completely different. Instead, he allowed his past to filter the present back into the past. And he could not have been more wrong.

This flash of insight humbled the man. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply several times, the clean mountain air filling his lungs, integrating this new knowledge into the very core of his being. He did this without thinking or questioning. He just knew that is what he needed to do in that moment, as if some ancient wisdom had awakened within him.

After a brief period, the rich man opened his eyes and smiled, feeling lighter than he had in years. He returned to his chair and faced the monk, looking deeply into his eyes. He bowed, hands folded in front of him, and said softly, "I am so sorry."

The monk was pleased. He said with great dignity, his voice resonating with truth, "You are welcome."

The rich man felt better than he had in years. No longer was his stomach knotted up with tension or his head filled with voices of recrimination or ridicule. The weight of expectations – both his own and others' – seemed to lift from his shoulders. He felt something that he had not experienced in a long time.

He was full of peace, as vast and clear as the Tibetan sky.

He sat with that knowledge for several minutes, the only sound the distant chanting of monks in another part of the monastery and the soft whisper of prayer flags in the wind. He noticed that his pants were still wet from the tea but it no longer enraged him. It was just something that happened, like rain or snow – neither good nor bad in itself. But the monk's actions still confused the man, so he asked him, "Why did you pour tea on me?"

The monk smiled as if he were waiting for that question, as if the rich man had finally asked the question that mattered. He picked up the tea cup, holding it in his weathered hands, turning it to catch the light.

"You are like this cup," he said, his voice like smooth stones in a river bed. "A container meant to hold."

The rich man nodded for the monk to continue, truly listening perhaps for the first time in his life.

"When you walked into this room, your cup was full," the monk said, gesturing to the cup, now empty and clean. The monk paused for effect, his eyes holding the rich man's gaze, and then said, "Now your cup is empty and you are ready to hear."

The man nodded in understanding and bowed again, humbly accepting his mistakes. The gesture felt natural now, not forced or performed. He no longer saw himself as a rich, important man who could bully others so that he felt better. His story about his place in the world had shifted dramatically and permanently, like the tectonic plates beneath the Tibetan mountains.

His past was in the past and could only affect the present moment if he chose to allow it. His future was not something he could control. Instead, it is a blank canvas on which he would paint his dreams and desires, and allow the creative powers of a being much larger than himself to fulfill.

In another flash of insight, as clear and bright as the mountain sun, he spoke the two most powerful words any creator can proclaim. He said those words with great intent and total comprehension of what he was declaring. He acknowledged his own power to create the meaning of his experiences, and in that declaration, discovered the answer to the question, "What is it all for?"

The man said, simply, "I am."

And in that moment, it was enough.

    A Note to You

Is your cup full of limiting stories? Know that you created them to protect yourself. Learn how to step out of your stories and back into being a creator, by reminding yourself who you really are.

"I wish I could show you, When you are lonely or in darkness, The Astonishing Light Of your own Being!" - Hafiz

I first saw this quote written on the stairs of The Shakespeare Book Company in Paris, France. It stayed with me and I created a meditation based on the truth expressed in those few words.

The short meditation, “The Astonishing Light of Your Being” may help you remember. Your intention to remember will bring more ways to see through your stories and know you are light.

As always, blessings on your journey,

    Kathryn

  • 7 Ways to Balance Spiritual Values with Financial Success

    Hello Empowered Wayers:

How do you balance spiritual values with financial success?

You know what I’m talking about: You’re doing what you love, helping others, and pouring your heart into your work. But when it comes to setting prices, asking for payments, or promoting your services, it feels...off. Almost like you’re betraying your purpose.

The longer this feeling lingers, the harder it becomes to sustain your business. You start doubting your worth, undercharging, or even avoiding opportunities altogether.

What if you could feel good about earning money while staying true to your values? What if abundance flowed naturally without guilt or hesitation?

I struggled until I discovered the secret

I struggled for years making my business sustainable. Every time I signed a new client, another bill came in, offsetting the reward. It wasn’t until I stepped into Empowered Wealth Consciousness that my energy shifted and abundance became second nature.

What is Empowered Wealth Consciousness (EWC)?

It’s the expansion of your consciousness as the wealthy you. Before this sentence makes sense, you have to understand the definition of “wealth” I teach.

    Wealth = well-being

When you are aligned in your spiritual values in all aspects of you - mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and yes, financial - you will exerience wealth as well-being. If you’re not sure how to begin, I have compiled seven practices that will get you started.

    1. Start Your Day with a Meditation for Abundance

Meditation is more than just quieting the mind; it’s about setting your intention. When you begin your day with a focused meditation on abundance, you align your thoughts and energy with prosperity. This simple practice creates a powerful mindset that welcomes opportunities.

Imagine yourself in a peaceful place, repeating the mantra, “I am open to receiving abundance in all forms.” Feel the energy of this affirmation flow through you, dissolving any resistance or fear. The more you practice this, the more natural it becomes to feel worthy of abundance.

Try this: Tomorrow morning, take 5 minutes to sit quietly, breathe deeply, and repeat your chosen abundance mantra. Notice how it shifts your energy for the day.

    2. Visualize Your Ideal Client Saying “Yes”

Visualization is a powerful tool to prepare your mind for success. Before a meeting, client call, or any important moment, take a few minutes to visualize the ideal outcome. Imagine your client smiling, feeling aligned with your offer, and expressing excitement to work with you.

By doing this, you not only boost your confidence but also set the tone for a positive interaction. Your energy becomes more open and inviting, which clients can sense. This mindset also helps you stay calm and grounded, even if the conversation doesn’t go exactly as planned.

Picture yourself sharing your service with enthusiasm, and see the client nodding, expressing how your work resonates with them. The more vividly you imagine this scenario, the more your actions naturally align with that positive expectation.

Try this: Before your next client call, spend 2 minutes imagining the conversation going smoothly and successfully. Feel the gratitude for the connection and the excitement of working together.

    3. Use Affirmations to Rewire Your Money Mindset

Affirmations are a powerful way to shift your relationship with money. When you repeat positive statements consistently, you start believing them. This practice rewires your subconscious to see financial abundance as your natural state.

Start with simple affirmations like, “I am worthy of financial success” or “Money flows to me easily and effortlessly.” Repeat these during your morning routine or whenever self-doubt creeps in. The goal is to replace old, limiting beliefs with new, empowering ones.

Imagine yourself feeling confident and grateful as you receive payment for your work. Visualize your clients happily paying for your services, knowing they’re receiving immense value. This practice not only attracts wealth but also shifts how you perceive your own worth.

Try this: Choose one affirmation that resonates with you and write it on a sticky note. Place it where you’ll see it throughout your day—on your desk, mirror, or phone. Repeat it every time you see it.

    4. Ground Yourself with Gratitude Practices

Gratitude is a magnetic force that attracts more of what you appreciate. When you practice gratitude, you tune your energy to abundance and open yourself up to receive more.

One simple way to ground yourself in gratitude is to start a daily list of three things you’re thankful for. They don’t have to be big—just sincere. Maybe it’s a new client, a kind message, or a moment of clarity.

Gratitude helps you see your business as a blessing rather than a burden. When you focus on what’s working, you’ll notice more opportunities to grow and thrive.

Try this: Write down three things you’re grateful for in your business today. Keep this list visible, and add to it throughout the week.

    5. Reframe Financial Challenges as Growth Opportunities

Instead of seeing financial setbacks as failures, view them as lessons. This mindset shift transforms challenges into valuable experiences that help you grow as an entrepreneur.

When a client backs out or a launch doesn’t meet expectations, ask yourself, “What did I learn from this? How can I improve next time?” Acknowledging the lesson helps you move forward with confidence instead of getting stuck in self-doubt.

Imagine reframing a past setback as a stepping stone that taught you resilience. Notice how this perspective feels lighter and more empowering.

Try this: Think of a recent financial challenge and write down one positive takeaway. How did it shape your approach moving forward?

    6. Celebrate Small Wins to Build Momentum

Celebrating even the smallest achievements keeps your motivation high and reminds you of the progress you’re making. Whether it’s gaining a new client, publishing a blog post, or finishing a task you’ve been putting off, every step forward counts.

When you recognize and honor your efforts, you build positive momentum. This approach keeps your energy vibrant and helps you focus on progress rather than perfection.

Imagine giving yourself a little celebration dance after a productive day or treating yourself to a special cup of tea when you complete a project. These small moments of acknowledgment build confidence and excitement.

Try this: At the end of today, write down one win—no matter how small—and give yourself credit for it. Reflect on how that success contributes to your larger vision.

    7. Cultivate an Abundance Mindset with Daily Rituals

A consistent practice of abundance rituals keeps your mind focused on prosperity. Whether it’s lighting a candle with intention, journaling about your goals, or visualizing your dream life, daily rituals create a foundation of positivity and purpose.

Think of rituals as anchors that keep you grounded, especially during challenging times. They remind you of your power to shape your reality and maintain a prosperous mindset.

One simple ritual is to start your day by expressing gratitude out loud. Say, “Thank you for the opportunities coming my way today.” This sets the tone for an abundant mindset from the moment you wake up.

Try this: Create a simple abundance ritual for your morning routine. Whether it’s lighting a candle, repeating an affirmation, or visualizing your success, make it something that feels meaningful to you.

  • What Happens When You Meet Someone

Hello Empowered Wayers! This week, I am honored to have a special guest on Empowered Way. I have admired Barbara Cook for many years. We both contributed articles to Medium and I would always smile when I saw her highlight something I wrote.

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Barbara, asking me to listen to the recording she made of her book, “Good Choices: A Soul’s Journey.” As the story unfolded, I was captivated by the characters and the spiritual perspective it offered.

I decided to ask Barbara to be a guest on Empowered Way.

Her email carried enough energy to be sent without the internet! Her resounding “Yes!” brought us together, across time and space to share and enjoy each other’s company.

My hope is you enjoy our conversation - and you download her book. It contains some revolutionary ideas that will change how you look at the trajectory of your life.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for sharing this article. Thank you for being you.

    To your prosperity,

    Kathryn

P.S. Barbara’s book is on Amazon in Kindle and paperback.

Please leave her a nice review. That is the best way to pay an author a compliment.

  • How the Light Changed Me

    Hello Empowered Wayers!

I have traveled to Chartres, France several times and walked the world famous labyrinth laid in the floor of the Cathedral. This story is about the first time I entered the Cathedral, unaware of what I would experience.

    *********

The earth spins silently around the sun, revolving from day to night then day in the eternal celestial dance. The sun shines on all parts of the earth equally, without reservation or discernment. It also shines on all humans equally, no matter their color, culture or creed.

You may have forgotten that sunlight shines equally, but there is a sacred place in France that will help you remember.

Notre-Dame de Chartres Cathedral was partially built in 1145 and reconstructed after a fire in 1194. It is a stunning example of French Gothic art, with a vast nave and porches adorned with life-size sculptures from the 12th century. But it was the stain-glass windows crafted in the 12th and 13th centuries that took my breath away.

The light shining through the stained glass tells stories from 2,000 years ago and the magnificence of the art and colors touches something deep inside. From the outside, the stained glass looks dark and dingy. But from the inside, illuminated by sunlight, the stories spring to life in vivid color.

Little did I know that when I visited the Cathedral in 2018, I would be transformed. Hidden in the dark folds of my awareness, the light illuminated a truth that was always present, waiting for my acknowledgment.

As I stood in front of the entrance, I had no idea what I was about to experience.

Pushing open the heavy wooden door and walking into the gloom of the interior, my eyes took a moment to adjust. Even though I couldn’t discern details of the interior, I sensed a vast space rising above me, seemingly to infinity.

Slowly, my eyes adjusted to the gloom and I felt small, insignificant, in the face of so much space. What ccould hold me together so I didn’t spin apart?

The stained glass windows. They hold the key to emptiness. They give meaning to life because of the story they tell.

Sunlight from a zillion miles away filters through the glass, coloring the floor in the rich colors of red, amber, green, and gold.

About 80% of the glass is original, and it creates the largest collection of Middle Ages stained-glass in the world. The original luminosity has survived the 100 Years War, religious wars, the French Revolution, and both World Wars.

To say they are breathtaking does not do them justice.

These pieces of color tell the story of creation, destruction, and the coming of the one who will save us from ourselves. The story of Christianity is told in these panes of glass - 1,100 of them.

It wasn’t the minute details that fascinated me, but the sense of reverence that permeated the air. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims have traveled to this site to adore Mary, the mother of Jesus. They walked on these stones in their bare feet or with sandals that had almost disintegrated, taking one more step to reach their dream.

To adore and appreciate the Shroud of Mary that is encased in the far left corner of this magnificent Cathedral.

As I stood in front of the chapel, gazing at the shroud, I couldn’t help but think of how many people have done the same thing. How many others have felt the loving energy from this simple piece of cloth that Mary wore on the day she gave birth to Jesus?

The stained glass above the shroud filters the light, changing it to reveal the stories told in stunning colors. It struck me that I was being educated by the artisans who created this art, just as the pilgrims from hundreds of years ago.

Perhaps the pilgrims found what they were looking for. I felt the loving energy from the shroud, but I was still searching…for something.

What was I searching for? That question stayed with me as I turned away.

I continued to the opposite side of the Cathedral, passing several other alcoves and places of worship. I moved slowly and reverently, befitting such a holy space. I felt drawn to something inside the vast expanse of this building, but I didn’t know what I was searching for.

Until I saw it on the floor as if it were waiting for me.

A single beam of light, shining through a piece of clear glass. There were no stories filtering the light, just a clear opening for it to shine in all of its brilliance.

The light drew me like a moth to a flame and I was helpless to resist. I stood in its brilliance, a powerful connection drawing me ever closer to the Divine.

In the place of a million stories (told in the stained glass and in the hearts of all who had ever set foot in this building), God found me and loved me, without my having to do anything but allow his love to flow into my heart.

The light changed for me at that moment.

My long-held stories of unworthiness, not-enoughness, and failures dissolved. The strident voice of my ego stilled, as if in awe of the energy that flowed into me. I was still me, but not the small me I had created over the years.

The sacred space that had drawn thousands over the centuries had pierced me with the light of awareness. Instead of looking outside myself for validation, I was worthy to stand in the light, unadorned and unafraid of the truth of whom I am.

I was no longer a seeker because I had been found.

    Blessings,

    Kathryn

    P. S. The Cathedral de Chartres is a UNESCO Heritage Site. It is about one hour from Paris by train and well worth the trip. To gain an appreciation of the art, sculptures, and stain glass, take a few moments and visit Panoramic Views. It takes a few minutes to load the photos, so be patient.

  • The Reality of Divine Love

    Hello my beautiful Empowered Wayers:

After meditating this morning, the following thoughts flowed through my mind to share with you. Please take a deep breath and read the words, allowing the energy of love to flow through you.

    _______________________________________________________________________________________

In the chaos of today’s world, where anger, judgment, violence, and hatred seem to rule, there is a place you can go to return to yourself.

The world cannot touch this place. The world is outside of you and this place of stillness is inside of you, invulnerable and immovable.

When you get lost in your thinking, you’re caught in the outside world of opinions, judgments, and directives. When you believe what you think, your ego takes over, because this is its playground - your mind.

Look around you to see the consequences of believing in thinking. Division, separation, silence, and judgment. All the products of believing in your thinking, and allowing the ego to be the commander of your life.

    There is another way.

Take a moment, breathe deeply and go beneath your thoughts. Go into that still inner place that you may not have visited in a while. It is always there waiting for you.

It is the reality of Divine Love.

As you practice discipline and turn away from the ego mind and its siren song of addiction, comparison, and unworthiness, you will discover another reality. Another place where you are whole, perfect, and complete… just as you are.

It is the reality of Divine Love. And it can only be found in the stillness of you.

    Go there now. Be well.

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________

Remember, you are loved unconditionally just as you are. Breath in that truth of you and allow it to dissolve your ego-mind’s control over your thoughts.

    * What would your life look like if you lived from knowing you are loved?

    * What would you do differently with the time you have?

    * Who would you become?

These are some of the questions I try to answer for myself as I reprogram my mind to turn away from ego and turn toward my inner light. It’s a journey of returning to what I knew was true about me before I allowed the world to tell me differently.

You are also on this journey of returning and discovering your self again.

Thank you for being part of Empowered Way. You make my heart sing.

    Blessings,

    Kathryn

  • When You Discover Sovereignty, Everything Changes.

    Hello Empowered Wayers!

When I first left my law career, I felt adrift in my purpose. I knew that there was something bigger for me to create and serve, but it didn’t take shape right away. My perception of what was possible was quite narrow, until I discovered what I was missing.

It took time, self-discovery, and meditation before the answer took shape. There were many subtle iterations of my business until my mission became clear. After completing the Empowered Way Journey myself and coaching women through the same process, my mission is clear.

At Empowered Way, women spiritual entrepreneurs heal their money wounds, so they can step into their sovereign power to peacefully create abundant wealth.

Women have never been taught how to be with money and create wealth from their sacred and sovereign power. I know I never learned from others that money is neutral energy, until I create meaning and stories about it. When those stories say more about my worth than they do about money, things get ugly.

I am here to help you navigate the waters of spiritual entrepreneurship with grace and ease. I invite you to discover your own sovereignty as you expand your awareness to the possibilities that have always been waiting for you, but you couldn’t see them.

As you heal your money wounds and expand your wealth consciousness, you discover the truth that was always there. As a sovereign being, your spiritual beliefs and practices align and inform your actions.

Instead of struggle and frustration, your work flows with a deep knowing of its value. Instead of discounting your services or products, you offer them with certainty of the potential transformation. Because you are no longer conflicted by limiting beliefs about money and your spiritual gifts, you show up in your work authentically.

It’s a cycle of becoming who you came here to be. Ever-evolving and expanding as your wealth consciousness expands.

Remember, you have a gift the world needs. When you step into your sovereignty, you are empowered to share that gift without guilt, fear, or doubt. The energy you send out as a gift returns to you magnified and expanded.

It’s a never-ending cycle of giving and receiving.

If you are curious to learn more about the spiritual side of money, my book called “The Money Tree: Transform Limiting Beliefs to Empowered Wealth Consciousness” is a great place to begin. It’s free on Amazon to Kindle Unlimited members.

Thank you for reading this post and being here. Together, we can make the world a better place.

    To your prosperity,

    Kathryn
