We’re wrapping up a powerful lunar month this week, one that began with a solar eclipse in Gemini in June and ends with a few bumpy aspects from Mars and Venus.

A story that began in 2018-2019 comes to a head this week as we navigate a powerful alignment of Mars, Saturn, and Uranus. We’re either breaking out of old patterns, making major changes, or seeing structural problem that must be addressed.

Mars not only opposes Saturn on July 1, but it makes a square to Uranus in Taurus. This powerful t-square energy needs an outlet. And if it doesn’t, it may show you where something needs to change or shift.

But Mars also trines Chiron, which means we have an opportunity to not only heal, but bravely move forward with something.

Saturn squares Uranus, one of the defining astrological events for 2021. As I’ve been saying all year long, it’s as if we  have one foot in a new life, one foot in an old one. How do we manage the push and pull?

If you’re a fixed sign — Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius — life probably looks a bit interesting right now. My joke of late has been, “The fixed signs are not so fixed right now.” Which is to say, the things that you never thought would change or shift are suddenly up to review.

Although Saturn and Uranus dominates the astrology this week (let’s not forget last week’s solar eclipse making waves), we arrive in Cancer Season late on Sunday, June 20. Plus, Jupiter turns retrograde in Pisces.

Here we are, the final eclipse of this season, a solar eclipse in Gemini.

Astrology is just the energy of time and how we live this symbolic time through its twelve root archetypes. When we get to Gemini, we're learning about the world around us, forming words and ideas to share and exchange. It's the sign of schooling and education as well as travel and movement. It's also the sign of choice.

A solar eclipse says that these will be key themes over the next six months. Life always presents us with a myriad of options even when we feel like there are none. So, perhaps, June is a fork in the road. Which way will you choose?

This week the headliner is, of course, a Gemini solar eclipse on June 10. But Mars also changes signs, arriving in Leo on June 11. When it does, it's going to heat up an already tense square between Saturn and Uranus.

As I've been saying throughout this year, it's as if we have one foot in a new life and another in an old. The next few weeks we may feel this doubly so.

We’ve got our first eclipse of the season this week, a full moon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on Wednesday, May 26. Life may be coming at us a little hard at the moment, especially if we’re a Gemini or a Sagittarius.

Eclipses correspond to major milestones and what I like to call Big Life. They turn us in a new direction. They usher in changes in jobs, moves, births, marriages.

With this eclipse highlighting Sagittarius, we’re really having to stand for what we believe in … or realize that, actually, we were wrong. There’s a need for surrender as well as to open up to new perspectives, ideas, and visions.

Mercury also turns retrograde this week, which means that the cosmos is packing things in. What will it mean for you?
