In this lecture, the EMT student will be introduced to the first chapter of most EMT programs. At the end of this lecture the EMT student should have an understanding of the EMS system, the four levels of EMT training, History of EMS, the 14 Components of the EMS system, Medical Direction, the Mobile Integrated Healthcare system, EMS Quality Improvement program, the Roles and Responsibilities of the EMT and the desired attributes of an EMT.
