It began after the death of his father led him to write his first song and his promising football career was cut short due to an injury in college. Even then, though, he still worked in NASCAR pit crews, was a contestant on ‘Survivor,’ co-wrote a hit song with the fellas from Florida Georgia Line, had early success, and did some soul searching during pandemic downtime, before more recently finally finding the path he wanted as an artist.
