When we encounter the presence of God, transformation takes place within us. Often, these moments lead us on a journey of healing and wholeness as we pursue Him and who He has created us to be. As we embrace our true identity, we are able to walk in the fullness we were created for, becoming living testimonies of His faithfulness and empowered to take the journey with others as they navigate life with God. In this episode, Liz connects with Candy Gilbert, who is a central part of the International Mentoring Community, and specifically in the area of prayer and intercession. Candy shares her powerful story of God’s hand throughout her life; how He called her back to the family of God, brought healing and restoration to painful places in her past, and gave her a heart to love and intercede for those around her.

Candy speaks to the ways that God revealed Himself to her and mended her heart after walking away from Him for 10 years. He set her free from lies she had come to believe that had been spoken over her, and walked with her through deep inner healing from an abortion in her youth, even encountering her in a dream and bringing a deep revelation of the mercy, grace, forgiveness, and love of Jesus to areas of wounding and shame. As Liz and Candy discuss, Candy experienced a longing for others to know that freedom and love, and stands in the gap for those in need through her prayers and intercession, faithfully holding people in her heart and releasing the Lord’s heart over a situation.
