We are back!

Endeavours is back from hiatus and welcomes film director Clare Niederpruem (Christmas With The Campbells) and actor Kamyar Pazandeh (Carousel Theatre's The Three Little Pigs). It's the holiday season, and theatre and film always make a big splash this time of year. Both the guests talk about what makes good Christmas entertainment!

Andrew Traucki is an Australian writer and director, who specializes in the horror genre. His latest is The Reef: Stalker, a sequel/companion piece to his hit 2010 Cult film The Reef. Starring Theresa Liane from Neighbours and Vampire Diaries, The Reef: Stalked follows four surfer friends who are a stalked by a lone great white shark. Much like the 2010 film, The Reef: Stalked utilizes real-life footage fo sharks. It was released on July 29th.

Melissa Bond is a narrative journalist and poet. She has blogged her journey of dependence on benzodiazepines and was a regular contributor for Mad in America. She has been featured on Risk!, IGNTD, and The Addiction Podcast. She recently released Blood Orange Night, which chronicles her struggle with addiction. It was released on June 14 through Simon & Schuster.

Lyrica Okano is an actress best known for her role as Nico Minoru in Runaways. In addition to reprising the role in the video game Midnight Suns, she also appears in the new romantic comedy Press Play opposite Clara Rugaard, Lewis Pullman, Matt Walsh and Danny Glover. The film is available now on Apple TV.

Kwasi Thomas is an actor and comedian, known for playing Z-Wreck on the hit series Snowpiercer, as well as Thomas in PillowTalk. He has appeared in several other shows including A Series of Unfortunate Events, Pup Academy, Altered Carbon, Lucifer, Motive, and Psych. He is currently starring in the play Passover, Ensemble Theatre's new summer piece, at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island. Kwasi also talks returning to live audiences, comedy, season 4 of Snowpiercer and more.

Oualid Mouaness is a Lebanese filmmaker and producer with an extensive background in documentaries and music videos. His first feature film as writer-director is 1982, a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the Lebanon War. Starring many non-professional actors as the school children, as well as Lebanese superstar Nadine Labacki as their teacher Miss Yasmine, 1982 is a tale of innocence disappearing. IT is out now.

Dale Scott is a former Major League Umpire who was present for some iconic games, including the 2001 World Series, seven weeks after 9/11, as well as being last umpire to ever eject the infamous Billy Martin. But Dale's story was unique even among those associated with baseball; in 2014 he made a bold decision and publicly came out as gay. In his new memoir The Umpire Is Out: Calling the Game and Living My True Self, he talks about being involved in the game while keeping a secret, his decision to reveal all in 2014, the response from players and fellow umpires, and his memories of the game - including Game 5 of the 2015 ALDS between Toronto and Texas and the 7th inning that broke the game. Documentarian looks at these at these questions and more in the new film A Taste of Whale, which examines "The grind", a pilot whale hunt that takes place every year in the Faroe Islands. Among pressure from activists such as Sea Shephard, and even push back within their own communities, the Faroese Hunters openly acknowledge some of their own concerns about the hunt, while maintaining tradition. Emily Skeggs is a Tony-nominated actress and certified horticulturalist.
